• Toys: Applejack's Truck

Yep! That's right!  Applejack's truck is now available for purchase!

The same one she uses all the time in the show to carry her apples around! What would she do without that truck... she would have to use a wooden cart! How primitive.

She also acquired a new cut out Twilight Sparkle, similar to Scootaloo's Rainbow Dash. I guess the poor earth pony has horn envy or something.

thanks to ultramanseven for the report.

    4. Still no right hat I guess?

    5. Is that Twilight sitting there in the back of the truck? :)
And I know these toys are made for small girls, but I personally think they could make them less pink. I didn't want toys when I was young because they were blue.

    6. Did she lose another bet to Big Macintosh or something? Cos that's the only explanation I can come up with for that...travesty.

      Indeed. xD

I wonder why they gave her a truck of all things... didn't Mrs. Faust say she didn't really want them to have very much technology? Oh well, not like Hasbro listened to them anyway, 'tis a shame.

    9. Somepony should draw the stuff that appears as toys in the "real" ponyworld. Like Applejack trying to drive that ugly truck through Ponyville and making an accident. Or something.

    10. Still not as bad as Rainbow Dash inside of the remote control airplane.......

    12. I foresee Rarity buying this for her in S2. She promptly gives it to Big Macintosh.

    13. I like how the toys are made by people who obviously watch the show.

Technically, it's G3, but it's still an eyesore

    15. First scooters and now trucks? Please, please, please don't let any of these things show up in season 2. Dear Celestia!

--"Well, you see Twilight, it's not because I'm hidin' anyone or anythin', 'specially not what you might call one'a them giant space robots... aw, tarnation, it's one of them giant space robots again, I better"

    19. I went to the store a few hours ago on a quest for Tube Ponies.
I found a tube-pony-sized Scootaloo that looked very G4 with a malt shoppe playset.

Apparently, her future is neither to fly nor to scoot. It's to run a dinner for tiny ponies.

Ha, I agree. Someone needs to make some comics like this during the summer. Should be good for a laugh or two.

    22. What sucks is that if they really wanted to, Hasbro could force Lauren to shoehorn this monstrosity into the show.

Actually, now that I think about it, hearing how Applejack managed to invent the internal combustion engine and getting an explanation on why she painted the truck pink could make for an interesting, if very wtf-worthy, episode!

    27. Dat sarcasm!

lol, since when has hasbro had a clue? Maybe they will learn with time...

nah. gotta stop kidding myself like that.

      ReplyDelete
    28. Applejack isn't the type to have complicated, or pink farm equipment.

But I could see Twilight conjuring it up like the carriage from the Gala to give it to Applejack.

But what powers it? Magic? They have a Train, but it is pulled by Ponies, it doesn't seem they can grasp the idea of devices that aren't pulled by Ponies. Unless the Train broke down, then pulled by Ponies to it's destination. So if the Train actually worked, I would have no problem with the Truck in the show.

So far the only vehicle set I like is Twilight's Balloon; I hope they make Pinkie Pie's Helicopter.

A truck is one of them.

    30. It's powered by an indentured Scootaloo after her diner goes out of business and she falls into heavy debt, because tiny, penniless fillies and colts don't make for good repeat customers.

    31. I've been seeing a lot of 3.5 on clearance in my local wally worlds and tru.

Finally, I think hasbro might be willing to go all out on G4 stuff

It's the same logic that gives the Flash a motorcycle and Superman and Spiderman a sportscar.
Though to be fair Spidey did have a dunebuggy in the comics and the JLU tv Flash did have a pimped out van for no other reason than he thought it was cool idea at the time.
Here's hoping for a fighter jet for Rainbow Dash.

    36. so how is this thing powered? considering the show had a train but was pulled by a team of ponies

    39. Hasbro's marketing department is as stupid as rocks. How about actually WATCHING the show? This ignorance is technically costing them sales as the smart little girls go, "WTF is this shit?" when they see a pink, frilly truck.

    40. "What in tarnation is that?!" -- "I got it for us to carry apples in! Isn't it cute?!" -- "Applebloom, what'd I tell ya about makin' purchases without your big sister around?" -- "WHEE!"

    41. Oh, god I can just see this conversation.
Twilight Sparkle: Hey Apple Jack!... Is that a cutout of me?
Apple Jack: Um, yea. It's just for ad of a new product.
Twilight Sparkle: Ooo! It even talks. *touches it*
      Apple Jack: Twilight NO!
Cut-out Twilight: Oh Apple Jack, you're doing a great job! You're so awesome Apple Jack! You're so strong, Apple Jack! Oh, hold me Apple Jack!
Twilight Sparkle: *just stares at Apple Jack*
Apple Jack: ... I git lonely sometimes.

    45. I just realized why they don't give Applejack her hat. Its too "boyish". That's right. A show that is famous for embracing both genders will only produce cheep crap covered in pink because every little girl out there can't handle any other color. Thank you, Hasbro, for embracing stereotypes.
Thank Celestia for Lauren Faust. Without her, all the ponies would be pink and would run around giggling every episode, and we wouldn't have the show or community we know and love today.
Seriously, sometimes Hasbro is so ridiculous its painful. Eh, whatever sells, right? :|

    46. No, whatever doesn't sells.
      Pink whatever sells.
Buy your pink whatever in your nearest Hasbro(tm) installment!
Also with your pink whatever (in a pink box) buy your pink pony with pink food!
with just a 10% augment, you can get your (nearly) FREE pink manure!
Stay pink for more pink stuff by Hasbro(tm)!
      PS: We own your soul.
