The intro had me a little "meh" but by the end, I was very pleased with it. The ending itself was quite satisfying. I really enjoy this one.

That was...interesting! I really shouldn't like the second half of this fic, but I do. I guess it was so over the top that it managed to be truly humorous...and the notion of Dash being so "talented" was hilarious.

I loved part 1, but part 2 less so. The first part was simply hilarious, in situation, characterization, and dialogue. The second part...eh...it felt almost TOO on the line between a randomfic and a clopfic. The part about Dash was great, and the mental image of Celestia and Luna getting into a slap fight makes me giggle, I couldn't stand the "mule" thing, and it wasn't really what I would call "random".

ReplyDeleteThanks for making it so over the top and hilarious. I loved how every single ponies sexuality was amped up to eleven and just kept on going for the sake of humor and exaggeration.
I absolutely loved the writing style in this, most particularly with the excellent mix of descriptions and the hilarious dialogue volleys that describe a scene with descriptive words.
Scenes Specifically, I loved the opening with Trixie. It was absolutely hilarious how Trixie was, for once, praising Twilight and mentioning in hilariously skimpy detail what Twilight did last night.
It was even funnier when Celestia and Luna were being immaturely catty. The bursts of childish violence, and the hilariously perverted observations at inopportune moments was amazing.
The encounter with Rainbow Dash was an excellent part closer. I especially loved how Wing Boner gets its own paragraph for sound effects, and how Luna clarifies that yes, it was that way.
The part back at the Library was incredibly funny. Though the "FOREVER in Hiding" part is overused in my opinion, it's hilarious to imagine Twilight doing such a thing. Thanks for that visual image, by the way.
The letters were funny. I didn't get the sound effect with Luna's letter at first, but when you gave me that horrifyingly funny mental image, I just had to laugh. Also, I just shivered in giddiness when I typed that last sentence.
The Rarity and the Mule reference was outrageous, offensive, and above all, funny. It's just really, really amusing to me when Twilight gets turned into a sex fiend like that, more-so when Rarity is involved.
Luna borrowing Rainbow Dash's home was unexpected, though it would have been funnier if there was a quick cut to how quickly Luna had acquired it from Rainbow Dash.
The Porn Stash was epic, if a little predictable.
Twilight becoming so arrogant with her unshorn fetlocks was pretty bad. It was just too sudden of a switch with not much past behaviour to back it up. Twilight just seems more like the reluctant showpiece rather than a showboat, I guess.
Luna and Twilight's experimenting was too short lived. It felt like someone was about to catch you writing this and you just skimmed right past it. Though in all honestly, I would have skimmed right past an actual exploration scene, but still, the way you just wrapped it up like that was pretty lacking.
Celestia bursting in like an angry spouse was funny only because she managed to slam cloud doors and wreck a cloud house, and because of the "Cow" insults flying in between the two of them.
The Porn Scene after that was just... painful. It's not like Fluffershy wherein the illogicality serves as a hilarious bit; in this case, it just hurts with how illogical it suddenly is.
The trio watching the show with Rainbow Dash was also just painful. Being distracted that easily may be a plus most days, but this is just bad.
Twilight riding both the day train and the midnight train was somehow not a funny way to end it. I don't know why.
Overall, great story. It may have flunked at the end when it stopped being clever and started being dollar-DVD, but the romp was fun.
BAH! Who needs Celestia. Luna FTW.

ReplyDeleteThis is the second time I've seen it referenced in another fanfic and it's made me grin ear to ear both times. This fic was incredibly amusing.
Just want to note: "like a conscientious thief pry-barring open a window to return an unwanted gift" is one of the best similes that has ever been written.
