Rainbow Dash sure is a popular pony for when you just want to draw a pony. Or if you want to practice skylines and lighting.
News time guys, get some after the break!
Description: The war touched everypony, even those far from the fighting. Compass Rose was affected more than most when gryphons appeared far behind the front lines, and the aftermath left her unwillingly in the company of an enemy soldier. Set in the same universe as Off The Edge Of The Map, Apotheosis, and Triptych. Editing by Kaorin.

You can put the pitchforks and torches down, this isn't about FiM.
iO9 recently posted an article listing 12 Strange and Disturbing facts about Generation 1 of My Little Pony. While all the facts are true, they're presented in a light that makes for a good laugh filled reading. For instance, did you know that the original MLP featured a Ram Demon Necromancer?
The reaction the uninitiated have to the original special—Rescue at Midnight Castle (which is misspelled for added hilarity)—always leaves me with a smile on my face.
So, if you're up to learning a little bit about MLP's past in a humorous manner, you can hit up the article here!
Special thanks to ARNie! and ZanyZapper for sending it in!
What an interesting little tweet from the voice actress behind Maud Pie, Ingred Nilson. With how much the show staff seem to love Maud based on the shoutouts she gets during their panels at the last few conventions, it wouldn't be surprising to see her play a larger role. I wonder what it will be though?
Thanks to Lance for the heads up!
Rainbow Power Maud Pie totally confirmed.
The Spitfire and Rainbow Dash Friends Forever comic releases pretty soon. We haven't got a whole lot of those two interacting outside of Wonderbolt Academy on a professional level. I wonder what we will see?
Anyway GET SOME ART!
Months ago we reported on a small science project in my neck of the woods here in Michigan around the Kalamazoo area where a young girl and her father put together a weather balloon! They launched that balloon (along with Rainbow Dash, her favorite toy) back in August and since then we've heard nothing about the fate of the project... until now!
After being missing for about two months the capsule was found in a farmer's field in Reading, Michigan and sent back to the family. The family got a bunch of awesome pictures of the upper atmosphere and Rainbow Dash had one heck of a ride, though I'm sure she is glad to be home.

Thanks to Robert and SleepySteve for the update.
Weather Balloon Makes It Home Safely
Hello again my pony friends! It's been a couple weeks since the last Stay Brony My Friends so that means it's time once again for a episode and a new charity to support. While this week's guest Georgia Ball had to cancel her interview due to family plans, the wonderful DrWolf filled in as a special guest!
As I mentioned before, we've got a new charity with this edition of Stay Brony My Friends, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. A very worthwhile cause as not only friends of mine have been in that dark hole, but I was myself earlier this week. Participate now for a chance to win a copy of M.A. Larson's new book as well!
Check out the full press release after the break for information on how to donate.

While it's not uncommon to see media outlets reporting on ponies the usual treatment of the subject amounts to a brief little article usually rehashing a lot of what has already been said. Every so often though you get a nice, thought provoking article that really digs into the subject and tries to approach things from an objective manner.
Don't let the name fool you, 'How My Little Pony Became a Cult for Grown Men and Preteen Girls Alike' explores the phenomenon of MLP with quite an objective lenses, highlighting why we like the show and what this pony business is all about. Weaving a very lovely narrative, the author manages to keep the reader engaged and even managed to keep me reading (and I've seen tons of these over the years).
It's worth a look and even has some quotes from Lauren Faust talking about the pre-production of the show, some of her early life, and well as some of her thoughts on her departure years ago. You can find a link to the article below.
Thanks to James and Sleepy Steve for the heads up.
Spitfire just looks great in uniform! Whether it be her outfit at the academy or her Wonderbolts gear she just looks really cool.
Morning guys! Sleep well? Hope you're all ready for some chatting.
