• Know Your Meme FiM Charts

For those of you still curious about how FiM is doing in the meme circuit almost 2 months after season one's departure, look no further than the meme headquarters of the internet.

I'm not surprised that they upgraded it to a subculture.

You can find the full list of graphs here! Or if you want to try out my coding expertise, you can click the above image.

    7. We probably could. If you look back at that RD vs. AJ rap battle post, the comment in the direct link has 1,170 fucking votes. We should totally go take over a third world nation. Or sumthin

    8. And we have been banned from trending photos in KnowYourMeme. Too much FiM they said, we need to control them...

      SOON.

      ReplyDelete
    9. Welp, we're most definitely a subculture. And due to our strategy with dealing with trolls by being a kind of kind carnivorous troll, we hopefully won't suffer the same fall as the furries. The only thing I can see taking us down is the next season, since Lauren Faust isn't on it anymore it's possible that whoever has it now'll drop the ball... Here's hoping that won't happen.

    10. well MLP was taking so much place on KYM they banned us from the trending pic, since it was pony 24/7

then even after the ban we manage to trend through OTHER memes

so now the trending pics of KYM are chosen randomly, making them everything but trending.

TL:DR we broke KYM trending pics

      ReplyDelete
    11. Yeah we actually produce so much new stuff that we're banned from trending photos on KYM, which I think is an awesome accomplishment. But holy fuck the amount of stuff put out by this fandom is inhuman, it just blows the other Menes out of the water.

    12. As long as Hasbro keeps its nose out of the show I will be happy. If I see Celestia pink or Rainbow Dash with a backwards cutie mark in season 2.............I will probably just complain about it somewhere. Lol.

      I love this subculture!

    14. I think the graph would be a lot more interesting without the "images per day" bar. It really throws off the scale of the whole thing...

    15. I know this is old as fuck, and please don't hate me for it... but the first chart really screams OVER 9000!!1

    30. Our influence grows

      ReplyDelete
    31. Honestly, I was expecting that by now things would have died down a bit. Yet it seems that FiM and bronies are growing faster then ever.

Heck, FiM is so very close to unseating Forever Alone as most popular meme on KYM, and I think he's been top since the very start and has never faced a serious competitor for the spot.

Though I think it's oddly fitting that a show about friendship will be the one to unseat the guy who always ends up alone.

But this is an amazing and active community, bar none. I dearly hope it doesn't become a victim of it's sudden appearance and popularity.

    32. @zZDarkMemoriesZz

      Silly.

Taking over one place twice? Can you do that?

    37. Whoops, looks like I ended up on ED again.
Fun fact: The "per day" totals are averaged over a meme's entire lifespan. So while most memes' current totals will be anywhere between slightly lower and massively lower than their displayed totals, ponies, at the moment, manage to have a current total far above their displayed total.
In the time period between the two most recent charts, ponies had an average of 38,300 views per day, as opposed to their displayed total of only 12,800 per day. For comparison, in that same time period, Forever Alone had an average of 5,600 per day, compared to its 6,600 total, and Friday had an average of 1,800 per day, compared to its 10,700 average.
At current rates, ponies will have more views than Forever Alone by about 10 AM EDT on the 21st, give or take a few days.

      ReplyDelete
    38. What do you mean that you're surprised? Furries have always been categorized as a subculture.

      ReplyDelete
    39. I Still think we need at least 1 episode per month during summer to steer things up

      ReplyDelete
    40. Next stop, passing "Forever Alone" in views.

Keep up the great job guys.

      ReplyDelete
    41. I think we'll be the fastest to reach #1 if I'm looking at KYM correctly....

      ReplyDelete
    42. Fillies, Gentlecolts. The key to our success meme-wise is simple. We do not simply birth our own unique memes. He infect other memes with the power of Ponies. We make them Pony.

Simply put, we make Non-Pony memes about 20% cooler. And that is why we will surpass Forever Alone before Season 2 rolls around

      ReplyDelete
    43. >meme headquarters of the internet
      >not ED

      ReplyDelete
    44. O.o

      This community is CRAZY !!!
      ...
      ...
      ...

      I love it <3 ^-^

Keep it up Bronies !!! Soon enough we will rule the internet and one day, we will be the internet itself making everything else non-pony subculture and meme.
Come to think of it, that's actually a bit scary.
But I would try it hehe.

    45. Less so meme headquarters of the internet and a group of savvy businesspeople making a killing off other people's lulz, amirite?

      ReplyDelete
    46. How delightfully out of control.

      ReplyDelete
    47. I honestly expected at least a dip between seasons... this is insane....

      I love this fandom.

      ReplyDelete
    48. ...And ponies will be released into the atmosphere, ensuring global saturation.

      :D

      ReplyDelete
    49. @Anonymous

Yes. Yes, you are most definately rite.

ICHC is the internet's Satan. I fear the day they try to take over our fandom. They probably won't be successful, but they WILL try. Mark my words, bronies...every image you feed them only makes their dark power grow...

      ReplyDelete
    50. At present rate, the creative power of this subculture is quickly approaching a level comparable to that of Touhou. The only difference is that the fans of Touhou are most actively creating comics and musical arrangements in the east, whereas for MLP:FiM the fan-derived content has bloomed primarily in the west. It is an interesting parallel to observe for one as aware of both worlds as myself.

      ReplyDelete
    51. @Saphyr

You know of Touhou too,eh? My friend said once,"If all the Touhou fans were gathered in one place, they could form a small country and wage war".

But I agree, the MLP subculture is growing at a rapid rate just recently.

BTW I hail from the east.

    52. I have just started watching series 1 of FiM, I couldn't sleep last nite, imagining custom ponies and things...

Consider me a new member :D I might be a woman in my 30's but BRING ON THE PONIES!

      ReplyDelete
    53. @S.I.V
And I from the West. LOL!

Still, that anecdote is almost disconcerting... I'd say the Bronies shall soon bear the same strength in numbers (if not already). I hope Gensokyo and Equestria will both allow for dual-citizenship.

One day, may these two fandoms, should they ever intertwine, live in friendship and without incidents. And many more crossovers and beautiful works shall then be made between them FTW. The world will continuously become 20% cooler in ten seconds flat, and we can all take it easy together. We'll have tea, sake, and cupcakes at every party. We'll have winter wrap-up followed by flower viewing. All ponies can feel welcome at the Hakurei shrine regardless of the keeper's approval, and everyone in Gensokyo can come to the Grand Galloping Gala and cause hijinks such that it may please Princess Celestia.

...and such may it be for real life as well, while I'm at it.
