For those of you with modded Nintendo Wii's, a new mod is in progress for Super Smash Brothers Brawl. So far it looks like the intro has been replaced, and a new Cloudsdale custom stage has been added.
Hopefully we will see some pony models in the future. I'm pretty sure Twilight Sparkle would be the greatest brawl character ever.

ReplyDeletePony models in stages are possible with vertex hack, pony fighters are a very hard task but pony themed characters are possible.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to tell you we won't have playable ponies. Non-humanlike characters would take way, way, Way too much work, and there's only guy that can make humanlike characters feel like an original (but these ones are really good, with every single move animation being original).
Brawl hacking has gone very far and done truly incredible stuff, but completely new characters, not so much.

ReplyDeleteI would say that Pinkie Pie's final smash could be like Peach's, except that instead of peaches falling, there would be cupcakes. Also the cupcakes could damage the other players.

ReplyDeleteBut Pikachu stands on its hind legs and runs more like a mouse. Creating entirely new characters is almost impossible: you need a lot of skill.
On topic, it's kinda rough right now, but I guess that's why it's a Beta and not any sort of completed thing. I'm concerned about the background at Cloudsdale, though. It looks SUPER close to the stage... where's the Pokémon Trainer stand?

Skyworld would of been better to use. Final Dest should keep its layout and basically be a modified level of were the mane 6 fights nightmare moon. Also I would of used a few differnt tunes (can remember the remixes names atm) buts thats just my tastes.

ReplyDeleteI like it, but to be honest, poor choice of song. It's a decent tune, but it really kinda fails to capture the Smash Brother's spirit, so to speak. But, just my opinion. The intro itself is well put together, though, and the stage has potential.

ReplyDeleteIf Pinkie Pie became a brawl character we'd all be doomed if she gained the power of the smash ball. Knowing Pinkie, her smash attack would completely shatter the fourth wall and warp reality...also everything may or may not end up as some kind of desert afterwards.

Aww...no actual playable ponies...oh well. The main encouragement is that if you do manage to get a pony working, it wouldn't take much to modify and make everyone else. just color changes mostly. And pegasus...Dang that would be pretty hard. It would work like...Has anyone ever made Knuckles into a SSBB char? Because that would be a good base for pegasi flight. Don't limit yourself to the standard characters as bases, if no one at any of the other mods has tried to make a quadruped better suited to make a base I'd be surprised. If we can't do this right, someone needs to get permission to mod super smash flash for a pony version.

Someone beat me to it... Owell I'm taking a different approach then whats here. So far all that I done was add like 10 songs, and replaced 2 assist trophies. I replaced Kat & Ana with RD and Gilda, and Nintendogs with Pinkie.

ReplyDeletePony characters would be hard to do over Wi-Fi (modding character "bones" causes desync and there aren't a ton of characters with pony-friendly bones, plus custom characters based on a character are limited to how many costumes the standard has), but I'd love to get a pony Brawl tourney rolling.
Amazing! THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE! Rainbow Dash would be Overly Epic in brawl!! So would Trixie and Applebloom (lol kung foo skills).
