Just a reminder for those that wanted to see the MAD TV pony thing tonight (With the actual Tara Strong playing as Twilight).
It starts in a few minutes on Cartoon Network (Or already aired in some places apparently). I'm sure we will have a million Youtube rips in a bit, but for now, go watch it on the actual channel!
Watch it below!

ReplyDeleteThat doesn't make them good. That just means they know they suck and are too smug to do something about it because they think that acknowledging it gets them some sort of award for realizing they suck.
Family Guy does it all the time.

ReplyDeleteComedy should be funny.

ReplyDeleteI dont' get you're logic. "Acknowleding something exists"? That's something everyone else goes on and on about when it comes to mainstream shows and stuff showing off My Little Pony, like Teens React. Unlike Teens React, though, I can't really go there with MAD, because there's nothing bad that they're saying about MLP and Bronies, and it's actually kind of cute and funny.
Does this mean I'm lowing my standards? Maybe... But in a world that openly mocks MLP and Bronies without actually KNOWING anything about them, I'll take what I can get. At at least there was that Fluttershy joke, so it's not like they knew NOTHING about the show going into this.
"Go bronies"
ReplyDeleteOkay, MAD is officially best pony.
that was just... ok?
ReplyDeleteTINTIN'S ADVENTURES ARE NOT BORING.
ReplyDeleteThat was amazing...just...amazing.
That was... okay, it wasn't bad, but to me it wasn't that great. I thought it was cool that they had the "Go Bronies" cake, and it was awesome how Tara Strong did Twilight, but aside from that, it just wasn't that great.
ReplyDeleteThey tried to make Pinkie random... it didn't work too well. But hey, at least they said "every pony".
ReplyDeleteerm... right... confused much?
ReplyDeleteWow, that was unfunny.
ReplyDeleteI love MAD but this wasn't one of their better skits. The best parts were, ironically, the non-Pony parts. What did make me chuckle or smile are the Flutterguy part before the World War explanation, "What's a movie?", "TO FRANCE", and European = boring. Aside from that, the skit fell flat, especially when compared to Cowboy & Alien Force/Equestrians.
ReplyDeleteOn the flip-side, for those who liked the skit, want to see more MAD, or are otherwise okay with this skit, I recommend the Kitchen Nightmare Before Christmas, HOPS, Criminal Minecraft, Mouse, Celebrity Aperentice, the DaGrinchy Code, Super 80's and Twilight Staking Dawn.
Mad is terrible. The only reason you can get laughs out of this is because it's extremely easy to derive humour from parodies. Pinkie was the only funny part of that, and it certainly doesn't help that Pinkie is probably the most easily parodied character on the show possible. Putting War Horse and the Adventures of Tin Tin didn't work at all. You'd think that crossovers would be funny, but the Mad writers screw up, and continuously screw up each time they try.
ReplyDeleteI give them props for advertising bronies in a positive light though. Never see that these days. Hopefully fans of that show will be drawn to FiM and become bronies.
