• Newbie Artist Training Grounds III - Day 21

This is missing something, and I'm pretty sure I know what it is. Would also have accepted Smash Mouth, but when has anyone ever known me to go with the direct option? That's what I thought. Today is sure to get you fired up, with another 279 passionate ponies burning up the night sky. We're going supernova on this event, with a grand total to date of 7753 images! We're still on track for 10,000 total, we can make it happen!

Speaking of which, here's a quick little reminder that our second makeup gallery is still open, and it'll stay that way until the end of Friday! If you've got some missed work you'd like to turn in, or think you have it in you for another crack at our older prompts, this is your chance to prove it. Go for it with gusto! And of course if you've got any questions, feel free to hit me up at phoe@equestriadaily.com

With that out of the way... it's time to oil up! Our gallery tonight is burning, surging, full of overwhelming passion! You've reached the end of our Expression Week with the same passion, creativity, and drive that you came into it with, drawing a whole host of different ponies in different styles and interpretations, with numbers a plenty. Summer may be reaching its end, but I can still feel the heat!

And with that we've reached the climax of our third week of pony training. It's been one heck of a ride, I think you'd all agree. Starting tomorrow, our themes are going to start getting more fun and playful, expanding in scope a little to let you run around and test the limits of what you've developed so far. But for tonight, I thought it would be nice to let everyone give voice and a face to something I know a lot of you are feeling. Tonight, Draw an exhausted pony/Draw a pony burning out. Submit all entries here by 11:59 PM, Pacific time on Thursday, September 5.

A very special friend of mine has a birthday coming up, so I will be handing things over to Calpain's capable hooves through Friday, but I will be back for the weekend and together we'll ride this thing all the way to the finish line. Though you may be feeling tired, don't give up! The end is right there. Reach out for it!
