• Urban Dictionary Word of the Day is Bronies

    Here, have a Rarity archer.

Last night I posted in the nightly news update about Urban Dictionary's current word of the day.  I keep getting emails about it, so I guess it's time to split it off!

If you head on over to their mane page, you will see bronies, with that...awful definition, and "midnight sparkle".

Looks like they have a definition for brony too!

At least it continues to spread!

    1. Midnight Sparkle; because ten seconds on Google sounds like effort.

    6. The internet is trying, at the very least, to understand us. Compromises have to be made for the sake of tolerance.

    7. Midnight Sparkle is the illegitimate child of Luna and Twilight.

      I'm 100% okay with this.

    8. Actually, that wasn't too bad.
I was expecting something more along the lines of "Gay retarded child-men." I can take "Midnight Sparkle."

    9. I think they're trolling. Dear God, I hope they're trolling.

    10. Midnight Sparkle could be Twlight's evil twin sister or something. I expect a fanfic in 10 seconds flat.

    18. I'd bet a small sum that "Midnight Sparkle" is a deliberate bit of fun-poking. It's a perfectly fine definition. :)

    19. As Kimba has already stated, Midnight Sparkle is the child of The Great and Powerful Trixie and Twilight Sparkle from the fanfiction "Out in the Cold".

    23. @pyritie I don't think anyone here meant it seriously, but what annoys me is midnight sparkle in official episode ... what?

That and that bronies could refer to female fans too in my opinion, but I think we should really make up our mind about this one, because I hate not well defined definitions :<

    24. Wasn't Midnight Sparkle the name of one of those bad recolours that Hasbro released in China a while back? Sounds like one of their failed attempts.

    25. "Bronies internet convo=

Brony "yo man, you seen the new episode last night?"
Brony 2 "totally, midnight sparkle-" MY BRAIN! *Pop*

    26. Isn't Midnight Sparkle the name of Twilight's ancestor in "Memories of Days Long Past"? I wouldn't be surprised if there is fanart of her already

    27. I think he was directly parodying Twilight Sparkle.
