      The "After the Gala" comics really improve on the ending of the original, though they are a Deus ex Machina which would have undermined the importance of friendship if added in canon.

      I'm just glad to see the mane six happy.

      Applejack's makes me feel the fuzzier and happy inside. She was the only one doing it for other ponies but herself. I was heartbroken when nopony wanted to buy her treats.

      Rainbow Dash gets me too. Because I love Rainbow Dash <3

      Like i said . . Celestia Knows when to break the rules... And how to Rule with everyponyies favor. Nopony will ever troll better than our Celly here. Im glad to see the other comics here. i seen the one with AJ a while back ago. I thought it was perfect ending to an otherwise messed up event, aside of just hanging out with the gang.

      Am I really the only one who noticed how in order to resolve the mane 6's self made problems, Celestia has to resort to extensive bribes (For Apple Jack) and otherwise play favouritism for a few select ponies at the expense of the great equestrian society (ordering the Wonderbolts spend time with RD and to get those tickets in the first place).
      Because corruption is so much more fun when it happens to your advantage.
      And that's what's stated outright.
      Isn't it also implied that in order to get a "happy ending" RD would have to dodge an assault and battery charge (for kicking a pony across a room and an aristocrat no less), which is the kind of thing you'd normally think the guards would frown upon. Unless the Ruler uses her personal power to shield against simple justice.
      I guess in a world like Equstria, having friends in the right place can insure you will have money from bribes, be shielded from the law other private citicens coerced by the state into entertaining you personally.
      Celestia sure is a nice ruler, isn't she...

      Celestia said that she invited the mane cast with the intention of making things more exciting, She must have know what that would involve. She has met Pinkie Pie and Rainbow dash before. She might have told the guards to give them a free pass for the night (If I invited Pinkie Pie to something, I would just give the guards the night off).

      Celestia's goal, was, in fact, to have the mane cast wreck the Gala, and she did a superb job of grooming them throughout the entire season for just this job. You don't think Twilight's letters to Celestia were just about her own lessons in friendship, to you? Wittingly or not, she was providing intelligence to Celestia about her friends' behavior and how it could be exploited.

      I'm ambivalent about the "improved" endings here; I suspect Celestia would figure that finally letting the girls in on her joke was enough of a "happy ending" for them.

      Didn't catch the the reference in the first one. Thanks bronies for pointing it out. I suppose I need to get around to playing that. As for the second set... I very much detect a mischieviously grinning Trollestia pulling a Pinkie Pie and breaking the 4th wall with a simple "Problem writers?" :D

      So glad I'd published 'Best Night Ever Extended Edition' already, but I really liked these. I thought I was the only one who wanted to do something about the rotten time they had.

      And Anonymous, I disagree with everything you said. Everything, down to the proper articles you use. Celestia bought Applejack's remaining stock, bought, and as she's been to Ponyville and tried cakes made with Sweet Apple Acres apples,she knows what she's getting. In my fic it was Luna.

      Nowhere is it implied that Celestia used any influence to get those Wonderbolts tickets. If they were decent ponies, they would have felt bad that they'd left her hanging. A pair of tickets was the least they could do to make it up to her.

      I notice that at least you couldn't make any spiteful little comments about Fluttershy's resolution. Try harder, something along the lines of 'dragging the poor pheonix down to meet the pony that tormented her'. No matter that it was clear she could escape whenever she wanted as the chase around Ponyville showed.

      Sorry, but I'm fed up of people going out of their way to find the worst possible explanation for everything in this series. These were great, and I hope Aleximus Prime ignores the carping and does ones for the other three mane cast.

      The three at the bottom feel so token and tacky and they ruin the end of Best Night Ever. In case you forget, one of the lessons they were supposed to learn was, things don't always go as you plan. This would nearly eliminate that.
