ReplyDeleteActually, it's a cute little story; nothing deep, but a nice look at a strong friendship between two fairly different mares. I'd like to see more stories in this vein with these two. And more Twist, too, to be honest.

ReplyDelete@ShadowsPony Shipping contains themes of dating or romance, or falling in love. Friendshipping is more along the lines of emotional intimacy - characters that are really close and care a lot about each other but the text doesn't imply that it's romantic in nature.

ReplyDeleteI believe friendshipping is just deepening the bond of friendship between two characters, nothing romantic, like you would see in the show.
Shipping on the other hand is more about love and romance.

Shipping is what fanfiction does when two characters fall head over hooves for each other. Can involve sexual themes, but most resolve in a kiss or implied sexual activity.
A Lyra and Bon Bon fic... that isn't shipping...

This story was sweet. It's a great example of what good friends are, just like Bon Bon and Lyra during the parasprite invasion. During that scene, Bon Bon doesn't gasp when the parasprite eats her cake but she does when it eats Lyra's cake.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the sign of a good friend? She cares more about someone else's well being than her own.

This is a solid piece of work.
ReplyDeleteThere were several technical problems with this though, if not anything wrong in the story itself.
For instance, some spelling errors and paragraph timing spaces needs to be adjusted
Personally, I thought this was an amazing read. In particular, Lyra's I HAVE PINK HAIR AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO USE IT moment.

From the description, I could easily believe that thing has been nothing but trouble for poor Bon Bon. I'm also willing to bet that she was the one who had to pull the CMC out of the darn thing.
