ReplyDelete#3: Cute portrait of Spitfire, but I have to wonder what she's up to. And how many different cutie marks the fandom's assigned her so far.
#4: These "paper vector ponies", as the artist describes them, are all coming out great, and having a background that matches the pony turns it into a classic image. I can almost feel the wind as Big Macintosh judges what the weather's going to do next.
#13: I have no idea what's going on here, but this is a marvelous study in the effective use of light and shadow.
#14: Great portrait of Octavia, just lounging around for once; the artist really captured her eyes.
#15: Fun logo featuring Derpy; sometimes keeping things simple is the best way to go.
#20: Another well-done b&w image that's leaving me baffled as to what it's about.
#21: The princesses are cute enough on their own in this pic, but having them trying to wear their now too-large shoes...
#23: Lots of good Big Macintosh drawings in this drawfriend. Was he still called "Big" Macintosh when he was just a newborn?
#28: Love the expressions in this one; that's exactly how I imagine Trixie and Twilight reacting to this turn of events.
#31: Delightful image of Rarity engrossed in her work; I love Opalescence swatting at the ribbon as she rides on Rarity's back.
#35: Dazzling color in this portrait of Rainbow Dash in her gala dress.
#36: I'm a bit surprised they didn't do this gag in the show. This may be the cutest that Pound Cake has looked so far.
#38: So, is this better or worse than Twilight's dancing at the garden party? Nice animation.
#41: Spooky image of Celestia in a graveyard; makes me wonder if there's a story behind it. Or if there's any significance to the fact that the grave markers are crosses.
#42: Nice image of one friend looking after another; shockingly, it's been on dA for about 8 hours, and it's not in any of the shipping groups.
Wish I had time to comment on more (or even all) of the images, but this and the past few Drawfriends have all been particularly awesome. Thanks to all the artists and the staff of EqD!
