I really do love Rarity's family and I'd love to see more of them in future episodes. It looks like her parents have some cool personalities just waiting to be fleshed out.

The DVD version of Rainbow Rocks appears to be a bit jumbled. The 5th and 6th chapters play in reverse when the DVD is played from the main menu. If you navigate to the chapter menu and start the DVD there from the first, it should play correctly. Shout Factory released a statement on their website detailing it (also below the break).
This shouldn't effect the Blu-ray versions, but it does hit the DVD that is included with those.

While it may not be as badass as Trixie riding a giant lizard thing through the jungle all adventure-like, we have a bit of news buried in an article about a Thanksgiving Day Parade over in Philadelphia. Why did I use that image? Because its awesome, and "Trixie Riding a Float" in google came up with that first.

Funko's new lineup of POP figurines has been tossed up on Amazon for pre-reader, covering the four you see up above. They also dropped a release date of December 31st, though that could be a placeholder if past releases are any indication.

They gave ponies hands, and while not nearly as exciting as hooves, it was still a good hiatus distraction. Today marks the official release of the DVD/Blu-Ray, as well as a couple of digital download locations for those like me that don't want to clutter the room up with cases.
Anyway, I'll shut up and let you go grab one of you want it!

As I return from Nightmare Nights Dallas and immediately fall asleep (yes I went to bed), Amy Keating Rogers replied to that news from yesterday involving Broadway Actress Lena Hall's new Friendship is Magic entrance.
From the sounds of it, Amy Keating Rogers was the mind behind the writing on the episode. Are we going to get a full on musical? What madness is in our future here!?
