ApostropheShy has made some pretty great happy-feeling music recently and they've delivered again here with a happy hardcore remix of the smile song. As the name and the genre both suggest - this is a pretty upbeat and happy track, and it even has some really nice vocal chops too. I just love the section focused around them towards the end of the track.
Hard to believe that it's been a year since I stumbled across Little Brown's Surprise announcement at NYCC 2015 for a sequel to Under the Sparkling Sea. It seems like only yesterday that I was in New York City for New York Comic Con, when in reality I'm going to be there again in two days for the 2016 con. Amazing how time flies.
And time waits for no man, or pony and as the release date for The Dragons on Dazzle Island marches into the past this major MLP book release must eventually go with it. But no major book release is complete without an interview of the creative behind it. And I had the distinct pleasure to interview The Dragons on Dazzle Island Author and Illustrator Mary Jane (MJ) Begin.
After the break you'll find insight into MJ's creative process, what her thoughts were working on My Little Pony: The Art of Equestria, why you should call upon the seaponies when you're in distress, and the unused original title for The Dragon on Dazzle Island! If you're interested, check it out blow!
by ExplodingPonyToast&I's track Into The Green, featuring the vocals of Chi Chi, is one of his most iconic releases, carried strongly by the really memorable vocalwork and vocal chops. This remix by somewhat new artist ThisSideOfOblivion takes a more chilled out approach, with a steadily building atmosphere, and some really like piano and strings to top it off. Definitely worth a listen if you enjoyed the original.
Wow... turns out you are all PC gamers. I'm proud of you guys. I live on mine after all. Unfortunately this explains the 95% ad block rate.

A lot of people were confused at what exactly "Letters to the editor" is, and I realized that sort of thing doesn't really exist in the internet world that most of us have grown up in... including me! I had the definition wrong, and it was misleading. My bad.
"Letters to the editor" is now "Pony Community Soapbox". The rules are still the same, but this should clarify that you do not need to address us or articles we write in any way. This is simply a way for you to provide a mini editorial for people to read and hopefully react to.
All are welcome, express your opinions in 200 words or less and fire it off to submit! Get the exact rules for that over here. All opinions welcome
And below the break, the following topics from five different people. I think that will be our go-to number each week if we get enough. We can always increase it if a flood of good ones come in.
- Mares in the Equestrian Royal Guard
- Apple Bloom ascends to an Alicorn!?
- "Every Little Thing She Does" made me a Starlight Glimmer Fan
- It's a Cartoon, It's Not Meant to be Taken THAT Seriously!
- Why Sunset Outshines Starlight
About a week ago, we reported on TV listings coming out of the UK, showing the rest of the season all airing back-to-back early. Expecting something strange going on, we kept an eye on it to see if anything changed. We are now less than a week from the biggest episode bomb pony has ever gotten, and it's looking like this is how it's going to turn out.
One thing has changed though, the season finale is no longer the season finale. They have shifted the episode "Top Bolt" further back to the following Monday, probably to allow two back-to-back viewing days for the two-parter. I'll put the schedule below for anyone that wants to avoid spoilers on episode titles.
GalaCon 2017 will be held on July 29 and 30 2017 in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

When was the last time we posted anything at all Doctor Who related here? I really should catch up on the actual series some day. I'm not even sure where I left off unfortunately.
Below the break, ponified Doctor Who, SFM style! Go get it.
GROskAr has been releasing some pretty heavy dubstep tunes recently, whilst NextLevelDerp traditionally plays around with some of the more hardcore music genres, as well as some chill stuff like tech house. When you put them together though, it creates something a bit inbetween, with this banging UK hardcore track that builds up wonderfully to a fast-paced hardcore drop. This track is also the second of four Cider Party pre-release features building up to the release of the next Ponies at Dawn album, which will be launched with a radio release at 8pm UTC on October 7th over at PonyvilleFM. It's currently available for pre-order, and you can check out a 3-minute preview of the album here! So make sure to check those out, and as always check out the track below the break!
