Long ago, when Chrysalis was but a tiny, menacing foal, she developed the peculiar habit of biting everypony within range—my sister and I included. She claimed it was simply a "love taste-test," but personally, I suspect she enjoyed our startled reactions far more than any affection gained. Celestia still complains about a certain scar on her flank, though between us, I think it makes for an amusing story.
She never really grew out of it either...
