    1. Main character is Spike? I normally wouldn't but I'm feeling optimistic.

    3. Main character is Spike? Fuck yeah!!!

    4. Hmm… Sounds interesting. Might put on "to read" list. I'm exhausted, and I have work to do in the morning.

    5. I like it; it's more of a mood piece than a story with a plot, just following Spike around during an evening at fair at the close of summer, but it does evoke the season nicely.

    6. This was incredibly sweet and just the right length for what it was, I really liked it.

    7. Yes, it's a mood piece. But it's a very good one at that. And perfectly timed with the changing of the season. Only twice in a year, does fall happen around the world. It's important to recognize its coming, along with the last season's passing.

    8. I'm tired of sadfics.

I wish there were more fics like these. Come on guys, get this up to five stars, that's just how good it is.

    9. This fic was lovely . . . sweet without being cloying or overdone. Every pony was in character (I especially liked Rarity and Scootaloo). It really captured the mood of a fair, and that subtle change from summer to fall. Five stars.

    10. Yeah, *that* is what I'm talking about. This is getting pimped in quite a few places now. You, sir, have evoked my favourite season and brought back a ton of memories from fairs I used to attend when I'd visit my grandparents.

    11. I insist that Spike is the best pony. He is such a good little guy!

    12. This one was really good, and had an incredibly nostalgic feel to it as well.

My 5 stars good sir, they are yours.

    13. Well written and pretty original. There are definitely not enough emotional Spike stories. Though, more emphasis could have been put on how Spike will recall such times many centuries after all his friends have died.

    14. MY HEART IS NOW FILLED WITH WARM FUZZIES! THANK YOU!

    15. Lovely! Bravo! Charming!

Nice descriptions, pacing, length, everything. It doesn't have to be a long epic to be really good. And the best part, is that it feels like something that could have actually happened in between chapters of season one all right!

You have earned yourself a Righteous Brohoof, my good sir.

    16. My 5 stars. I want you to have them.

It was just the thing I needed to wind down. Very easy to follow with the details of the scenery, and Spike's emotions of Autumn; I can relate so well. Heck, I'm so relaxed and happy right now I can hardly think of words to describe how well-written this is. I smirked so wide at the end with the necklace, such a subtle twist.

Let's just say you did an excellent job, much like Nightbreak said, at describing my favorite season with some grand memories of the fair.

Nice job, and thank you. :D

    17. Oh wow, that was amazing!

You really did capture the nostalgic effect and the passing of time in this one. The twist at the end was brilliant as well.

Thank you for making my day!

    18. A lovely story, it will be in my DA favourites forever. If more writers would realise you don't have to write a 17 chapter epic for it to be a great story we would have more pieces like this one.

    19. Showing size doesn't mater for great stories. This really could of been a sweet little episode

    20. That was a great little read. I loved the twist. Very touching, not a single flaw as far as In could tell. Loved it.

    21. I see a lot of author's these days bragging about the size of their fics.

This was short, sweet, and emotional.

I especially loved the little twist you put in with the two prizes.

      5 stars

    22. I'd make the obvious "size" joke here, but the story deserves better. A very satisfying work, and just the kind of read perfect for those wanting to spend a bit of time with our favorite ponies. (Minus Dash).

    23. This was great. 5 Stars. It would be 6 but you were missing an element.

    24. I wish I had more to say. The story was a nice heartwarming break from all the shipping, grimdark, and adventure fics as of recent. I like how you keep the readers guessing about the necklace. We need more short and sweet fics like this.

    25. This story was simply adorable. I think you captured the youthful wonderment of something like a county fair very well, and the story never loses its episodic feel as it progresses. 5 star material, no question.

    26. This was a really enjoyable episodic story, and the nice little twist was a really nice touch.

    27. I've never read a bad story by The Descendent. I love how this one just throws us into the middle of events. Also, Spike really is adorable.

    28. This was a very relaxing and enjoyable read. The way the fair and its activities were brought to life really made the piece. Also, the whole "autumn is coming" theme added just a touch of sadness, but at the same time, a sense of hope.
