You might want to explain to her why exactly you are attracted to the show. Animation, writing quality, characterization, the "letter to Celestia" section are all positives that she might like. You could even contrast it to the (in my opinion) lower quality of other modern cartoons. Finally, remember that your family will last you whole lifetime, while FiM probably won't. Don't burn your bridges over one high quality cartoon show.

Great Job on makeing that remix 5o9, although Smile Rock is my favorite out of today's 3, but you won 2nd place in my ears, and it truly is a lovely remix and i enjoyed it thoroughly...and i may or may not looping it right now... You cannot prove anything! >3< ahh, i love the laid back feeling i get listening to these remixes, they really relieve the burden of every-day life.
