though really, that Dash model looked kinda weird. Completely unexpressive. I hope they improve that. Spike looked great though.
Also they should put Dash on a better character. I know Pit's model is simple, but it'd be nice to see these models on a character worth using

Remember, if your modding it to this stage, tiers really don't matter because you should be able to download one of those Brawl Balance patches like Brawl + or - or something similar. You don't have to worry about Metaknight winning 8 times out of 10.

Lots of people mod textures and models without changing balance. Project M and Brawl + are kind if different than "balance" fixes though...

Hahahaha, Olimar's running animation is a perfect fit for Spike.
The Brawl modding scene has had this level of ability since before ponies were even a thing. I'm surprised it took this long.

Pinkie Pie drops an anvil on Metaknight and knocks Jigglypuff into five years from friday. And all the other combatants stop their fighting and proclaim Pinkie the hero of smash.
@Dantes_Grill: Only spike is out right now. Rainbow Dash isn't complete because she's gonna get her own moves and animations, as are the other mane 6.
When Xiggah releases the full package he'll make an easy version for people who haven't/won't/can't softmod their Wii, but if you want to play Spike now, there are tutorials out there to get Brawl hacks working.

Ya I know, but it's the first time I ever got it. For the record I'm on my phone and had to sign in.
I suppose this will be a good outlet for people to do their "RD vs Sonic" things...

Lol I was talking directly with the person who brought this into Brawl just a week ago on Steam. We're both working on similar projects, though mine will be finished later since I have to do a complete rigging of the characters before bringing them into short animations plus Cryengine 3 :p
I find myself imagining Luna/NMM as Zelda/Sheikh, Pinkie as Kirby, and Applejack as Captain Falcon.
All I can say is "do want."
That's pretty awesome, I've spend mindless hours with my friends destroying them in this game, it would be all the more sweet if I was kicking their ass with Rainbow Dash!
Whenever I played, whoever had Pit always won( except for me cause I sucked) So Rainbow Dash is going to kick ass!

I figured Dash would be more suited to Sonic, Meta Knight, or maybe Sheik/Zelda. Pit I'd see more as Fluttershy. Pit's final smash isn't suited to Dash, and neither are most of the moves. I could see Sonic's transformation be like Dash transforming into a Wonderbolt, Sheik's light arrow as a rainboom, and Meta Knights as the same thing.

Alright, just so y'all know, work on Dash is FAR from finished. Animations still need to be made, moveset modding will be done, and general glitchiness will be removed.
That said, I cannot freaking wait for this to happen
So, do either of these two have PSAs yet, or are they both just models?

I guess the day has finally come when I play brawl's campaign as Olimar.
Hopefully some of Spike's awesomeness seeps through the character model.
Now if they could change the voices and maybe change the Pikman skins to something more... Spike-ish? Parasprites maybe?
And a pony map mod would amuse me so. Perhaps with something of a medley of pony music in the background, I'd have fun fighting to Avast Fluttershy's Ass. Double the fun if the video played in the background...
@Mike To be honest, I don't like the proportions either. Pit's animations aren't meant for Rainbow Dash. These characters will have their own attacks and animations and voices, but for now they're just using other character's moves.
Fighting IS magic :)
I haven't been active in the Smash community for a long time, but as some of the people I know have said, you can never leave Smash.

the amount of effort it would take to make a MLP all star cast would require programming skills equal to that of the guys who made this game in order to make it look even half good...so i can safely say:

I probably wouldn't end up using these in a tournament, since big texture changes usually throw players off. I totally love the Spike, though! I'll have to snag that one once I have my own Wii. It might just give me a reason to finally pick up Oli, rofl

Someone needs to find a way to make the Pikmin into little gems with legs that spike digs up or something.
Also, will there be voice acting, or voice snippets taken from the show?
Now, as for the other characters...
Twilight needs to be Zelda, I'd think. There aren't many characters that use magic, so Zelda is the best one I guess... I'm not sure what you'd use for her 'Transform' move, though... Maybe she'd transform into Mare-do-Well?
Rarity should probably be Lucas or Ness... their abilities are the closest to magic aside from Zelda, so I guess that would fit her best.
Applejack needs to be someone tough and strong. I'd probably say Captain Falcon, though I don't know if she should be faster than Dash... eh... But he's definitely tough enough...
Fluttershy should be Jigglypuff. She's not a very hard hitter, and she can do the floaty jump thing like flight. Also, she can sing 'hush now, quiet now' for the sing attack.
Pinkie Pie... Pinkie is hard... Pinkie needs to be someone enigmatic. Sonic is hyper enough and has some interesting moves, but I'm not sure he fits well enough... Peach kinda fits too, though, with the random weapons pulled out of her bum and just all around silly fighting style...
I guess Pinkie should be Peach, if only so the 'Toad' move can be replaced with Gummy.
And also, you have GOT to find a way to replace Master Hand with Nightmare Moon. That would just be TOO epic!
To anyone wondering they characters will have their own movesets eventually and they can technically replace any character you want
