• PMV: Anime Intro Edition!

I went through a pretty big anime phase a while back. I still check it out every once in a while.

This first one definitely looks like it would work for a Japanese release of the show, and kind of makes me want a side FiM series with a continuous adventure plot or something. One can dream I suppose.

No clue what the second one is, but maybe some of you do!

1.) What if MLP:Friendship is Magic was an anime...
    2.) Trust Me Ponies!

    1. They should use an opening like this in the second season. =)

    2. is that Durarara I see?

    3. That anime intro is exactly what I imagined an MLP:FiM anime intro would be like!!!

though I had Sorairo Days as the music playing x3.

      Colors could've worked too.

    4. Not enough. These kinds of openings usually have a completely out of place love song. Still cool, though.

    5. Just according to keikaku.

      (Translator's note: keikaku means pony)

    6. I usually hate anime openings, but I actually quite like this one.

And no I'm not being biased just because it's ponies.

    7. (Also, yeah, The second one's Durarara's Ending theme. Which, by the way, is AWESOME)

    8. The anime intro was AWESOME. I agree the second season should definately have an opening like that. Maybe its time to pester hasbro and the MLP team . . . . lol

    9. Although I liked the anime opening, truth be told, I would prefer a short opening for the series (up to a minute)

I always hate how anime intros are so long...

    10. No... Please don't ruin the best show in the world with anime...

      ReplyDelete
    11. I thought the first one was a hilarious parody of how ridiculous anime intros are. At least, I hope it was a parody and nobody actually thinks this would be a good idea.

      ReplyDelete
    12. So animu.
I just realized how fucking cliché it was.

      ReplyDelete
    13. I think that first intro was from Yu-Gi-Oh...

      Also, I liked both videos.

    14. This post got me thinking...I wonder if there are any (native) Japanese bronies?

I bet there are at least a few, and if so, the world has truly gone mad. Japanese people obsessing over one of AMERICA'S cartoons? FAUST, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!?!?

      ReplyDelete
    15. I think something like the second video with scrolling images of the ponies would work well for a new closing credits sequence rather then the plain black background.

Yeah, there are. Lots of them. Search Pixiv for マイリトルポニー

    17. looks like someone took my idea of durarara ending and i have to say thank you for doing it :)

    18. Related: Cliche Anime openings! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibPCLMH1NM4 Can you name them all?

Okay, this should be pretty awesome!

      **searches Pixiv for マイリトルポニー**

**sees a picture with the words "My Little Loli" on the first page**

      o_0 dude, what?

I REITERATE...FAUST, WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE?!?!?!?!

      ReplyDelete
    20. That was awesome.

Also, the second one would make a good closing if MLP was an anime/for the Japanese release.

      ReplyDelete
    21. The anime opening seems more fitting for a generic action-packed shonen show than a slice of life.

      ReplyDelete
    22. *searches pixiv* Now I really want a MLP anime. They made a Powerpuff Girls Z, so there is enough love for Faust by some studio.

      ReplyDelete
    23. Did anyone else notice the symbol on Twilight's sword hilt on the picture at the top of the post? I don't know what the picture is based off of, but it strikes me as HIGHLY inapropriate.

      ReplyDelete
    24. It should be more of a slice of life anime opening. But still cool

      ReplyDelete
    25. *pixiv search*

      It's...it's...

It's just like ponibooru, but without all the stupid memes.

      ReplyDelete
    26. @Anonymous
If you are talking about the thing that looks like a swastika, there is actually a left facing version of the symbol that literally means love and mercy. Kinda ironic :P

    27. @Anonymous

This. I could not have said it better.

      ReplyDelete
    28. Clearly you have yet to find a good anime. "I don't know what the picture is based off of" It's Bleach btw.

Honestly, I think it would be redundant. I mean, most of the people I know who watch FiM originally watched it because of how anime like it was.

      ReplyDelete
    29. @Anonymous

Dude, chillax. It's not supposed to be a Nazi swastika. Y'see, it's...well it's an ancient symbol for...and in Japan it's...*siiiigh*

Just search Wikipedia for Swastika, please.

      ReplyDelete
    30. Japan WISHES they could make something this awesome.

And seriously, the swastika started out as a good luck charm, but was then adapted by the Nazis as their symbol. However, on the ancient swastika, the arms are reversed.

And FYI, its BLEACH. It's not SUPPOSED to make sense

      ReplyDelete
    31. Wow those were... really good, much better than I expected them to be.

      ReplyDelete
    32. @Anonymous

Yeah I know that the swastika was originally a good luck symbol and used extensively in eastern religions. Didn't realise it was so big in Japan though.

However, in the west at least since its miappropriation by the Nazis it has been turned into a weapon and symbol of hate and it won't be forgotten for a very, very long time. Whatever it was before is almost irelevant now. Seeing it there just makes my skin crawl.
Also ancient swastikas were both ways round.

    35. That was way to accurate to be an anime opening. It needs scenes that never show up, fights that never occur or if they do don't show what happened, or it could just go for random showings of the characters showing off their talents in a way not related to the season.

      ReplyDelete
    36. Would one of y'all do this with Magia?

      Please?

      ReplyDelete
    37. Gotta agree with the Anon. who mentioned the scrolling end as opposed to a black screen ending- idea.
Liked the intro, though I alway's thought something more like Ojamajo Doremi's 3rd or 4th op's would work better,(though this still rocked) course I'd kill for one using the OOO's theme "Anything Goes".

      ReplyDelete
    38. the first one was pretty cool. i liked it and the second would make a decent ending theme.

      ReplyDelete
    39. Am I the only one who wants to see somethin akin to the first set to EbB's 'Luna'?

      ReplyDelete
    40. ... I'm surprised that there's anime fans in this community o . o

      @Star Whistle
Magia? You mean by Kalafina? And Puella Magi Madoka Magica's ending?
      Now that's tricky

      @Fallin' Winter
      Imagine Pinkie going 'DESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESU'

      ...
      I love em'
      Both of em'

    41. I just can't wait until It gets a Japanese dub, and then some english subtitles.

Trust me, somepony will do it...

      ReplyDelete
    42. The 2nd one definitely feels like an ending credits video for the series. :)
