ReplyDeleteThat wasn't too bad. It was nice to be able to watch my favourite scenes together in such quick succession.
ReplyDeleteSpike's 'NOOOOOO!' when I was focused on a different episode cracked me up, as did Sweetie Belle completely owning all the other episodes with Hush Now, Quiet Now.
It was a nice addition to my morning coffee.
I accidentally did this to myself a few days ago. I've uploaded all the episodes on to youtube, and opened them one by one to edit the video descriptions. I didn't close the tabs when I was done, and for some reason, while I was editing, they all started playing at once. Terrified my cat.

ReplyDeleteIt was actually pretty awesome. I could watch my favorite parts of my favorite episodes and completely ignore the ones that i'm not as much a fan of!
Once I saw a song happening and I started singing it in my head, my ear could pick it out of din. Art of the Dress was really hard to pick up, but I managed to get a few bars out of it.
If you stick around to the end, they all end within about 3 seconds of each other and it's a little deafening. XD

ReplyDeleteHoly crap that was a weird experience... There wasn't a single moment where less than three voices were overlapping and the only bit where they *newarly* synched up is at the end; all the episodes were timed to end within the same three seconds...
ReplyDeleteBut it was amazing! Every time you recognise a piece, all you have to do is concentrate a little and you can hear it! The Winter Wrap Up song, the Gala, even little things like 'I'm so frustrated I could just kick something!' from Fluttershy.
SO. MUCH. PONY!!
Whoever did this is a madman.

ReplyDeleteOh, by the way, I may have missed it from the deluge of pony, but did anyone else notice that amongst all 26 screens up at once, that Twilight Sparkle was NEVER off the video's screen for even one frame? If you go frame by frame, I'll bet that somewhere in all 26 screens, there's gonna be Twilight Sparkle somewhere, even if only a part of her on one of the screens at a time.
Talk about being THE Mane Character. She almost literally has more screen time than everyone else put together. I see what you did there, Team Faust.
Well... My brain didn't implode but I'm chilling out from that now. As you might say, That was a lot of Pony.

Felt like I was tripping balls on ponies. It was the most pleasant high ever. I felt I was actually there in Equestria having adventures with the ponies. Am I alive right now?

The first opening sentence is what you could make out from dialogue, then the rest is just you typing randomly, obviously your at a computer using a key board because "random button mashing" isn't always so random. For example, "IX..." is the star of ever other line or so, and you have no (or at least not many, I didnt look through em all) characters using the shift key (CAPS lock don' count bro) shall I go on? :)
Oh, and i stopes half way in..after failing to train my ears on one episode, and finally figuring out that "green isn't your color" is the BR episode...FUN

ReplyDeleteyou really get a sense for the general art and music style of the show with this. They seem to refer to a finite group of specific instruments/recordings for general background music.
ReplyDeleteAll the voices start to sound the same after a while, unless you're looking for a specific voice.
