ReplyDeleteCelestia must be the final final boss after that Octavia battle mix from the other day. Only this track sounds more like an epic "race against time" boss track in some kind of Fighting game than the Octavia Final Fantasy RPG boss mix.

ReplyDeleteto me number 1 and 3 sounded like random annoying noise that someone put a pony title on in hopes others will like it just for the name.
ReplyDeleteNumber 2 however was very very nice. I loved it a lot. Sounded like something an orchestra could play wonderfully some evening for Celly and me one evening in Canterlot.

Why does everyone here bash electronica so much? A lot of the stuff that get put up here is actually produced pretty well.
ReplyDeleteLike no.1 has some really awesome synths and a really nice arrangement, not to mention the melodies are catchy.
No.3 is absolutely mental. Producing it must've been a real challenge. It's got a huge variety of synth sounds, and a lot of sample manipulation.
And it's not like I'm trying to say no.2 is bad, because it most certainly isn't. PinkiePieSwear is an amazing producer, and this is no exception to his excellent track record.

ReplyDeleteI do like electronic though some people seem to think anything made by electric instrument counts. Try looking up the classic electronic music like Herby Handcock's Future Shock. that is electronic, has a good beat and is not going to cause hearing damage
I'm usually a lot into electronic music but #1 and #3 wasn't for me this time. #2 was on the other hand amazing!

ReplyDeleteI had a hard time liking #1 . . . but after a few play throughs i ended up enjoying it . . . I had a hard time grasping any kind of feeling. THe music was fast paced, and really noisy, but I sorted the sounds out. I can get a great upbeat feeling now, it does have the feeling of time running out.
ReplyDeleteI love slow paced melodies, where a singular or dual instrument does the singing. I think thats why I love instrumentals so much. #2 Was really good.
#3 was very interesting to say the least, the genre sounds like dubstep to me. Although a more eclectic form, it definitely sounds like dubstep. I wasn't too fond of this one, it didn't mix to well. But i can say it was really fun to listen too. A really giddy feeling pours from that track for sure LOL

Electronics isn't for everyone, I understand that. But I honestly did try to capture what I thought of when I imagined Celestia in a fight. Meh. Ya can't impress everypony XD
