GalaCon 2013 Announces Julie Basecqz

Our wonderful friends across the pond are busily planning GalaCon 2013 and they are pleased to announce the addition of the French VA for Rarity: Julie Basecqz! Check out their press note below for the full scoop.

Have you ever wondered what Rarity would sound like... in French? You're in luck! At GalaCon 2013, you'll be able to see Julie Basecqz, the voice of Rarity from My Little Pony Les amies c'est Magique! Apart from her very chic and magnifique role in the French dub of our favorite cartoon, she's also done voice work for a whole bunch of other shows, including Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Adventure Time.

We're all looking forward to meeting her!

Unicon Announces Fan Fiction Contest, Black Friday Deals

It's Black Friday, and you know what that means! Deals! Deals on ponies!

Las Pegasus' Unicon has a press release for you guys outlining their Black Friday deal on convention tickets, as well as a fan fiction contest announcement. That second bit is especially interesting, since the prizes involved include full hotel and entry compensation for Unicon 2014, an invitation to be a panelist, as well as some other goodies.

Derpy Remains Derpy in Italy

With wall eyes and name in tow, Italy has successfully preserved the original derpy in their dub of The Last Roundup. While she doesn't appear to be doing much so far in Season three, it's nice to see some love for the pegasus outside the English speaking countries!

We have also been told by someone from Galacon that the German version of the episode also names her "Derpy".  Success!

Enterplay Releasing Foil Promos for 4 Bucks Periodically

The convention promo cards from Enterplay have been popping up periodically over on their website.   So far Rainbow Dash and Applejack have both been posted for 4 bucks a pop and sold out in a matter of minutes.  If you are desperately in need of these, keep an eye on their shop.  Chances are thesy aren't the only ones of the day. 

Larrys Comic #3 Pending Cover, Variant for Issue #4 Available

Larrys Comics has revealed their pending cover issue #3 of the FiM comic (found above), complete with super heroes and  Owlicious looking vicious.  There aren't any pre-orders available for it yet as it still needs approval from Hasbro, but I'd say its one of the cooler ones we have seen.

And in other news,  issue #4 has been placed up for pre-order on Midtown Comics.   If you are on a budget and can't afford super hero ponies (or just don't want to), you might want to grab this one now, as it's a whopping $2.59.  Find it here!
