Flyghtning's new track about Daring Do builds up steadily and appreciably with some heavy trance bass and plcuk-y sounds, with percussive influences growing throughout as well. Whilst the build is classic trance, there's an interesting bass wobble section in the middle that helps to break up the slow nature of the piece. This is a pretty absorbing work from Flyghtning, so check it out below to get into the zone!

Way back during the early days of EQD, we had an issue of fanfics flooding the front page. Every single time one updated, it would be bumped, and other content was getting thrown to the side because of it. Eventually we had story update compilation posts, but they were still frequent enough that many used the tag.
Now days, those posts aren't too common either, so we are going to go ahead and sunset the Not-Fanfiction tag. I don't think many even realize it exists anymore since we removed the button ages ago.
This will be the final post with the tag going forward, assuming I don't accidentally add it to posts after years of muscle memory!

Zap2it still hasn't put actual numbers on the final 6 episode reveals, so we aren't too sure what order they go in. If the air dates they have available are the order. Hopefully that changes soon.

It's been a while, but it's finally time! The new My Little Pony Collectible Card Game expansion, Defenders of Equestria, has an official release date of June 16, with Prerelease Events being held in stores around North America on June 9, 10, and 11.
Why go to a prerelease? It's your first chance to get 8 packs of Defenders of Equestria before they're on shelves, plus you get the promo foil version of the new Song Card "It's Gonna Work," one of the Changeling Tokens that are used with a powerful new Problem in DoE, a button featuring the Thoraxy set symbol, and one of the Earth Pony Tokens from last set starring Apple Bloom which has been pretty hard to find in the wild. There are also winner prizes and door prizes of stuff like MLP dog tags and pins, packs from previous MLP:CCG sets, and super rare all-foil packs.
A map of North American prerelease locations is coming next week. If you want a prerelease at your local store you should check in with them to make sure they signed up. If they aren't signed up yet, let them know they can email [email protected] to join in on the fun. An alternative to SFM is something a lot of people have been asking for, and MythicSpeed continues to deliver. Starlight, Trixie, Lyra, Octavia, and an armada of others have been done in the last few months in a completely unique style compared to the SFM ponies we are used to.

Not surprising considering the Equestria Girls Specials and their air dates, but in a presser from Discovery Family for June they have called the upcoming episode 'Not Asking for Trouble' their mid-season finale!
I wonder how long the hiatus afterwards will last?

We finally have some news on the Equestria Girls specials! While we have been following the releases of the specials over in Poland we have heard nothing about airings on Discovery Family, until now.
In a press release from the channel they announce the specials will start airing on June 24, July 1 and July 8 airing in the time slot for ponies at 11:30am each day so I guess we now know when our mini-hiatus is this summer.

With the reveal of season 8's 26 episode amount yesterday, Mike Vogel tweeted a hint in response to Big Jim's Twitter account that he is once again on board as a writer for a few of the episodes. His work so far includes "Hearth's Warming Tail", "Spice Up Your Life", and the season season 6 finale in collaboration with Jogh Haber.
