This right here is how you recolor a pony! Lets do it Hasbro! I'll even advertise them here for you.
If you are interested in making your own, the Twilight Sparkle toy in the 5 pack is probably what you want to mold it from. Photo finish is actually a recolor of Twilight in the show too, so it works out nicely!
Anyway, you can find the artists DA page here!
[Sad] This is the rarest of rare fan fictions: the one that not only grabs your attention while you're reading it, but keeps it after it's over. -Pre-reader #15
I'm still stumped on what image to use for these human in equestria stories. Have some dash.

A talented young fashionista going by the name of ComparativeRarity has created a line of bracelets and necklaces that invoke everypony's six favorite embodiments of friendship. They came out looking very pretty, don't you think? She's apparently looking into starting an etsy store, so any of you out there who are man enough to be seen wearing colorful jewelry should definitely keep an eye out! Just think of how much Rainbow Dash would respect you for wearing a pendant designed around her! In all seriousness, this is pretty neat stuff, and worth your time to check out.
The craftspony is also looking for suggestions on non-mane cast members to design jewelry for, so if you've got any suggestions (hint: say Lyra), then you should drop her a line and help out. But for now, check out all of the original line over on her DeviantArt page:

There are some really good tracks on this one, and it's all inspired by Lyra/Octavia.
Considering the fact that Lyra is the best pony, that instantly makes the entire album a hit.

I believe that there are a limitless number of Twilight Sparkle looking cute while reading. Do you know why that is, fillies and colts? Because you keep writing stories! Yes, in order to keep Ms. Sparkle here supplied with new words to tease and tickle the tip of her tongue, it's our job as a creative community to keep on printing them. A well read pony is a happy pony.
With that in mind, a couple of bronies have set into motion some very ambitious creative projects. What are those, you ask? Collaborative story telling projects! If you've ever wanted to get in on the creation of a massive overarching plot but didn't feel you had the time or energy to do it all yourself, then this is your chance. We've got ponies writing in two exciting flavors. Why not check them out and see if they're for you?

It looks like the main thing holding it back is the fact that the songs are only licensed for the actual show, not for a side soundtrack.
The only way Hasbro can go ahead with it, would be to re-record every single track, or drop a pretty large chunk of money on buyouts.
If you want to read up on the discussion, you can find it all here!
MLP Arena! Looks like the "Fashion Style" has released Twilight Sparkle, as well as a set of both Luna and Celestia in one box.
Unfortunately, Celestia remains pink. A sad fate indeed for our supreme solar overlord.
That's two Luna toys now. I have a feeling she will be playing a pretty big role in season two, perhaps even joining the mane cast.
You can find more images after the break.
Thanks to Sheldon for the heads up!
I know this is late. I know Seth usually does these. I know some of you guys have already made entries in anticipation of it. What can I say? Sometimes life gets in the way. It's easy to make a post with some rules in it and say, "go!" but it's a lot more difficult to make sure that the next week is going to be free enough for me to corral all the entries.
Read: Cereal's a lazy, lazy pony! The Friendoff starts now!
I had brandied about the idea of reversing the rules for this Friendoff- writers draw and artists write. But let's be honest; that would probably end in disaster. Plus, some ponies have the ability to do both. Also, it would require that I draw a pony, which I'm awful at. As a result, I've decided to keep this Friendoff pure, in the spirit of the originals. If you like a story, draw a picture for it! If you have a picture that you really like, write a story around it! Simple as that.
This is the kind of stuff I'll need from you guys in your email. If it doesn't follow this format, I'm tossing it. I'm expecting a lot of entries. Try to make this easier on me!
If You're Writing
1) The link to the picture you've based your story on. Include the artist's name. If you don't know it, find out. Ask around.
2) Your story. No attached Word documents, please. Include either a Google Docs, DeviantArt, or FF.net link.
2 ½) Include a story tag, like [Normal] or [Sad]. No descriptions or additional tags for these. The picture should be all the description your reader needs!
3) The name that you wish to be credited by.
4) Put the word STORY in the subject line.
If You're Drawing
1) The link to the story your drawing is based on. Include the author's name.
2) Your drawing. You can either attach it in the email or host it externally.
3) The name that you wish to be credited by.
4) Put the word ART in the subject line.
The Friendoff will run until Thursday night, June 9th, at 11:55PM CST. For reference, this is 9:55PM blog time.
Send your entries to CerealVelocity@equestriadaily.com! If you've already sent one in previously, resend it!
Go go go!

This community never ceases to amaze me.
Have you ever been browsing a thread on Ponychan and went, "wow! I really like all the images in this thread! I wish I had a script that I could point the board moniker and thread ID to and have it download all of the images in the thread for me, with built-in duplicate image protection and automatic file extension checking!"
Well, for one, that's a very specific thing you just thought to yourself. Second, such a thing now exists.
It comes in Windows, OS X, and Linux flavors.

You can find a quick quote on what Laughter Day is all about after the break!
Day 10, you guys, Day 10! We actually hit double digits! Today was a bit of a learning process for me. As somepony pointed out in their submission comment, he and I both fail at math. It turns out two times the pony is two times the work, and I really failed to consider the impact that would have on your time to draw. So I learned (dear Princess Celestia) that doubling the required number of ponies while simultaneously pushing the theme in as selfish a direction as I can possibly manage, I will get more or less exactly what I want, but at the cost of about half of the usual number of participants. Let's not mince words, 162 stellar entries is amazing and every last one of you should feel proud. But that is a bit of a smaller number, and I can't help but feel like I did push you a bit too hard. I'm learning. I think you'll find tonight's theme a lot of fun, though! edit: as the minutes ticked closer to the deadline, these words were made to seem dumber and dumber. Well done, everypony.
You're probably getting bored of hearing this by now, but just in case we've picked up any stragglers, here are the submission guidelines. As always, if you have a problem with the submission program please just go ahead and send your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org and leave the rest to me. Also feel free to shoot me an e-mail if there's a question you need answered, and I'll do my best to get back to you as quickly as I can.
The Theme of the Day
Draw a pony dressed as a character from another show, game, or story, or draw that character as a pony. Which sounds like a mouthful, but really it's just me trying to be unambiguous. This is a hugely open topic; I'm looking forward to seeing what your favorite non-pony media is! Mine's Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. What? I'm learning stuff about you, it's only fair!
