Looks like Sibsy was right- there is going to be a gap between this two-parter with Discord and the rest of season two. How big of a gap is uncertain at this point, but if we survived the entire summer without new pony, I'm sure we can manage a month or two with only this so-far fabulous two-parter to hold us over.
/knock on wood
Thanks to Micheal for the heads up!

This IS what happened with the first season, if you remember. I was actually expecting this and saw it in the schedule as well.
ReplyDelete@AnonymooseThe absurd, hopeless optimist in me imagines them saying, "Hey, sorry guys, but we're behind a few weeks because we put together these really awesome behind-the-scenes specials for the upcoming Season One Blu-Ray collection."
ReplyDeleteYeah, I can dream, right?
I don't get it. can somepony tell me what the hay is going on?
ReplyDeleteNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUU
ReplyDeletefirst Wakfu, later thundercats(reboot) NOW FiM

FUCK YOU CELESTIA ;______;
@Lite Sparkle
ReplyDeleteReturn of Harmony Part 2 is showing THIS WEEKEND. Next Weekend, they are re-showing Return of Harmony Part 1 instead of the expected 3rd Episode of Season 2. We don't know when the 3rd Episode is going to air, the prediction is October 15th. We need to wait for further details before we know what is going on.
@Jv9ufxcy
ReplyDeleteThat's episode 2, this is saying there will be a gap after episode 2, before episode 3.
Boo. ;_;
ReplyDelete@Killsteal_Wolf
ReplyDeleteOk, thanks for the explanation, it's much clearer now!
FFFFUUUUU!!!
ReplyDelete@Alex
ReplyDeleteAnd this my good sir is why I don't comment on anything these days. Whenever I get the Fluttercourage to fucking say anything I get reminded why I prefer doing this as Anonymous so I don't have to keep my name in check regarding my opinion, so thanks for that guise (Not suggesting the reintroduction of anon commenting btw). I'll remember not to voice my mind next time kk? I doubt I even have to skim the comments of this post to find nubcakes voicing the opinion of how blah blah blah fuck hasbro blah blah blah whatever... It's great that I must be considered under that same category of an over obsessed fanboy who only cares about watching ponies for some strange reason. Whatever.
Just throwing this out there, I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't like being told lies. Perhaps that's just me.
As I mentioned in one of my other posts, I'm pretty sure we were ready to wait until, what, DECEMBER or some bullshit for ponies? As 'outrageous' of an airdate that would have been (Fanfiction would keep ME going so whether or not it's outrageous is up to YOU), it's what we were prepared for, and we would just have to deal with it. However by stating that Season 2 is starting in SEPTEMBER -- We all reset the bar... Too bad they seem to be failing to deliver; are they not?
All I'm saying is that if they weren't ready to release the ponies then they should have waited until that time before doing such. Nothing more. Between the original post and all the comments I don't really know what the fuck is going on, nor do I care to waste my time figuring it out. A two week break? Wure, shynot. But over a month? Well, -- wait... I'm not supposed to care about it. Infact, I'm supposed to be grateful and worship Hasbro for just letting us have this glimpse into season 2. Yeah, whatever...
I'm more raeg at wasting my time responding to these comments than the actual subject matter at hand - which I'm barely raeg at in the first place to be perfectly honest.
Now I think I'm going to pull off a Twilight Sparkle and hide in my equivalent of a Tree Library until I feel I can't keep my comments of how fucked up the rest of the world is to myself. Also, remind me that if I ever create a fanfic, to never release it to the public.
---
On the topic of fail nubcake comments though, I lol at how no one realized what the hell the OP is talking about @ break between episode 2 and 3, not 1 and 2. HERPDERP. Might want to change the OP to reflect that even though more than enough posts have already suggested doing just that with no change. whatever lololololl raegquit.
@StarGater93
ReplyDeleteBTW - I'll lol if everyone disregards my wall of text and just go "LOL GET OVER IT LOL"
@StarGater93
ReplyDeleteYour initial response was immature and deserved belittlement. Your latest comment is more justified. That said, nobody knows entirely what is happening now, so freaking out and feeling like Hasbro's bitch-slapped you personally in the face is in no way productive. You can be sure that if there is a delay on the episodes, it's not because Hasbro or The Hub have decided, "You know what? We hate the pony fans and want to spite them."
There will be a reason for the delay. Perhaps they are obliged by contract not to air them until a certain date? You feel let down because you want more episodes now. Perhaps a more positive outlook that will give you comfort will be that when the episodes do eventually air, they will last longer than if they aired ASAP. Prolonging the experience will be good in the long-run.

ReplyDeleteGuess I'll just watch the two new episodes
ReplyDeleteover
and over
and over
and over
I suppose I can accept this if they need the time to make sure they're ready/get time off/whatever.
ReplyDeleteJust as long as they don't pull what ABC did with the new V. Play 4 episodes then put it on hold for 4 months.
ReplyDeleteSeems to be lots of confusion, even... -discord- amongst us *sorry had to do it >>*
ReplyDeleteReturn of Harmony is on schedule, and it seems that after that is delayed. Since the original airing of season two was supposed to be later in the fall anyway, it makes sense that the early release is offset by a delay to get things back on track.
I'd be a little suprised if those that knew what was going on with the delay didn't make some sort of statement on why it's being delayed, and very suprised if such a statement were made but brony's failed to find it. Brony's are -good- when it comes to finding little details.
We'll just have to trust that the delay is with the right intentions, and ultimately is the best thing for the show. What's the purpose of love and tolerancee without, I rhetorically ask you fellow bronies, if we can't turn that back inwards to our wellfount as well, when it doesn't meet every whim of ours?
We'll make it through this, simple as that.
Keep your eyes open for an official statement or something, anything that'll help clear the confusion and give us some concrete facts to console our more distressed bronies.
For the record, the series has had week gaps before. There was a 12 day gap between Mare in the Moon and Elements of Harmony (Otherwise known as Friendship is Magic Parts 1 and 2). A 2 Week Gap Between Winter Wrap Up and Call of the Cutie, Then a 3 Week Gap between Call of the Cutie and Fall Weather Friends. Then a 1 Week Gap between Over a Barrel and A Bird in the Hoof.
ReplyDeleteAnd as said, wait for a specific statement.
Direct TV is telling me part 2 is airing twice on Saturday...sooooo what's going on?
ReplyDeleteBefore any more ponies post to the general sentiment of "What's going on?" please read over the comments already here.
ReplyDeleteSeason 2, episode 2 is to airing on time.
Season 2, episode 3 is to be delayed for an uncertain amount of time, with general pony consensus being a delay of 2 weeks to a month.
To that effect, the TV's will be repeating episodes in the meantime, until the further episodes are released.
Hrrmmm... Annoying, as I'd become used to waiting and S2's start got me back into regular pony mode, but I can deal I guess. I just hope it's not 1-2 months like you theorised :/
ReplyDeleteWell, considering that I thought season two wouldn't even start until December, I think I can survive.
ReplyDelete@StarGater93
ReplyDeleteChildren are usually off doing other things instead of staring at a computer screen waiting for more episodes of a show, or watching a different show in the meantime if they're not the outdoors type.
Hasbro is toy company that aims at children first and foremost, why is this so hard to understand. I doubt they're thinking to themselves "Gee, how can we make StarGater93's day worse? I know lets take Episode 3 of Season 2 and push a month later."
I'm still seeing it as they pushed the first two episodes early, and you have to understand that there's so many variables that could lead to holding off on airing an episode on schedule. Remember, they're only human just like us.
You can continue to be immature and inform the internet of your anger at an episode of a children's cartoon not airing when you'd like though it to though, but I'm going to do something more productive.
Show ponies back 2 back, show only 1 episode...
ReplyDeleteI blame Discord!
*spits out monster**loses monicle*
ReplyDelete(insert rage filled comment saturated with profanity)
[spike]NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO[/spike]
ReplyDeleteIf you aren't re-watching every episode at LEAST three or four times anyway then you aren't a real fan. *AHEM*
ReplyDeleteReally, this was exactly what I've been saying would happen. I mean hell, they're still working on some episodes, and if the process is as hectic as we've all heard it was on season 1, then they could be working on as many as EVERY episode at the same time. Getting them all out in order on schedule is the least of my concerns, I'd rather they took their time and focused on putting out the quality work we've grown to love and expect from MLP.And the longer it takes for all episodes of season 2 to be get aired, the more time we'll have before it's over and are left waiting for season 3.
@Bibo
ReplyDeleteMy my my, SOMEPONY'S being a condescending jerk.
I'm not bothered by the delay, but I'm pretty sure most of the poeple here are using something called hyperbole. Look it up.
Can't say I'm honestly surprised. Considering these episodes were originally animated towards the end of season one. That and Season 1 started around October. For everyone spazzing calm down. There's plenty to do before that date. And Alex does have a point people need to stop crying when they don't get their way all the time. It's only a few weeks not months you will all survive.
ReplyDeleteinsert spike saying Noooooooooooooooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteHm. I did think it was odd that it has only been 3 months since the first season ended.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought this meant episode 2 was delayed xD
A bit disappointing, but understandable, I suppose.
Not sure how you can even get a schedule that's two weeks ahead. For Dish Network, it's a max of 8 days ahead, and quite often faulty. I certainly wouldn't give up hope yet! ;)
ReplyDeletePretty good chance that it's a flaw in the schedule with whatever network provider you have. If not, well, we should all be willing to wait. Quality over quantity!
I look forward to Part 2 on saturday, and episode 3 afterwards, whenever that is. I'm happy to wait. Thanks for the heads-up, though.
ReplyDeleteMisleading picture is Misleading
ReplyDeleteTo the people 'schooling' those that are 'over reacting'- I think someone pointed this out, but seriously, it's the internet, hyperbole much? Stop acting like prim chaperones, acting like a baby on the internet is one thing, but acting like you have the right to correct everyone is another, and it comes across as creepy and annoying, stop it, go be a mall security guard if you want to yell at harmless stuff.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I'm a little confused with how they are working the seasons. Generally most shows have their stuff together before the seasons come out. It's seems as if HUB or hasbro has their hands in too many pots, I think pound puppies is also facing troubles.
I really wish they would take their adult fans seriously, considering I think we outnumber the younger fans (especially since the show comes on at like 6 or 7 in the morning... damn).
Perhaps they don't even care too much about the show, since they are a TOY company first anyways.
@monkeyshine89 When people are acting like it's the end of the world I do think they're justified in saying calm down and think for a moment but correcting people on the internet considered creepy that's new...
ReplyDeleteBut Like I said earlier this is probably due to these two episodes being completed last year along with the season 1 episodes as it was stated many times over. And considering that season one originally aired in October this shouldn't be a surprise if people did some thinking about.
@frybrain
ReplyDeleteAs has been pointed out a billion times, this post is regarding Episode 3 not airing the week after part 2 of Discord airs.
I just hope they keep airing the new episodes on saturdays
ReplyDeleteLol no more anon comments?
ReplyDelete@MudPuppy
ReplyDeleteDirecTV can see 12 days ahead, and it's never steered me wrong before. Though this is a case where I would be happy if it did. I'm keeping watch for Episode 3, so if it does change I'll let everyone know.
Wait wait wait.....I have Season 2 Episode 2 on record right now?!? It even says PART 2!!!
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow I have to go back to reading fan-fiction and watching FMA to get my Pony and epic cartoon fixes!
As I am sure Darth Vader would have said in regards to this:
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
@Wolfgang He's such a powerful troll, he's even affecting TV schedules in our world! Celestia save us! D:
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I can wait as long as I need to.
ReplyDeleteMy "body wasn't ready" anyways.
Plus, more energy for me to devote to yelling at the TV during College Football and NFL games. :D
Wow, a gap? I could've sworn the DirecTV listing had Part 2 listed for this upcoming Saturday. I'll have to look again when I get the chance.
ReplyDeletePlus, since episodes air on Saturday, maybe the Sunday listing showed in the pic is just a re-run or Part 1 after the airing of Part 2, maybe for those who missed it before? Part of me is still skeptical. Can't rule out clever trolling yet.
@Moontouched-Moogle
ReplyDeleteOh, derp, read the article wrong. It's a gap between the whole Discord bit and the rest of Season 2. That makes MUCH more sense.
I am not a clever pony.

ReplyDeleteSeriously, why is this a thing? TV shows have gaps between new episodes all... the... time. This isn't anything new!
ReplyDeleteOh, right, I forgot: it's the Internet. XP
I thought more of that stuff was already done and ready before they started the second season. Hence waiting over the summer. Oh wellz. >.<
ReplyDeleteAwww, but the filler episodes are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThis has been the longest fucking week ever. @_@ Only four days and IT FEELS LIKE A GOD DAMN MONTH.
ReplyDelete@Flutterfan
ReplyDeleteOh shit I lol'd
I thought season two was going to start in December anyway so its not a real problem for me although it does make me a tad sad I have to wait more. But Sibsy did said they were still making season two.
ReplyDeleteIt better not be TOO long... Like a week at most. I don't think I can stand more than that!
ReplyDeleteNYUU!!
ReplyDeleteWhy must they taunt us so??
I'm going to survive by watching all 28 episodes again, I don't know about you.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually in the middle of watching most of the episodes. The ones I don't like, I'll skip, except for when I'm showing them to my mom.
ReplyDeletehalf life memes now become relevant to bronies aswell.
