    Really...? I mean, she is awesome, don't get me wrong,  but when did she become the BEST pony? Fluttershy doesn't even WANT attention.

    And how the hell did Doctor Whoof beat the Great and Powerful Trixie?

    I'm pretty disappointed guys, and so is Twilight Sparkle.  I hope you are all happy.  The poor girl has been crying her eyes out for a few hours now.   

    Also Lyra asked me to keep her and bonbon off the list.  Apparently they are tired of everyone butting in on their personal lives.  In fact, Bonbon broke up with Lyra around the middle of season 1 thanks to you.  It's rumored that they still see each other in secret, but they sure as hell don't live together anymore.

      Fluttershy is the best pony so the top result is good.

      However, Luna beating Rarity and Applejack is absurd. This is a character who has had one line and 15 seconds of screen time. Derpy has had more screen time than Luna.

      Here's a clarification of why Fluttershy won...

      It reminds some(ALL) of these bronies how they where in their childhood, shy, weak, emotive, hidden in their shell not thinking they'll ever get a date and trying to hide all the anger and frustations with a shy personality.

      There are a few other reasons but the one above is the one which counts the most

      I voted for Doctor Whooves. Let's face it, I'm an extreme case whony. Also, if he ever gets canon exposition debunking any similarities with the Doctor (like that he's just an ordinary pony who just checks that all clocks in Ponyville show the right time), there's a lot of whoverse trivia to let the fanon live on despite it.

      It was nice to see Pinkie ran from semi-last to second among the mane characters.

      It's somewhat amusing how Rainbow Dash was in second place through the whole thing, with Pinkie Pie trailing far behind, and then suddenly it was over, and Pinkie Pie was in second. Reminds me of how Dash would try to flee from Pinkie, only to have Pinkie beat her everywhere she went.

      But seriously though, all but 1604 of you (not counting my own vote) are terrible at choosing favorites, and you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

      Luna beat out the silly pony and Art of the Dress? Luna, the character who appeared for maybe a minute or two during the entire first season, and did nothing but cry in an incredibly annoying voice almost the entire time she was on the screen? I know her Mary Sue design and personality lends to some degree of popularity amongst you simple-minded foals, but did she really deserve to beat out two of the mane cast?

      I thought for sure Rarity would do quite well, considering I'd seen many long threads dedicated entirely to her, but her and Applejack both got practically nothing. While Luna of all characters claimed fifth place.

      Yes I mad. I very mad. Ponies are srs bsns. I don't care what any of the throngs of Luna fans have to say; she hasn't done a single thing to make me not dislike her.

      WARNING! LONG POST!

      I cannot tell you why Fluttershy won, but I can tell you why I voted for her. She was my fav pony ever since I first saw her in the first EP. She won my heart with her cuteness, but deep down I was afraid the writers will never do anything more with this character. Boy, was I wrong. So very wrong.

      First EP - FS is cute as hell and makes my heart melt, all is good;

      Second EP - Oh FS can tame a wild manticore, that's badass;

      Dragonshy - first time we see there's more to her than meets the eye, first time we hear Fluttershy raise her voice, and it is glorious;

      Then come the three very important episodes where she recieves a lot of character development, despide not being the main focus:
      Art of the dress - her rant shows that when pressed enough she can be mean even to her friends;

      Feeling Pinkie keen - three words: "Hop, Skip and a jump";

      Sonic rainboom - first time we see FS taking advice from one of her friends and trying to act more assertive, by the end of the ep she behaves like a maniac;

      The Staremaster - Fluttershy's status as a supreme badass is set in stone for eternity as she stares down a FUCKING COCKATRICE;

      Green isn't your color - some of you may think she's acting shy in this ep, but she really isn't. I can't really pictue a shy person going for a weekly spa treatment, where strangers are paid to touch your body. All things she does in this ep are aimed at making Rarity happy, which means FS can overcome her shyness to help her friends, even when their lives aren't endangered. Also don't forget her miniscule outburts of rage.

      Over a barrel - this may seem unimportant to you ,but notice how Fluttershy doesn't seem to act shy anymore, she even actively participates in a discussion with Braeburn.

      A bird in the hoof - She is the only pony who doesn't lose her cool in the presence of Celestia. At the end of the episode she willingly admits to her wrongdoings and accepts possible consequences. It's also the second time when one of her friends urges her to act more assertive: "You can't be such a push-over, Fluttershy".

      Best Night Ever - "I just have to be more bold, just like Twilight said". The rest is history.

      TL;DR - After the Startemaster Fluttershy isn't truly shy anymore. She still dislikes being in the spotlight, and still often takes an apologetic stance, but she is far from the shy moeblob we saw in the first episode.

      I voted for Pinkie Pie. She has strange and scary powers. Fluttershy is my third favourite after Twilight. Then Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Applejack in that order.

      Also, I would think Twilight would be more of a fan of Doctor Whoof than Trixie seeing as Twilight is a nerd and all.

      I am happy fluttershy won. She is a sweet fun nuetral pony. Though they ALL are my favorites. I was getting a little sick of rainbow dash taking the lead everywhere, almost everything I see is rainbow dash fandom. I was honestly under the impression she was always going to be number one no matter what, especially after the sonic rainboom, where rarity looked like a jerk, and Dash was epic. I assumed since dash had SUCH a huge fanbase, and Rarity already so low, that her taking Dash's limelight in the episode was more then enough for people to flat out dislike rarity all together and praise Dash even more. I honestly love them all! Fluttershy is adorable, I admire Twillight Sparkle, I wish I could be as happy or energetic as Pinkie Pie, or as tough as Apple Jack, or as Cool as Rainbow Dash, and countless other ponies. I would't say Rarity is my favorite, I just know I have her personality to a T. So I see in her the flaws I dislike in myself, and the advantages of her personality too. n_~ dont get me wrong. But I was really convinced Rainbow Dash would Rein supreme forever. It sure seemed to look that way everywhere I went. So I was very surprised by Fluttershy. I guess they just pictured judging the ponies face to face. I would'nt really want to make any of them sad.
