Refuge is an alternate-reality Equestria. Sort of. There are no canon characters in this world. The mane six and the princesses are long-forgotten myths, or worshipped as deities.
New Ponyville is an idyllic place in Refuge. Everything is quaint and beautiful, nopony swears, and everypony is always nice. Once a year, they invite ponies from all across the land to participate in a huge winter wrap-up festival. This is a bit odd, since nopony else does a winter wrap-up in Refuge.
In fact, New Ponyville is more than a bit odd. It’s a beacon of sweetness and light in a grimdark world. It’s TOO nice. It’s like stepping straight into a perfect fifties world. Just what IS going on? Is there more to winter wrap-up than an innocent festival?
That’s where you come in.
Each participant will write a story where their character is in New Ponyville during the festival. They discover just what's hiding under the perfect surface of the village, and how the winter wrap-up festival is involved.

Rider University Meetup

This past Sunday we hosted a Winter Wrap-Up event at Rider University! Just over 30 of us gathered in total to celebrate the end of Winter with a party and marathon of our favorite MLP episodes. We started the event by running to a local McDonald's and buying up a few dozen pony toys for everyone. We then returned to enjoy a multitude of pony themed desserts, cakes, and treats. We gave pony papercraft lessons and enjoyed singing along to our favorite songs from the show. A great time was had by all! Our facebook page can be found here.

AFK Tavern Meetup

The meetup was so much fun. I ended up getting some gifts from my
special somepony including a giant balloon. We ate food, enjoyed some
Fluttershy Mai Tais (trust me they are great), watched some pony
related videos and enjoyed a big game of Apples to Apples. After we
were done with the day, several of us went to the local Target and
Toys R Us to raid their pony aisles.

Colorado Meetup

On Saint Patrick's day, the Colorado Bronies met at the Denver Botanic Gardens. We took a tour through a magical wonderland of flowers in bloom. Afterwards, we raided a Toys R Us and ate at Fazoli's. We had way too many breadsticks. There were around 30 people who attended.

MOMOCON Meetup

What a weekend! We had a great time here at Atlanta's Momocon 2012, for the first ever Momocon Brony Meetup. On Saturday, a whole bunch of us pony fans got together on the Skyline lounge of the Marriot Marquis where the convention was being held. We had pony songs and vids up on a laptop, playing music the whole time. We had Pocket Ponies (from DeviantArtist OceanBreezeBrony) to decorate our convention badges with (a lot of the staffers took some too!). We also did a photo shoot of all the cosplayers there, some of which were really well done! My personal pictures, which has photos of at least all of the cosplayers, are in the Imgur album below.
