• Maud Pie and Choco Pony Heading to TrotCon

Trotcon has snagged the VA behind Maud Pie, Ingrid Nilson, for their upcoming event. Head on down below the break if you will be in Ohio around July 15th!

Maud Pie & ChocoPony Are Coming to TrotCon. How Exciting.

Our next VIP guest shares more than one distinction with John de Lancie, our already-announced MLP guest for TrotCon 2016.

First of all, both voice characters on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Which, you know, you probably could have already guessed.

The other similarity? Well, if you’ve been with us since 2012 (and if you have, mad props!), you know already that John de Lancie, best known for our purposes as the voice of Discord, has never visited TrotCon before now. Same goes, as it happens, for our next guest, too.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Ingrid Nilson to TrotCon 2016!

Fans of MLP will recognize Nilson as the voice of Maud Pie, Pinkie Pie’s sister who’s appeared in multiple episodes since season 4. She also snagged the roles of Limestone and Marble Pie in the “Hearthbreakers” episode from last season.

Basically, if you want to get as many members of the Pie family under your roof at one time, she’s your gal!

Of course, Nilson has plenty of credits outside MLP. If you’re a fan of the Strawberry Shortcake TV and movie series, she’s voiced Raspberry Torte since 2009. She also appeared as Sloane in Barbie in Rock ‘N Royals, among many other titles. Singer and dancer, too. You’ll have a lot to talk about.

Throughout TrotCon, she’ll be on hand to visit panels, sign autographs and generally hang out. You know the drill by now.

ALSO, how about community guests? Already have a few announced, have PLENTY more coming down the pipe. But for today in particular, we’d like to give a shoutout to a returning special guest for TrotCon 2016, ChocoPony!

If you attended our 2015 convention, chances are you either met him or saw his work in our Artist Alley or even with the awesome limited edition coins given to some of our sponsor badge holders last year. If you didn’t get your hands on his fine crafts there or at the other conventions he’s popped up at over the last few months, well, now’s your chance. Tarot decks, card games, all kinds of goodies — you’re gonna want to check him out.

Our two new guests will join John de Lancie, the always-wonderful Heather Breckel and other awesome return fandom guests Pixelkitties and TJ Carson at TrotCon 2016, and we’re not done yet. We should probably hurry it up, though. Con’s in like two and a half months.

What can you expect from us next? We’re currently finalizing our list of vendors and musicians for 2016, and our panelist applications are live until May 20. We’re also still accepting staff help for 2016. You should apply. You’re cool. We like you. Yes, even you.
