      Yeah, I was going for Twilight's first day of school with #1. I actually started it last week, before the horrors of Magic Kindergarten were revealed, but obviously knowing the subject of this weekend's episode was going to be Twilight freaking out about disappointing her teacher, it seemed appropriate.

      Looks like archiveit has beaten me to the punch, but just to spell it out, mycutiemarkisagun's reference for #3 is from "Night of the Hunter"; if you thought Twilight Sparkle was creepy in the new episode, you ought to see Robert Mitchum in that movie.

      #1: Wonderful depiction of first-day-of-school jitters. I wish the colored light of the stained glass window was accurately portrayed on Twilight, but I realize how crazy difficult that would be.

      #2: Uh, no. Do not want, do not find funny, next image plese.

      #8: Why is Applejack making this offer in a barrel-shaped wooden basin? Is this supposed to be saucy somehow?

      #21: This is a really unusual interpretation of Derpy, though I can't say I dislike it.

      #27: Approaching dangerous levels of cuteness! If Hasbro put out a Smartypants ragdoll or plush, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Favorite of the night.

      #39: Cute scene, and (once again) I really like the colors in this one. Though I don't really see why tending to a friend's wounds is considered shipping...

      #1: Now that it's up, I see that the yellow light of the window washed all of the blue out of Twilight's hair. That's going to bug me now.

      #2: I pray Hasbro doesn't make this a playset... but I did laugh.

      #3: You know Fluttershy goes wild when nobody is looking.

      #4: That's not what that fainting couch is for, Rarity!

      #5: This one is cute. Apparently Bears appreciate tough love. Or tough chiropractic care.

      #6: I know AJ is fond of her current one, but that is a damn nice hat.

      #22: Dash rocks safety goggles. It does make me think that lab is about to blow up though.

      #23: Once I saw it, Pinkie stalking Dash on the beach made me laugh out loud.

      #24: Cowed Twilight was one of my favorite moments of the last episode. I know some people felt it lacked heart, but I thought there was quite a bit crammed into the resolution.

      #25: Say what you want about Trixie, but she knows how to grab an audience.

      #26: I really hope Smartypants makes another appearance. I have to imagine she will... at least in a background somewhere. They like to reuse their assets.

      #27: Speaking of which, this image could not possibly be any sweeter.

      #28: I wish I could have this as my own catchphrase.

      #29: I wonder what other treasures Twilight keeps in that trunk.

      #30: Do you think Big Mac will fix her eye? Buttons have to be more rare in a land where the citizens only rarely wear clothes. It would be a shame for Smartypants to lose it.

      #31: Still sweet. My theory is that Twilight's own love for Smartypants was amplified by her spell, making all of Ponyville want it more than she could have expected.

      #32: I kind of hope it pops so that Pinkie gets helium voice. Of course, once her voice goes up only dogs will be able to hear it.

      #36: Man, I feel so left out not knowing much about Fallout. The amount of story there is pretty daunting though.

      #37: Not sure what this is a reference to, but Armored Applejack is pretty cool.

      #38: The textured background works so well with Cheshire Twilight. I can almost hear her demented little giggle.

      #39: Ouch! I can so see Fluttershy tending to a scratched up Derpy though...

      I had started to pattern the window over Twilight, but I abandoned it pretty quickly as I worried the fractured color (and especially the shadows of the leading) camouflaged her too much, and I wanted the picture to read well at a reduced size.

      A more patient artist would have put in the time to make it work, but I'm more than a bit lazy. ;-)

      26: This is cute. I'm a big FlutterMac fan, but I also think TwiMac is closer to canon now, not to mention, i love the idea of Big Mac and Twi together. Opposites attract, and all...

      In the previous episode, Dig Mac licks Twi's face.

      In this episode, Twilight gets launched, plot first, right into Big Mac's muzzle, then after the "Want it, Need It" spell is fully dispelled by Celestia, we learn he still wants Twilight's fillyhood toy.

      I think Big Mac is developing a liking, maybe even an obsession with Twilight Sparkle.

      Next we'll find a shrine to Twilight in the apple cellar.

      I personally think it would be very cute if Big Mac was shyly attracted to Twilight, and everypony noticed, except the adorkably oblivious Twilight, who wouldn't see the obvious even if his muzzle were buried in her plot... Oh, yeah, that already happened.

Every city, town, village, and community probably has at least one little pegasus filly or colt that looks up to her as a hero. She is a role model in most any place.       I am very tired again tonight so I shall refrain from one of my usual lengthy reviews. However, I would like to say that #1 is gorgeous for the lighting alone (that stained glass window looks real; much kudos Harwick), #14 is making me reconsider even trying my hand at therapist-Twilight because I don't think I could ever top this (adore it <3), #16 is all my love and #18 is one of the cutest things I have seen all week. My totally biased self is absolutely loving all the Applejack and Rarity tonight.
