      A few days after S2 Ep1 aired, someone on FA released some Flash videos of the ponies dancing based on Discord's Dance. Well apparently not everypony took this so well and started raging over the unwarned FA links.

      #2 Hah! Dat trickster Luna. I was kinda expecting a Thriller type motion of some sort a couple times in this comic. Especially when they surrounded Celestia and Luna. lol Nice comic.

      #1 was reasonably amusing, but the artist has done better comics.

      #2 was terrific, though, great use of Zecora's Nightmare Night story in the captions. Clever posters in the second panel, too. Though I wish Luna had said 'Gotcha' between the last two panels...

      it's not so much that, it's more that I don't want to be associated with them, we have enough problems with our fandom's reputations as is, the last thing we need is to be tied to FA.

      also the fact is a segment of the furry fandom sort of uses it as excuse to draw the most screwed up porn around, again don't want to be tied to that.

      There's a reason they only show 4 of the mane six. It's explained in the description. It's because Twilight and Rainbow weren't afraid of Luna so their memories weren't wiped.

      Also, J and K are the names (initials) of the Men in Black characters, are they not?

      The reputation of FA, and of furry fandom as a whole, is pretty badly overblown, which really shouldn't come as a surprise to us. Overblown or not, though, it's still not a reputation we'd want associated with our own fandom.

      That said, if anyone thinks that occasionally linking to MLP-specific content on FA will cause bronies to be associated with furry fandom, they're way overreacting.

      Now yes, there are a few screwed up ones, but the we all dont associate with them. It's like creepy old Uncle Frank at the family reunion. No one talks to him or about him and wishing he wasn't there, but people outside the family always get to meet him first and then run away screaming.

      Furries are the best friends I have ever had, such cartoonists, its amazing! One of them drew Balto on a snow mountain, looked way better than what Disney could ever do. But does anyone see it? No, because they are frightened away by Uncle Frank.

      So please, Mojo, just as YOU dont want to be associated with Uncle Frank, dont associate US (the cartoonists, the costume designers, the musicians, the story writers) with him either. It truly sickens me to the core to hear such bashing.....

      actually we are currently only slightly above the Sonic Fandom in general internet hatred toward us.

      though in our case it's more about us being everywhere and people being convinced that something like having a pony avatar on *INSERT FORUM HERE* is pushing the show on them, rather than the immense amount of things the sonic fandom is known and hated for (some of which are present in ours but far more contained)

      and im not saying be a douchebag im saying when someone insults the fandom or show or whatever just leave them be and don't complain about them doing so, don't talk about how our fandom is "persecuted" people don't like stuff they perceive as whiny.

      I didn't insulting him for having an internet life, I have one too I insulted him for basically saying that his best friends are internet fandom friends (which was actually an assumption on my part, he just said they were part of the furry fandom too) I find that idea to be quite sad.

      Sounds like being a doucher to me. The fandom is about being warm and accepting, which kinda flies right in your plan's face.

      Also, what the hell's wrong with your best friends being people you met on the Internet? One of my best friends is a Scottish lady, and I'm American. I met her over the Internet. I really don't see the problem.

      I used to be afraid bronies will be associated with furries. I was an idiot. And so are most of here.

      There doesn't have to be any ACTUAL connections between us and them. It's just to obvious anyway. Too easy to make. Even if we had absolutely nothing to do with furries, we're fans of a cartoon full of animals. We'd be called furries by haters no matter what.

      And about the word "furry." The people you say are furries yet are nice people? Get a random, average person and ask him to define furry. By that I mean visualize it. By now, the majority thinks furries are creepy fucks. No one can change that anymore. Best to do is to stop calling the sane guys furries. I always thought giving a name to a fandom was kinda obnoxious anyway. Just call them "fans of cartoon anthro animals" or something.

      Same for "brony." No one likes bronies outside the fandom. No kidding, everyone hates us. They really think the word "brony" means unemployed fatasses who fap to and obsess over a crappy ass little girls' show. Also gay pedophile furries. What I mean is, we shouldn't call ourselves bronies anymore. That word, just like "furries," is tainted by haters. It now defines something it wasn't supposed to.

      After reading through all of this I'm not surprised at all that someone freaked out about the link to FA. The instant I saw where it went I knew something was going to happen.
      If I strip the argument it boils down to this.

      Option 1: Stand by being good people and accept everyone for who they are.
      Option 2: Segregate our community and exclude others that might give us a bad reputation.

      The first option is the more optimistic peace on earth route. The second one is self-serving and more about self preservation. When I look at it that way, I'd be more willing to be associated with furries and called a freak then to be some asshole who wants to play favorites. Our planet is too full of people who judge others, at least here I can try and break the mold. Whether or not others join me, I cannot really control.

      You start by saying you're not a furry.

      Because, tell me the public image of furries. That's a furry. Furries are not simply fans of anthro. That image goes with the word and you can't separate it.

      Say you're... okay I don't know if this is a good example but,

      Say you're a math geek but you're still very social and popular. See what I did there? Being smart doesn't mean you don't have friends. But the image just follows anyway, and it has to be specifically mentioned.

      So you HAVE to say you're a brony, but you have a life and you're married and you don't obsess over playing with pony dolls or something like that, yknow. (unless the person never heard what a brony is, in which case you shut up and don't put in their heads unnecessary images they don't have yet, but that's off topic. Go look for how to deal with the media.)

      Anyway, yknow what I'm talking about? I know the public image of furries is wrong, but that's only me. Everyone else believes that.

      And honestly, linking to FA didn't hurt our image at all. If anything, we may have drew attention to it. But anyway, I'm talking about this since the subject is out, and I want to talk about our stance to the furry fandom.

      We should both drop the fandom name. Why the hell does a fandom need a name anyway?! especially when they're both derogatory terms by now.

      I get what you are saying, but everything needs a name, to identify what something is when talking to other people. You could might as well be talking about music genres, why do they need names? Because when I'm asked by someone what kind of music I like, I'd have nothing to say except, "That one kinda music, but I hate that other stuff, except for this, it kinda sounds like that other but different."

      It's not the name that is what's the problem, I think it is what people have done to it, either screwed up ones in the fandom or the ones outside of it; which really saddens me.

      I think if we didnt have a name, the media would just say "those guys who like MLP," instead of "bronies."
