• Music: Cotoponi / A Rare Art / In Celestia's Honor

I have no clue what genre the first one is, but it's pretty freakin catchy!

1.) General Mumble - Cotoponi (The Mars Volta - "Cotopaxi" cover)
2.) A Rare Art: an AotD Orchestral Remix
3.) In Celestia's Honor (Fan Music)

Second was okay too. Not as big on the really slow soft stuff, but not bad.

This post was a very okay post. :P

    5. Most Luna/Celestia songs are just random songs thrown together that, while they sound nice, really don't invoke the aura of said princesses. Sure it was named Celestia's Honor, but can you see Celestia jamming to that? That song playing as she flies in? Nope? Her stuff is more, eh, orchestral? That's not the word, can't think of the word I need. Annnnnnyway, they were nice. Especially liked 1 and 2. None of them are Rainbow Factory though.

      I have noticed this too.

People just make an orchestral piece and then slap the name Luna in the song's title. I don't get it.

    8. Ugh. It's like... I know what the first song sounds like, yet I just can't put my finger on it.

    10. lulz @sagatendo i knows :3

@tast i can see Luna listening to Progressive, Liquid DnB, Future Synthpop, Minimal, and Ambient space music. LUNA NEEDS MORE GENRES!!! and Celestia too i guess

    11. All Glory to the Solar Empire.

I like the slightly aggressive feel to the third song. I'm also a part-time d&b fan, so that helps me to like it all the more.

You don't get it because you don't see what drove them to make the song.

I'm certain that they didn't make some random piece and say 'ohey, I'll put poni in the title'.

The artist was inspired by Celestia and that's why it's called as such.

In Celestia's Honor by SupaSpeedStrut: loved it and downloaded it! It reflects the power and mystery of Equestria's goddess pony, a counter point to New Lunar Republic by NACP. It says 'watch out!'. Princess Celestia is going to kick ass and kick hard in season 2. ^_^

    16. Hey, sorry my song's so long...
I think I got a bit carried away.
Just FYI though, it's not very repetitive, just slow and with a lot of different sections.
And a lot of stuff of my own.

    18. Oh Mars Volta. Oh my long-lost friends. It's been too long. I am so sorry for turning away from you.

    19. What would make an outstanding tribute to Princess Celestia? Symphonic Orchestra with Choir, Octavia, Vinyl Scratch, Lyra, Sweetie Bell, Pinkie Pie (Brass Section lead Trombone)...hhhmmm anybody else got any ideas?

    20. The tempo in Cotoponi is kinda... Different (5/4?). I like different. General Mumble is a very skilled musician (but I like some of his other songs better).
The 2nd one is apparently very well made, but not a big fan of classical here, so...
The 3rd one is very good. As said, it has a slight aggressive feel that really adds to the song (although it gets kinda repetitive with the same progression).

Someone should make jazz for Luna. I think it kinda fits her style.

Thanks mate! 11/8 and 9/4... Well... That's... Exotic. A really nightmarish time signature, especially to the drums/bass players.
Really good band, will keep listening.

    23. If you had asked me yesterday to name the two most random things that could be combined, I might have said My Little Pony and the Mars Volta.

TMV amuses me. "'This is our acoustic album.' 'But there's electric guitar in most of the songs.' 'Screw you.'"

    24. Muaha, the Mars Volta are my favorite band in the world. I honestly never expected to see a Ponified Cotopaxi when I opened up Equestria Daily. Oh, this fandom. <3
