      #1: Naptime at the beach? Love Pinkie Pie, sprawled out atop the others.

      #2: This makes a surprising amount of sense. Someone who knows M:TG better than I do can make a good joke here.

      #3-6: Cute series from Egophiliac; Rainbow Dash is my favorite of the ones posted here. She also has Rarity and Fluttershy in her dA account.

      #9: Clever idea, and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash look good as each other.

      #10: Simple and sweet family portrait.

      #14: One of the best portraits of Celestia I've seen in a while.

      #15: Is that a young Granny Smith? And I know Andrew Wyeth was the artist of the painting this is based on, but who ponified it? Really nice job.

      #17: Love Dinky's expression. Wonderful title, too: "Hey, I Just Got a Great Idea". I really like the mixture of affection and silliness in this drawing. Tied for my favorite drawing of the night.

      #18: This can't be canon, since they didn't know each other as fillies, but they do make a cute pair.

      #21: Very nice stargazing pic; Twilight looks like she's just about to point out an interesting constellation, and Spike actually looks awake for it.

      #22: There's no such thing as too much cute Fluttershy art.

      #25: I've never used "Hnnnng" to describe my reaction to a drawing before, but that's literally what I did, out loud, when I first saw this one. Filly Twilight is just way to adorkable in those glasses.

      #26: Looks like Fluttershy's about to laugh; it'd be nice to see some drawings of her laughing, actually.

      #27: I really like the ultra-cartoony style on this drawing, and the artist has captured the characters' personalities very well. I can certainly see Discord being able to sneak up on Twilight while she's engrossed in a book... My other favorite drawing for the night.

      #29: Gilda's looking rather sleek; it's not a bad look for her.

      #31: Who knew Rarity was such an enthusiastic football player?

      #32: The real story of how Applejack earned her cutie mark.

      #33: Nice job adapting a scene from that recent comic for a wallpaper; Rainbow Dash's expression is priceless.

      #34: So Luna and Celestia aren't the only ones who can trot through space? Twilight's looking very peaceful here.

      Here's a link to Christina's World, the painting that #15 is based on. Definitely one of the best works of art of the 20th century.

      @PortableSounds, why do you say you hate to admit you recognize that painting? Knowledge of the classics is never something to be ashamed of.

      Twilight seems like the sort of pony to play the long game, grinding her opponent down until finishing them off. Trixie, on the other hand, would probly go for the quick kill (and overkill, if possible). I haven't played Magic in years, and never had my own deck even then, so I dunno what sort of decks would favor those strategies.

      It's actually quite simple, he took a picture of his hand in front of the computer screen, then scanned it and added the pony as the top layer so that it would go over his hand, then applied an effect so that part of it would seem to go through the computer screen.

      The hardest part is still drawing the pony itself, really.

      Yeah... It's that Cartoonlion. His ponies are utterly adorable... but GOD, why does he do that to sweet little Fluttershy. I'll never get it...

      Still, his clean stuff is SO CUTE!!! I love his clean stuff! Also highly approve of normal FlutterMac. Of course, I also approve of TwiMac and LunaMac... Decisions are so hard. I say they're ponies, so is OK. Meh. Cute is cute.

      I've actually read a DerpyMac fic that I found quite charming; it's a pairing that I think works really well if Derpy is portrayed as being a little bit different from other ponies.

      I also approve! I recall reading a fic like that once. If I recall correctly, I think a few mares were trying to get Big Mac's attentions, to his silent annoyance. in the end, it was Derpy, who was simply more quietly friendly, delivering his mail, without pestering him, that won over his heart.

      At least think that's how it went. I read so many fics here that it's hard to remember what's what! LOL!

      I'm still a big fan of the 3 ships I listed. Just no way to ever pick one over the other.

      #30 - Back then, the Zebras (or ziggers if you prefer, oh ho ho I'm a regular Richard Pryor w/ the race humor) had their own water fountains and had to sit in the balcony of movie theaters. Yea, this is what I think of when I think about the 1920s. "The Nadir of American Race Relations" they call it. Imagine Applejack helping Apple Bloom throw a molotov cocktail through a Zebra church window and you get the picture.

      OK, so there've been at least two fanfics pairing up Big Macintosh and Derpy Hooves; interesting! The one I was thinking of is "Get Along Home", in which Derpy has a crush on Big Macintosh but is afraid to act on it because of her eyes and her speech problems. Big Macintosh's simple acceptance of Derpy as she is, and Carrot Top's gentle encouragement of her friend, were both heartwarming.

      It's odd; even a pairing as fitting and uplifting as this one, I really can't accept as headcanon, but I do enjoy thinking of it in an 'alternate universe' sense.
