YOU are not scientifically possible! I'm gonna have to remember that... Also, now that wars are recognized by ponies, I suppose wars have occurred in the past. So many questions, future Tuesday Twilight, why did you have to leave so soon? Tuesday? So they use the 7-day week system as well? So many questions for less than 1 and a half minutes.
I think I am gonna watch this episode with my gun. as soon as it's over, I'm just gonna off myself because my life will be complete and I will die happy.
Future Twilight looks pretty badass. I'm disappointed though that the message was "whatever you do, don't..." That pretty much seals it as a self-caused mess of overreaction in my book. I'll hope to be pleasantly surprised though, and either way I'll be sure to enjoy more Twilight on the ride.
Things I like about this 1. Continuity reference to a off hand bit of dialog. 2. 80's Scifi reference. 3. The phrase "Epic pony war in the Distant Future."

I will say that I don't see how it could be "Whatever you do, don't use the time travel spell"...
It just doesn't make any sense with the way that scene was written. Present Twilight doesn't believe time-travel is possible, know how to do it or where the spells are, and future Twilight tells her all of these things and shows only mild impatience in doing so. They aren't important details to her... but if her whole message was "Don't ever use them!" then it's just too much carrying of the idiot ball for me and the delivery seems all wrong.
I suspect instead it will be something non-cataclysmic and yet important enough to Twilight to use the spells in the first place... missing an assignment, forgetting Celestia's birthday, whatever... and the damage of future Twilight will all be achieved over the course of the episode as she panics.

That was probably the single weirdest scene I've ever seen in this show ever. I almost thought it was some really well done fan animation, not part of the actual show...what in the HECK?? Beat-up Twilight, mentions of war, Star Swirl the Bearded, Twi acting crazy adorkable...my brain can't handle it.
BTW anyone noticed that the BGM used in the clip uses a melody similar to that from "Return of Harmony pt 1" specifically when TS is trying to decipher Discord's riddle.

--Yes I took serious note of that too. Though Twilight's calmness would also seem to suggest that while the concept of war is known to ponies it's a distant enough concept that a modern Equestrian can't really conceive how terrible it would be, though it could also be that Twilight is simply too busy nerding out over the whole time travel is real scenario to waste brain power on anything else. After all, it's not like ponies are secretly a war-like race who are only biding their time with jolly frivolities until the next great chance to earn honor by shedding blood on the field of battle :-)
Anyway, I don't normal watch preview clips, preferring not to taint my viewing with spoilers, but had a good feeling that for this plot it would only be the setup scene, so just this once I did and now I am so stoked for this episode. Saturday cannot get here soon enough.

Wow,just wow. I think this episode, ifStudi B does everything right, gonna be the closest thing we´ll ever get to a perfect MLP episode. I mean, look at that FutureTwi or how PresentTwi reacted! Also Scars! And War! And EVERYTHING! Wars are canon, ponies can actually bleed and get scarred (we haven´t seen anypony with scars till now, correct?) and time travel is possible...i think i need new pants, please excuse me.
If Twilight can survive multiple heavy objects falling from above and crashing onto her head, and then look none the worse for wear in the next scene, just what kind of craziness has to happen for her to end up losing an eye? Only thing I can think of is that she tried helping Rarity make some costumes, and things went epically wrong.
And here's some words I never thought I would say: Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since the last Twilight episode!

Though Twilight's calmness would also seem to suggest that while the concept of war is known to ponies it's a distant enough concept that a modern Equestrian can't really conceive how terrible it would be, though it could also be that Twilight is simply too busy nerding out over the whole time travel is real scenario to waste brain power on anything else. After all, it's not like ponies are secretly a war-like race who are only biding their time with jolly frivolities until the next great chance to earn honor by shedding blood on the field of battle :-)
Anyway, I don't normal watch preview clips, preferring not to taint my viewing with spoilers, but had a good feeling that for this plot it would only be the setup scene, so just this once I did and now I am so stoked for this episode. Saturday cannot get here soon enough.

I wonder if this episode is partially a nod to Fallout: Equestria? And I can't wait to see how this story unfolds. An apocalyptic future? Future Twilight having to learn stealth abilities to get by? Present Twilight going mad again? This might be my new favorite episode. 8D

I've heard that they aren't supposed to read fanfics.
If Twilight can survive multiple heavy objects falling from above and crashing onto her head, and then look none the worse for wear in the next scene, just what kind of craziness has to happen for her to end up losing an eye? Only thing I can think of is that she tried helping Rarity make some costumes, and things went epically wrong.
And here's some words I never thought I would say: Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since the last Twilight episode!
