• 1080p Dragonshy / Bridle Gossip

Mentos has finished off his 1080p HDTV rip set, with Bridle Gossip and Dragonshy.  They really are..beautiful.

You can find his page below with the entire season!  Sadly for those of you who haven't nabbed any of these yet, they do have transformers overlays and stuff built into the episodes... but it's the best we can do until Hasbro releases a Blu-Ray set.

    1. Or you could use a Youtube downloader program like I do...Or Torrent them (the one I used on PirateBay had Incredible quality).

    4. No disrespect, but I prefer the 720p set that has 5.1 audio. The video isn't quite as good and the files are absolutely huge, but there are no watermarks and the audio is surround sound.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

    5. I prefer the 720p as well, mostly because they're the easiest to use for PMV's.

    6. It might be just me, but my browser takes like up to 20 seconds to load the page, then tells me it's not available.
Too many folks trying to visit it?

    8. Thank you Mentos. PROTIP: Use Jdownloader to batch download 'em and avoid the tedious waits and nasty CaptChas. I was just downloading them all till I noticed I was missing Briddle Gossip and Dragonshy. I'm so glad that they're all up now :3

    9. Couldn't you guys, like, use On Demand versions of episodes? They don't have obtrusive overlays. The only problem is, you can't get all at the same time, and it would take months to be able to collect them all...

    10. @TenchiFreak5 That's iTunes version. It's cleaner, it's "official", but it has a messed-up colour palette, which makes it look like ass in comparison to TV rips.

(Why would anyone do such a thing?)

    11. Awesome!
and btw, does anyone knows about a better set of spanish subs?
I've heard there are other set of spanish subs, and I'm interested on them because Milton's subs don't syncronize well with the 720p/1080p files.

    12. I have the 720 version and its a lot better than the youtube rips but its the iTunes version. Just found that infamous scene in a dog and pony show where Dash and Fluttershy simply dissapear. I can't believe they expect people to pay for that...

    13. @TenchiFreak5Those are the iTunes rips.

    14. So this may sound stupid, but how do I actually watch these?

    15. The 720 version's color problem is mostly fixed by simply using preset configurations with ffdshow.

Personally I think the quality loss is an acceptable tradeoff to get rid of the watermarks, until a blu-ray version comes out.

    16. I figured that they were probably the iTunes version, but it is nice to know that it is the case.

    17. With the 720p rips, you could just play with the contrast to counteract the washed out palette. Not perfect, but it'll do.

    18. Yeah, I got the 559 mb 720p set in mkv. Cool as these are, my internet strained enough downloading the season already - and the worst its got is the odd popup for hub stuff (well that...and this stupid promo for pound puppies that comes on while I'm nodding to the beat of the end credits)

    19. I found a torrent with iTunes rips in 1080p with no watermarks whatsoever...it's like 20 gigs, though.

Please do link, I am interested. Storage space is not an issue (Nor is download limit.)
      Thanks.

Oh Noes ! You mentioned Piratebay !

Now the FBI is gonna kill us all !

      Quick ! Hide the ponies ! ;)

(it's a joke by the way... it's a good website... not that I would know *cough-cough*, not at all.)

    22. @ I-Bend_Spoons You're going to need a codec that runs .mkv files. I personally use the Combined Community Codec Pack, its free and will run pretty much anything (even has blu-ray software now I think).

    23. Hey is anyone else having trouble with Episode 4 (apple buck season) in 1080p?

    24. And none but one of you mentions how sexy Rarity looks. Pitiful.

According to the file names in this doc, these also have 5.1 sound.
