He asks that everyone fire off a message to people within the community who have impacted you personally, either one on one, or in the comments below. How has FiM affected your life?

    3. How has MLP:FiM changed my life? Only for the better. In the past I was the type of person who kinda secluded themselves from everyone else save for a small group of friends. Can't say I was fond of it, but it was who I was. After MLP, that changed. I became a lot more outgoing and cheerful. Can't say I remember a time when anything made me this happy. On top of that, I've learned to not only love and tolerate the people around me, but also myself.
I would love to say thanks to Lauren Faust for starting this family, for Hasbro and Studio B for putting out there for us all to enjoy, for the team behind the show, for without them we wouldn't be here. I would also like to extend my thanks to purpleeyesWTF for introducing me to the show in a manner I wouldn't have thought of. Thanks to EqD for all things pony in my world. Finally, last but sure as hell not least, thanks to the community; the writers, artists, musicians, everypony out there. I love you all, not a creepy way, but in a family sense. Friendship really is magic, and I'm glad MLP:FiM was there to show me. Brohoofs to all of you!

    4. I jut want to thank all of you bronies for letting me know realize the beauty and magic of friendship. You know, that motto, the magic of friendship, may sound like a corny phrase, but it's true, and I think that has shown in all the love we have created, all the magic we have shown to the world. Thank you, and may all of you have a happy holiday season. :)

    5. When I first saw PonyCraft 2 this March, and became curious enough about what the characters were actually like to watch the first few episodes, I had no idea it would become something so engaging and heart warming. It's difficult to convey how much of a positive effect the subtle changes MLP: FiM have had on me, both for my character, interests and hobbies. Now I draw, use photoshop, greet people on the street heartily, support charities and pester my friends about how much I love a TV show.

I can't imagine a better community to be a part of, either on or offline. Friendship really is magic. Let's all spread the magic this holiday and long after.

    6. While I can't say I was depressed beforehand, I wasn't really enjoying life. Since I started watching, last January, I've noticed my life has become a lot easier, especially socially. I'm happier, funnier, and I can imagine a lot more fun to be around.
I feel as if I finally have something to look forward to, other than the day to day, be it the new episodes, or talking to friends I've met since I've began watching. Although I can't say I share the same obsession as some fans, I feel this has had a pretty profound impact on my life. It's increased my faith, the happiness that comes from life has come back, my grades are better, and I just feel great all the time.

    7. Back before I became a brony, on 9/6/11, I was in a rut. Didn't feel like there was much more to life than sitting at a desk doing the same thing I do everyday. Then I discovered MLP:FIM. I regained faith in humanity, seeing that people could do more than fight with each other, we could get along. Where I come from, there's not many people that would even approach me unless they needed something that nobody else could help them with, but this fandom and show have helped me see that there's more than just those types of people out there. I'm proud to say, I haven't been able to find a reason to frown since I watched Episode 1, and I'm proud to say, that I am a brony.

    8. Goodness, looks like it's time to write.

First, I'll start with how ponies have affected me.
I've always been an overall believer in positivity. My life has been an attempt at an uplifting message that the world doesn't have to be darkness and pessimism all the time. It comes as no surprise that a show as innately Good as Friendship is Magic would resonate with me deep inside. The moment I became a brony was the moment I watched Twilight and her new friends band together and stop Nightmare Moon. Admittedly, this was about 7 months into the series, so I was late to the party, but hey, that's being busy at college for you.

Anyway, its effect has been an extreme increase in my faith that, deep down, everyone has some good. And much about this fandom helps to prove it even further. It's made my positive attitude almost unshakeable - more so than before - and for that I love the show and community and will always love it. Brony and proud.

Next, I'll do the individual-thanking thing, and since I'm posting on their site, I'll start with Cereal, Phoe and Seth.

Guys - you all rock. This site is awesome, no matter what anyone says. Not a day goes by that I don't check the place for all the most recent news. And each and every day I'm excited to see what's come up! Best news source ever.

Lauren, Jayson and James - thanks for putting your time and energy into directing and putting together what made this amazing fandom possible.

Lauren (again), Amy, Cindy, Chris, Megan and ALL OTHER WRITERS FOR THE SHOW - thanks so much for your excellent story lines and character development!

Tara, Ashleigh, Andrea, Tabitha, Nicole, Shanon, Michele, Maddy, Cathy, and for the sake of time, ALL THE OTHER VOICE ACTORS AND SINGERS FOR THE SHOW (And I mean ALL of them) thank you so much for all your hard work and lending your amazing talents to such a great show!

On to the community (all of whom I would thank individually if I had the time and space to do so.)

Next up is iBringDaLULZ (or Raphael) - thanks for the inspiring message that brought about all these wonderful messages, and thanks a TON for all the amazing music. You were my introduction to the music scene, and I've been seeking and keeping music ever since!

MictheMicrophone - Yep, you're in here too! Keep rapping, bro, you're God-tier at it. I ALWAYS look forward to all you do.

Tarby - your work is legendary, and I'm not just talking about the darker stuff. You're an excellent composer and your ROCK on that guitar!

ApplejacktheEngineer - Another composer I know by name and whose work I love. Keep up the amazing work!

Metajoker - See the above, you're a fantastic composer!

      (Continued.)

Goodness, there's TOO MANY composers I know and love in this community, so to shorten everything a bit, I'll just say - I've been listening to and downloading pony music for a good couple of months now, and I love ALL of what I've downloaded. There are so many amazing artists here in this community, and I always look forward to hearing more. I've never once skipped any music posted here on EqD ever since I started following. And though I'm selective in my downloading, that's more for the sake of saving space than actually disliking the music. EVERY ONE OF YOU keep up your amazing work!

Writers, the above goes to you, too! Kkat is the one I know best by name, and I think you KNOW how amazing your work is (you're told it's amazing on pretty much every new chapter of FO: E, after all.) But I've read a lot of fanfiction, and haven't always memorized the author's names (sorry!) For the most part, I've enjoyed almost everything I've read, so I say THANK YOU for all the time and effort you put into writing!

Artists! The same goes for all of you, I've never skipped a Drawfriend, and follow all the best artists on Tumblr. I can't get enough of all the amazing art that's being put out there. Keep on rocking those tablets or pencils or mouses or... Well, whatever your medium is, keep up the amazing work! I mean every one of you - there is NEVER too much pony.

      Ugh.
      Y'know?
TL;DR - I. THANK. EVERYONE. YOU ARE ALL AMAZING. EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU.

My only regret is that I'm not more into the getting to know people in this community. I need to give back. Perhaps it's time to start writing...

Anyway, that's it from me! Just ONE BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!

    11. Well, first off this show is amazing; both in the show itself and it's message. Normally I suffer from seasonal depression in the Winter months but MLP has lifter me out of it into a giddy bright new world. I also feel like I try harder on my college algebra (otherwise Twilight would be disappointed), I sprint faster and give it my all thanks to Rainbow Dash during baskeball: both game and practice, I give more thanks to Rarity, I care for and don't yell at my brother everytime he's annoying thanks to Fluttershy and Apple Jack, and Pinkie Pie has made me weird. Yep! Ponies are epic!

    14. It's caused me to think more before I do things. Granted, that's because I wonder "What would the ponies do?", but still.

Community-wise, the people over at Mane6 have inspired me to try to learn coding.

    15. to follow up on my comment, I was bullied as a young kid and with fandom and coming out of the closet and announcing my bronydom made me more of a target. It taught me how to be more tolerant and be more independant and not put my self down. It's good to be independant but also nice to know when you need help and to always be open to others and not hate when people send you the fedex express mail of hate your way

    16. I discovered the show after some searching on Wiki when I stumbled on images of the show. Myself I wasn't sure to watch it. Watched the first ones and found out how great it was and then the following shows. But to my surprise, I never expected so much from people love this show.

Fan art is quite obvious. Fan fictions also the same. But fan music that much? That much websites? A radio station? I was amazed. I was amazed that something like this could happen for a cartoon. I still am.

I'm so happy that people could make community this big with love and tolerance as a goal. Charity program? Why not? Let's spread the love.

As most people, I changed. Thankfully because I can't remember watching a cartoon making me smile that much. So I smile more, I'm more positive and can't stop checking what's going on on EQD. I love the music that those bronies musicians create for us. Thank you! THANK YOU! But, I was already eating apples and loving horses (who doesn't?).

Lauren Faust must have been (and still will be)thanked thousands and thousands of times. One more for her.... THANK YOU!!!

And the great team of Studio B for putting so much effort for doing a superb show like this one. It shows they put so much love in it.

Let's not forget the artists, writers, musicians (again) who make those works for us. And the ones who make those plushies, customs ponies and other MLP related stuff for bronies.

Now. What I just want is this show to last for a very long time. Thank you for reading.

    21. I haven't been a Brony too long. Since about August for me. I am so grateful I found this community.

About 4 years ago I had a "friend" completely destroy my life. I lost my apartment, my job, my girlfriend and everything because of his actions. I had to move hours away, back to my mom's. I lost everything I worked over a year to achieve.

This destroyed my faith in people. I trusted him since high school. Then my health took a turn for the even worse. I've been staring down dialysis for a long time because my kidneys are slowly failing due to genetics. This did not help my view of the world. I grew angrier and more hateful than I have ever been.

I saw the MLP Brony community starting to rise and decided to check it out. I watched the first season of MLP straight through and loved every episode. It was great art, good stories, humor, and morals about friendship.

My friend I got my friends Zola, Amy, and Dani into it. I started looking at cool and very well done art on DeviantArt (where I'm known as Vixz Vile a.k.a. Drizzle Vision if you want to talk sometime :) ). I have commented and talked a few times with Pixelkitties (I'm sure that name rings a bell for some! lol) and she's always been so very kind.

That is when I started noticing that I wasn't angry anymore. I was actually happy when I'm talking ponies with my friends or reading all the positive stories and comments, or pictures or fanfics from all of you too. It has taken less than 6 months to erase over 5 years of anger and hate!

Thanks to this community and the kindness and strength I see all the time in it, I am able to tell my friends how much I truly appreciate them and it has made us closer than ever. It has also given me the strength to face the unpleasantness I have coming with dialysis and things with a smile because I know, no matter what may happen the Brony Community exists.

A community of people who were brought together by candy colored ponies and a message of friendship. Just knowing that many positive and kind people still exist gives me hope to keep moving forward also!

I know this is probably horribly written, I'm usually much better at writing (when I finish my ponyfic hopefully it'll be better than this) but I appreciate everyone's time reading this.

In closing I want to say thank you to Zola, Dani, Amy, Arturus, Pixelkitties, and every Brony out there! Every one of you have helped with your positivity and kindness! *Epic Brohoof To All*

    23. I feel like crying right now guys. I never really thought about how MLP:FiM has changed my life before, but now I think about it, the only things I do on my computer besides gaming is pony related. My iPod is filled with a creepy mix of ponies, cupcakes and screamo. My uber-fast PC now runs pretty slowly when I first turn it on, due to all the episodes and music and art. Thanks to the fanart, I've started drawing again. I've been shown that dubstep is pretty awesome, that fanfics can be beautiful in their own right, not just a broken shadow of whatever they're based on (I'm looking at you, Kkat). This fandom has shown me that not everyone is a self-obsessed idiot, and that I should be more open-minded about everything.

Notably, I wanna say thankyou to: WoodenToaster and NotACleverPony for hours of entertainment and inspiration, Kkat for inspiring me to take my story (with which I was suffering from writer's block) in a new direction, HaxMega, for streaming the show each and every week so that those (like myself) who either don't live in the US or don't have the Hub can watch it, a big thankyou to Twilight Flopple (or Foxxy Hooves) on DA for doing those 'draw pony bodies & heads' tutorials, and the biggest thankyou of all, to Seth and Cereal, for running this awesome site, without which I would know of none of these, and would struggle day-to-day to keep my pony obsession in check. You guys are the best. I don't mean just those I've mentioned, everyone in the fandom. Thankyou for being awesome.

    24. The name's Thomas from Illinois, I'm 24 and I've been a Brony for about 7 months now. I wish I could type about how much this show has changed me, but to be honest, it hasn't. At least, not all that much. I've always treated the people I've met with the utmost respect.

But, man. This fucking fandom. It still, to this day, surprises me. Not just in terms of how nice we are to one another, but the sheer diversity in social groups. From preps and jocks, to geeks and dweebs. High Class to Low Class. Even our own servicemen and women. Hell, I'm the most brutal motherfucker in town. To have someone like me enjoy a show about Ponies and Friendship really says something. Even my friend [who isn't a Brony...yet. ;)] complemented me, saying, "YOU are what all Bronies are about. If someone as burly as you can enjoy a show about FUCKING PONIES, then anyone can."

Shoutouts to my MLPFC Bronies on FAKKU!, everyone from Equestria Daily, and you guys. You, no, WE are fucking AWESOME.

Through love and tolerance, we abide!
      To spread our message nationwide!
Bronies and fillies, united we cry:
"Friendship is Magic!" That is no lie!

    25. I was really depressed in life. It seemed that my childhood was fleeting away, and that my multiple moves made me depressed. I remember crying in my pillow almost every night. I was also worried about the media. It seemed that most shows were violent, badly drawn, and anything that wasn't violent were just to... sickeningly happy. This isn't all true, though, because i knew a couple of shows I liked. And now. all the way in Europe, i finally found happiness.
Ponies. That show is perfect. It is such a rarity to find a show as amazing as this(pun intended). I just cannot express my delight. Such a wonderful fandom. People loving and tolerating, no hate, its amazing. I feel safe here at Equestria Daily. Its a safe haven, a fortress against the Haters. In conclusion, thank you bronies and pegasisters.

    28. 7-month brony here. I haven't regretted anything, and I most likely won't anytime soon. I've learned how to not pay attention to the scum at my high school and appreciate the people that I do like that surround me. It inspired me to just go out and ask the girl I like out, and we're happily together now. She's actually going to try watch the show this Monday during our winter break. My life has become infinitely better with both her and ponies in them I thank all of you that had a hand in the show and contributed to the fanbase. You're incredible.

    30. I dont know where to begin.

First of all, let me just say that I love this show. Its hilarious, entertaining, and its 120% cooler than the shows of this generation. I've been a fan since September of this year.

Second, One of the things that changed the most for me was social activity. Whether it was online or irl, I didnt have the amount of friends I have today. Watching this show taught me how to act better, how to be with friends. I used to be a lonely person who would only see friends during school, and I wouldn't go out of my way to make new friends, or hang out with the ones I have. If I put my amount of social activity in a number between 1-10 with ten the highest, I was a 1 at home and a 3 at school. After I started watching the show, both numbers grew to 7-9.

Third would have to be my choice in art and music. Im usually prone to listening to the same music without changing, and I dont look at much fan art. But thanks to Equestria Daily, I dont have to go out of my way to look for the best art! This brony community is just 35.8% the reason why I like the show.

Lastly, I just want to say the show is just amazing. I dont think I need to sing its praises if everyone just watches the show once.

And finally, to the creators, animators, voice talent, and editors, who have created such a fine program with a timeless message. Thank you so much, my life is richer for your contributions, passion and vision. Thank you again.

    34. I just want to send a sincere thank you to all the ponies who've made this fandom what it is. Everyone here are EQD, Everfree, Bronyville.. everywhere. I want to thank the artists and musicians. I have been watching MLP since about this time last year when I first got wind of it here where I live, and I've never looked back.

It's made me a better person all around. Even my family has noticed a change in me <3 Showing kindness to others, being tolerant and accepting, making new friends.. I was a pretty keep-to-myself brony up until my 24th birthday, no doubt I loved them, but this was the crowning moment... One of my very best and closest friends got me a Rainbow Dash toy, and it was like my ponymeter hit critical, I've been collecting toys, listening to the music.. I have had the oppourtunity to go halfway across north america and meet other bronies, make new friends and lots of new and interesting opportunities with my life.. all because of these ponies.

So thank you Lauren, Hasbro.. the animators of the show, the musicians.. *wipes a little tear from her eye* .. this has been such a wonderful year for me <3

    35. I've been a brony for a while now and I have to say I've always felt like something of an outsider in everything I do. I'll admit I haven't been a very active member of the community though just seeing how nice you guys are, seeing how this has brought people together and even just reading through the other comments on this thread convince me that people are still inherently good and there is still hope that we may, as a species, be able to grow further and one day achieve amazing things.
Only one or two other communities have ever convinced me of that though none of them to the extent that this one has.
Just the fact that this entire community exists gives me hope for the future and to be honest that hope is one of the few things that gets me up in the mornings.
Thank you to all of you.

    36. I've been a Brony for a while now, and I'm going to tell everyone what this community/fandom has done for me!

Prior to the Season 1 premiere of 2010, I weighed 525lbs and was in danger of becoming a major Diabetic and having terrible Heart Disease. I didn't join the Brony community until the week after "Best Night Ever" aired and I started watching the show and getting indulged into the community. I found myself looking in the mirror while watching the episode "Dragonshy" and realized, I had lost faith in myself. The next day, I went and bought a Bicycle and tried to learn how to ride it. Being an obese kid in childhood, I never learned how to ride a bike until recently. I bike 4 miles a day now, and I go to the gym for 4 hours doing different exercises to lose weight. I was 525lbs, I now weigh 415lbs. and its because of this show, that I picked myself up (with the support of my own friends :) and started doing something. Even though I am a long ways away from my target goal of 250 lbs. I have no doubt I will get there, it just takes time (and ponies :)

    37. I cannot point out single people because the fandom as a whole has helped me in so many ways. Im sorry if im not as literate as other bronies here but ill try my best^^

A lot of fellow bronies have inspired me to continue editting videos and creating games. I really like the rainbow dash tylenol songs so much that I have been trying to create a video like it. Its taking a really long time to make but i have been working on it none the less. Transitioning into fanfiction, many artists have forced me to feel emotions in ways i didnt think possible. back in last summer when i first had some free time, i started to read fanfiction and i have been hooked ever since. I went from not reading at all to i read at least 10,000 words a night.

This whole fandom is amazing and i truely do love you all. You all have helped so much...

    38. Hey,

In all honesty, not much of my life was severely impacted. I made a few new friends, and I also gained a lot of neigh-sayers in people who think that I must be retarded to watch a show about candy-colored ponies (my parents included). In a way, it helped me gain better idea of who is willing to accept me for all that I am. I only have two or three bronies in my physical community, but I just wanted to say that all of you guys here, even though I am very much just a lurker, that I am more than proud to be a pegasister.

Lots of love and holiday cheer from Macadamia~ ^_^

    39. I must say that becoming a fan of MLP has helped me quite a lot. I've taken to heart the lessons that the cast has taught us and can honestly say I've become a better person. Sure, I can still be an ass at times and I tend to have a hard time talking to new people or remembering to talk to those I already know, but I have been taught to love others even if they push my buttons. I've donated money to fanfic writers and the musicians that allow it through bandcamp and whatnot. I'd have never done any of the nicer things I've done recently were it not for you guys and the show. Heck, I don't even think the show itself could have gotten me to change so much.

Just wanted to say thank you everypony for being so awesome. Keep up the great work!
