The entirety of my high school years completely sucked, so I'm glad that it's over. When you get out, you'll end up forgetting most of the crap that went on anyway. Instead of dealing with dumbasses in high school, you get to deal with them in the workplace. (Or college depending on where you go)
ReplyDeleteRetribution usually never works for me, but then again I have the personality type of avoidance. I hate confrontations. Guess it depends on how bad the hazing is. Getting a bunch of notes isn't as bad as getting beaten up for example, in perspective.
They're already unreasonable if they do something like that to you. Are there any other bronies in your school? Does the same thing happen to them?
ReplyDeleteAnd by the sounds of it, if the bronies' name is bad enough that you'd get hate letters that aggressive, then there's nowhere it can go but up. And if you can show that people don't FUCK WITH YOU, then you tell them YOU DON'T FUCK WITH BRONIES. This is not a normal, common sense, reasonable society, Travis. This is highschool. It's a fucked up place and you gotta stand up for yourself. Are bronies wimps? People sure as hell think so.
Wow, that was a bit aggressive. I... umm... just trying to rile ya up, ya know? Sorry if I... piss anyone off with what I'm saying here. And Travis, it's your choice, so you don't have to do what I'm suggesting ya if you don't wanna. It may be a bad choice for you.
I guess what I do works for me because people know me for that. People stopped messing with me when I upped and dumped whatever the hell I was drinking on their desk. They were the ones bullying me so they even got reported.
Aw crap, I just went and submitted that comment! I was thinking of not sending it! Don't take it as... umm, take it at face value!
ReplyDeleteThere's no point even deleting it since it's already on email notification...
Oh hey look what stupid thing I do next!
ReplyDeletebtw, I wonder if I should call myself 3DPD Akira from now on. XD It seems people know me better that way.
Ahhhh the post is coming to a close'
ReplyDeleteWelp, its been fun
Oh carp, there's only about... 47? posts left! Better move to the next one quick!

@derock
ReplyDeletewhat the? I cant see my comments .-. well i can see some of them
Hi there ClosetBrony and Duskwisp! We're running out of posts, so sorry if I don't post any more replies here.
ReplyDelete@Travis,
Whether you prefer diplomacy or retaliation, I suppose the point is moot if you don't know who the person is. I'd just recommend keeping your eyes open, you might have seen the worst of it already.
Random change of subject time: I finally finished watching the Pony Anthology II, and to be honest, I thought it was a bit disappointing. There were a lot of videos in there that simply had very little humor, impact, or cleverness going for them. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed many of them, but take the Pony Odyssey vid for example—it was simply Space Odyssey with ponies, and only people familiar with that film could even appreciate it. Considering their internet demographic, I find that an odd choice (never mind the fact that it dragged on WAY too long). There were also a few in Russian which completely flew over my head, along with several others that depended on knowing some inside joke. Then you had others like "Feels Good to Be Fluttershy (A Gangsta')", which really did nothing except say that one line and then proceed to show several shots of her being aggressive. Kinda on the boring side there.
For balance, here were some highlights for me:
The "Coward Killing Time" parody (obviously)
"Adventure Time" jokes
Old-school gaming stuff
Just to be clear, I've never watched Adventure Time. The jokes worked because they were silly and understandable and stood on their own without depending too much on prior exposure.
And that is my review in a nutshell! See ya folks!
Hi Millennial Dan! Eyup, Ya'll have been busy while I was away. Though I too expressed concern about the "public-ness" (is that a word?) of our forum I don't mind staying here. My main concern was in the sharing of personal info and it getting picked up by bots (Google's or otherwise).
ReplyDeleteWe need Dr. Discord. There are only 39 comments left as of this one. Also, long time no see ClosetBrony.
ReplyDeleteI saw the premiere of Ponies The Anthology II at BronyCon, but honestly couldn't hear most of it because of the audio issues I've mentioned previously. I also missed a fair sized chunk in the middle because the presentation was broken into two parts with John de Lancie's panel in between. I need to watch it again to get an actual "good" viewing of it.
I watched Anthology II, but I had to take a break in the middle cause it was way too long. It's hard to keep one's attention for that long unless it's focused after all, but it just felt like a ton of random things for me. Like you said, it wasn't always funny.

ReplyDeleteWhat the what?!?!? Blogger hungry? Wouldn't let me fix my typo. Or fix the typo for the typo. Maybe I should quit while I'm ahead. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe post was supposed to be:
*sigh*, yeah; a bunch of work and personal issues popped up at the same time shortly after my last posting. I kept up via email which helped take my MIND off of things when needed. Which reminds me, thanks for sharing the pictures from Everfree Northwest. I'm quite jealous.
@Bombe, et all; Thanks for the stories, updates and *ahem* interesting conversations.
Well, the process I'm babysitting at work is almost done so I'm going to turn in. I still have to "go" to work in about 4 hours. G'night all!
@ClosetBrony
ReplyDeleteThere's still more from Everfree where that came from; including a world exclusive recording of Lee Tockar making up a variation on one of his characters on the spot. I'm hesitant to upload it to YouTube, though. I'm going to ask his permission first.
Anyway, goodnight!
I'm off to bed. I hope the post doesn't cap before I get back. Have a song that was remixed from a "song" in a hilarious (if frequently off color and swear-happy) YouTube show.
ReplyDeleteBack In Mississippi
Goodnight.
That was the first time in months that it took me that long to read all the comments to catch up. Seems like good times are coming back XD
ReplyDeleteKinda interesting that you should talk about getting back at high school bullies, especially last night. I play football for my high school, and there's a kid who is not necessarily just pure mean (we sometimes help each other with music. He plays guitar, but knows every single Deadmau5 song on piano simply by listening to the songs and finding the notes himself. Even the songs that were premiered at his last concert and are going to be on his next album), but he's pretty much one of the worst my school has. After football practice was over yesterday (he intentionally grabs my facemask, at which point I ditto'd the action only with his pads, sending him flying to the side), I walked back and found that he had been hit by a car, just fifteen seconds before I came to the scene. After seeing his bloodied body, I did not feel any bit of happiness as you might think. Be careful what you say about retribution.
I just realised that MandoPony released a song calles "I am no hero", which was apparantly shown live at Everfree NW. Dang, I was going to use that name......(my dj friend made a track called "I am no king" that I planned on borrowing the title of)
ReplyDeleteNow I need to hurry with my other thing if I'm going to use the clever title I thought of.
Ah, yes, the Cutie Mark Crusade Demo game. I gotta say, they put quite a bit of work into it. The music is quite nice, too. I'll probably play as Scootaloo as often as possible, though. Oh, hey, one John Joseco has also worked on the project. That looks nice.
Forgot to mention that he's fine. He just got clipped by the side of the car while jaywalking. He was running back, looked the other way and ran across the street. He got hit by just the mirror (or side) did a flip, and hit the ground hard. It was all caught on a surveillance camera. We watched it five or six times. We laughed at his stupidity. We knew that he was fine, which was why we had enjoyed it. Later that night, we went to the first "team dinner" which is every thursday, where we just go to a person's house and have a potluck-thing. Some people (me incuded) were playing a game on either side of the street, at which point the coach came out on his way to leave and told us to run across the street looking the other way.
He was forced to go to the hospital instead, and I heard that he was fine, and it was all precaution.
Oh, he got his retribution, alright. And I am pretty sure that we won't let him forget it anytime soon. He is still the resident douche of the school.
Was it a hit and run?
ReplyDeleteNope.
ReplyDelete@MyBoyJ
ReplyDeleteExcellent! But, yeah, get his permission first. Even if it's just going to be a private link.
I also think it should be a privated video on youtube.
ReplyDeleteActually, my original thought was that you put it as a private youtube video and send him a link to ask him for permission, while before that, we can watch it too if we have your permission or something.
The time is coming. It's coming to a close... eventually. Soon. So close now. You can feel it. You can even taste it. Mhmm.

ReplyDeletewelcome to the internet
he will be your guide... just give him a bit...
My final, and by far most complex, piece of art for the Newbie Artist Training Grounds II.
ReplyDeleteTF2 server going up.
Past midnight, and I'm alone at a Taco Bell in between three very close mountains. I'm pretty sure that the AM/PM gas stop across from me just got robbed. As I munch on my three bean burritos, I think to myself, "I really need some friends."
ReplyDeleteThere's a dude snorting cocaine to the right of the taco bell, and a stray mutt sleeping on the grass by the five-car parking lot. These burritos....they are satisfying to me.
Sounds lovely, Bombe.
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm off to bed. TF2 ended very early tonight because we didn't have many players and I had to fix an issue I caused myself. I'll put the server back up tomorrow to make up for it. Dr. Discord won't be back until tomorrow, so we should refrain from commenting here until he's here, considering how close we are to the end of this post. We need to send this post off right and to do that, we need Dr. Discord.
Have another song in the "Game Grumps Remix" series.
STRONG LANGUAGE
Poppy Bros
Goodnight.
I appreciate the ideas and Im going to just keep calm about it and extend the olive branch.
ReplyDeleteIf it continues past that. IT IS ON!
This might be my last post for this page until Discord gets here. Hard to believe we filled another already, time flies by so much. You know, that Yolo thing....*shot in the head*
*back from hospital* and that's how we beat Posiden back to Pluto.
Also Good Morning
I got permission from Lee Tockar to upload this video.
ReplyDeleteCheck it out.
If that video was not unlisted, Equestria Daily would be all over it!! :O (ironic how the link is on this very website)
ReplyDeleteI mean, WOAH. That was awesome....
I think you should send it to EqD. Whatever ya want, though!
ReplyDeleteThe video is now public and I've sent it to EqD. Now we play the waiting game.
ReplyDeleteI just got a random subscriber on Youtube. Looks like my 20-subscriber celebration song can actually happen.
ReplyDeleteI've tried composing my old songs (recorded with my phone) with FL studio, and dang is it tedious. A WORKING midi keyboard would shave hours of my time. The song that I'm having special difficulty with is Remnants of the Past. Hot dang, composing with layering is a right pain in the flank. There are over 100 different piano things, all with a slightly different sound. They are all stock, so I'm trying to make them sound as good as possible.
I want to be the first to comment on that Lee Tockar video when and if it gets posted.
I got a response from EqD. They said it's going into tonight's roundup.
ReplyDeleteThat random subscriber was me remembering I never subscribed to you...
ReplyDeleteAwesome! By tonight's roundup you mean in about 12 hours or so, right?
I hate time zones.
@ThunderIce
ReplyDeleteGenerally the roundup happens between 2 and 6 AM Eastern. So roughly 8-12 hours from now. Also, I set the world clock on my phone for major cities near all of you guys, so I know what time it is where you all are.
Thanks, phone!
Now, since it's just about time for the post to be wrapped up by Dr. Jaco Discord, I'll return to the actual topic of the post. I remember seeing this when it was first posted, close to a year ago now. I downloaded and installed the game, but it didn't work for me. I could never get past the title screen at the time. I just redownloaded it and I could actually play it. It seems like it's done very well, although the choice to use chopped up gibberish lines from each of the CMCs for their voices is a little odd. Beyond that, I don't understand "adventure game logic" most of the time. Apple Bloom and Scootaloo are locked in the clubhouse and the key is outside in a tree. Sweetie Belle is outside, but she can't buck the tree to get the key to fall. She just says "too bad Apple Bloom is stuck in the clubhouse; she could buck that key down." I've seen you buck a tree too, Sweetie Belle. Sure, it was a Zap Apple tree and it didn't work, but you still bucked a tree. Give it the old college try, won't you? To clarify, each of the CMCs has a unique ability: Apple Bloom can buck, Sweetie Belle can sing, and Scootaloo can fly (?!), though I've only seen her get about a foot off the ground, so that's about what she can do on the show.
ReplyDeleteThings I learned from this game:
1. Sweetie Belle thinks everything is too dangerous, even singing to a tree.
2. Scootaloo has an odd fascination with Rainbow Dash (seriously, she talks about building a shrine to her), and thinks far too many things are "lame" and refuses to do them (just put the apple picture on the bench you little..!)
3. Apple Bloom likes to kick some things that shouldn't be kicked, like poor defenseless tables ("let's show this table who's boss!"), and a picture that she thinks depicts Applejack, but she refuses to kick certain things that might progress the game.
4. Sweetie Belle is lucky that vase didn't hit her on the head. She was standing right where it landed. That was unscripted and hilarious.
Now, where's Dr. Discord?
Isn't the guy who made this GabuEx? I know that guy. He goes to some meetups in Seattle.
