• Kids React To: My Little Pony Friendship is Magic

Epic Rap Battles fell through, which was partly my fault.  Apparently you need to choose a famous historical figure to match someone up with, and I didn't bother to research it beyond the 2 emails asking me to plug AJ Vs RD.  We can try that again later.

This one is much easier though.  Kids React just takes something ridiculous and plays it for these kids.

Someone has already set up a comment, directly linked below!

DO NOT CREATE A NEW COMMENT THREAD.

Stick with the one, and vote it to the sun and beyond

Anyway, you can find the comment here!

And if you guys want, we can try Epic Rap battle again.  I was thinking Twilight Sparkle Vs. Some Famous Religious Figure or something.

How about Twilight Sparkle vs. Thomas Jefferson? Two famous bookworms breaking it down to see who's the better rapper? Sounds epic to me.

And I'll check out Kids React. Sound interesting.

    3. Everyone thumb it up! I see no thumbs up D:

    4. Wouldn't a whole episode be a bit long for "Kids react" ? Maybe instead something like the ponycraft 2 video could be funnier.

    7. What the hell does this have to do with ponies other than shamelessly trying to promote it more?

I don't see the point anyway, the boys would just ridicule it and the girls would be aww cute. Or they'd only show it to girls.

Also, @DJ Midli, I tried simply because I may as well and it's not registering. I don't know why, but I'm never able to thumb up or down things on youtube.

If the boys ridicule it, they shall receive a heroic strike from one of my blacksmithing hammers unless they learn the...magic of friendship

    9. Well I absolutely detest children so imma give this one a miss...

    10. thumbs up don't immediately show up on youtube, it takes time for it to register

    11. I'm gonna go ahead and say this is a Bad Idea and to be honest Rap battle idea is kinda stupid seth just voicing my opinion here

      ReplyDelete
    12. I agree with the anonymous above, this is just more shameless promotion, there was no reason to link this on ED as what you are really linking to is a single comment on a video that is in no way related to ponies. I know that Seth wants us to take over the internet, but let it happen on its own, stop pushing it so hard.

    13. @Dan
I thought that should have been the match up we voted for last time, but no pony would come to their senses...

This is not too different. The "Kids React to" is for viral videos, not popular t.v. shows. I'd much rather see our shows popularity spread without forcing into people's faces.

      ReplyDelete
    14. Not only did more comments about FiM crop up... but they all are invading top comments.... GOOD JOB FELLOW BRONIES!

      ReplyDelete
    15. Why bother? Kids that age would hate the show, no question.

I mean really. When you were around 11 would you have even considered watching this? No matter how good the show is, boys are still too immature and would say it's for girls and refuse to like it, and girls, who would consider themselves more mature, would say they've outgrown MLP and also refuse to like it.

      ReplyDelete
    19. I've shown this show to small boys, and they love it. Plus, I've seen this Youtube show before, and a little girl loves that stupid Nyan cat. I'm sure this will work, and if the boys bash it there will be millions of comments bashing whoever bashes MLP.

      It happened anyways.

      ReplyDelete
    23. This could spawn massive drama.
AND it also seems confusing, how will they show MLP FiM to them? It's not exactly a short viral video, but an entire series. This could turn out disappointing if they decide to choose a random ponified PMV or something. Maybe we should be more specific :|

    26. I guess the Epic Rap Battle could be Queen Victoria versus Princess Celestia, Stalin vs. Luna, Twilight Sparkle vs. Pope Julius II, etc

      ReplyDelete
    27. To play devil's advocate: you realize that an MLP entry into Epic Rap Battles would involve the dude dressing up in a fur suit?

And that the reaction kids would probably only get to see the theme song or, at most, the first episode, which isn't even close to being the best one?

Either way, I don't see this ending well.

      ReplyDelete
    28. I'd like to see it, but from what I've seen so far when it comes to this fandom and counter-reactions, I'm honestly afraid some people would flood the comments if even one of them said it was silly or dumb. I'm sorry, but if you feel hit by this, you've brought it upon yourself.

*shrug* Here's to hoping the kids have good taste so that does not happen.

      ReplyDelete
    29. Instant regret over thumbs up.
I did not think this through.

    30. @Aquaman52 "To play devil's advocate: you realize that an MLP entry into Epic Rap Battles would involve the dude dressing up in a fur suit?"

Make it, say, Rainbow Dash and Mickey Mouse and it can all be animated. We'd probably have to offer to supply the animators, though.

      ReplyDelete
    31. Oh come on people it's just a bunch of kids.

Would you really feel threatend, insulted or whatever if an 8 year old bashed on MLP: FIM?

I want to see their reaction when they tell them that most people that like the show are 17 to 40 year old men.

      ReplyDelete
    32. Yeah, I don't think they'll do our dear little show due to the focus on short videos.

What would they show the kids in the time they have? A single episode, a select group of episodes, and which ones? PMVs, parody videos, the Equestria Girls ad?

You must be cautious when introducing the pony, it can be dangerous....

I'm gonna keep you under tight observation, Seth

      ReplyDelete
    35. @AnonymousI'm not afraid of what kids have to think, it's just when the kids give their negative(trust me they've picked the most negative group of children in america to do this show) opinions all of the comments will be along the lines of "See, even kids have more taste the bronies."

And god I don't even want to think about the reactions some of the kids will have to when they tell them how old most of the fanbase is. Especially William(12) and Lia(13-14) those two could outright call us pedophiles if they are in the mood. Can you tell I don't want this to happen?

      ReplyDelete
    36. I'd recommend showing them either Sonic Rainboom, Party of One, Applebuck Season, or Equestria Girls, then watch them smile at ponies.

      ReplyDelete
    37. @TheVioletLolita

We're not going to know until we try it and I seriously doubt they would be 100% negative. I mean, the kids even sympathized with REBECCA BLACK of all people.

Also, I highly DOUBT the kids would even make the connection between ponies and pedophiles.

If we want the herd to spread, we've got to take risks and take any criticism like a boss.

      ReplyDelete
    38. >We can try that again later.
That's the spirit Seth! But, this idea is...questionable. These are KIDS were talking about. They probably won't see the undertones of the show and take it the same way Fox News and Dave & Chuck did.

      ReplyDelete
    39. Showing your clear Twilight bias again Seth!
      PINKIE VS DEADPOOL
Or, everypony commenting their favorite pony vs a non-pony character, and thumbing up other bronies comments would work.

      ReplyDelete
    40. Hmm. This could be cool, or very bad (if they showed them something lame, like just the opener, or a really cheesy clip). I thumbed it up, out of curiosity more than anything. Here's hoping we won't regret this.

Seth, you need to be really careful. We're not your personal army, but at times we act as such unwittingly. Don't get us in trouble.

    44. I don't think MLP counts as a 'Viral Video.' So I'm going to voice my personal humble opinion and agree with the above statements that comment dumping requests to do MLP is a really bad idea.

Again, just my humble, non-confrontative opinion, recommended to be read in Fluttershy's voice for proper vocalization of my thoughts..

Anyway, if anyone wants ideas for "Epic Rap Battle", i'm thinking of Rainbow Dash VS. Sonic the Hedgehog! (And I mean in "animated series" VS. "video game" characters!

      ReplyDelete
    54. Trixie is easily the best choice for the rap battle. They are ALL about boasting. She's good at that.

I have no idea who would be a good contender, though.

      ReplyDelete
    55. @Anonymous yeah, what a immature group we have

      ReplyDelete
    56. What are you even going to show kids for that? An entire episode? If so, which one? I'm not really sure it would work.

I'm just saying that it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if enough people got angry about it for it to make an impression on the comment section in the video. I'm sorry for being cynical, but after seeing how people reacted to YAHOO (Yes, YAHOO), I would frankly be surprised if there wasn't a ragefest in case any of the kids showed dislike for the show.

    62. I think people get suspicious when the comments are like, 900 to 8 in favour of ponies. We're like a human spam bot...

      ReplyDelete
    63. So, what are they actually going to do?

I mean, when they're doing a new episode, they just look at what comments have the most votes?

So when they see 900 votes for MLP, what will they do? I mean, all opinions aside, it just seems technically difficult. Assuming the creators are not bronies themselves, how are they supposed to find something under the huge label of MLP that is short enough, but still good enough to show?

      ReplyDelete
    64. @Anons that say that 11 year olds would not like MLP FIM.

I'm an 11 year old brony. I am currently in a quest to get my entire class to become bronies. So far I have gotten my brother, my sister, 2 close friends, and I am persuading one.
Like you said, they usually start out hating it, then denial comes in, then they like it.

      (I'm a girl)

      ReplyDelete
    65. I'm in the "What are they supposed to show them?" group. Maybe we should get their reactions to Cupcakes *evil grin*

Lol, jk but dang, that'd be interesting.

Maybe we should introduce them to Bronies? Think about it, seeing a bunch of 20+ year old males who watch a show for little girls. Imagine the looks on their faces!Especially the boys! Then we show them a few actual episodes, and BAM! They'll all be hooked.

I just think "MLP FiM" is kinda broad. I don't think they're gonna show a full episode, as it is too long, so then what will they show?
I'll be interested to see if they take it, and in that case how they do it.
