#1: Good art, good staging, delivers the gag and gets the heck out of there. Excellent little strip. Love Derpy's flailing in the last panel.
#2: I'd prefer that particular fanfic to not be referenced in any sort of canon or pseudo-canon context, but aside from my preference, it was a pretty good comic. I agree with Ikusa GT that it wouldn't ruin Pinkie Pie for me because it's so far out of character; I just hate that there's a small but active section of the fandom that does seem to think it's possible that canon Pinkie could have that dark side.
@Snowy Flanks I have toyed with the idea of how the main 6 would react to reading it; my ideas for Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle are far removed from Musapan's comics, possibly because I'd aim for amusing reactions that would mock that particular fanfic.
I guess I've seen/read too many scary/gory films/books, but I just found cupcakes utterly boring. But all those reaction comics are priceless, especially with Twilight! Twilight is the very definition of adorkable.

#2 Oh Twilight, Sometimes a book isn't just words, sometimes there are pictures too. I do wonder how Twilight would react if she came across a book like the necronomicon, but that is the real of grimdark fic writers.

Everyone who is sick of Cupcakes references need to realise that not everyone is bored of referencing it. And not everyone was there when Cupcakes first came out. We're going to keep getting references for a LONG time.
I say this as someone who didn't like the original fanfic.
1. flat out love how cute Derpy looks in the last panel and poor Dash for trying to get home with the now ruined muffins.
2. Need I say that Cupcakes isn't scary at all and that I enjoyed Rocket to Insanity and Rainbow Factory much more? I just don't see what was so scary about Cupcakes.
Plus, for those who thought the writers of the show were referencing it, it was just a pure coincidence that Pinkie went bonkers in "Party of One". Besides, the only thing I liked about the fic was Pinkie being a bit of a nutcase, aside from that, its not scary in the slightest, it didn't change my likeness for Pinkie at all and its pretty overblown, to be honest.
For the second comic, the first two panels sucked. Dunno, but I think it's something to do with the line art. The first panel was just... ya.
But the the last one looked great! I don't know what doing the lights were like. But Spike's facial expression is good and Twilight looks just absolutely adorable.

Get it right(it doesn't help that the people who do the descriptions here at EQD can't get it right either). Also, to the people that aren't steve jobs here, anyone else worried about how the ninja in question will be portrayed in the show, since she now has a bigger part and all...with words that are {decidedly} not muffin. I'm kinda hoping that the writers have read The worst Bakers In Equestria:the Preliminaries;that Ditzy is best Ditzy-I mean there's a little bit of sillyness-and that's ok, she can also produce coherent speech;a must have. Then there's her specializing in the art of deduction and other detetively things. That was a bit of a shocker, in an elephant man sort of way, but it totally fit in character, not to mention the whole sidekick thing, that seemed like it could happen(though, admittedly, probably not).Ditzy happens to be [oddly] the only parent I've ever read about that could become canon besides some background ponies[think about it]. I mean in a lot of fics, she makes a great mom and... I'm not sure where I was going with this. I expect replys.
