Someone tossed this up on Ponibooru from one of those random foreign pony magazines, specifically a French one in this case. It was translated by Kole in the comments section:
And Rarity finally walks in the ball room like a fairy princess !I guess Alicorns are becoming commonplace!
But as she gets near to the prince’s throne, she discovers … a 4 years old little pony! « Let me introduce you Leon, my little cousin. » announces Celestia.
« Today, I’ve been impressed by the strength of your dreams and by the sacrifice you made to realize Rarity’s. As a reward, I’m inviting you at a private banquet. Rarity, you’ll be able to dance all night long with … my nephew Vladimir. I heard you’d like to meet him, wouldn’t you? » The princess adds with a smirk.
There isn't a whole lot of other information on it, but it looks pretty legit from what I have seen of these magazines (Very basic vectors and edits).
(We can't link ponibooru here, it tends to die a horrible death every time)
\Thanks to Jones for the heads up!

Y'know the concept of a male Alicorn in the family doesn't bug me (new name though, please... 'Leon' makes me think of Jean Reno shooting people) What does bother me is Rarity dancing with Prince Douchebag there. I don't care if he's 'Vladimir' or whatever, that's Prince Blueblood, pure and simple. And Rarity isn't giving that moron another shot, no way, no how.
ReplyDeleteWait, who the fuck is who?
ReplyDeleteIs it Blueblood dancing with Rarity? Or lookalike(Vladimir, Leon... fuck, text is confusing)?
Gotta love slavic naming. Every name in the show is usually some character exposition, but magazine writer just went "fuck this" and gave them human names.
Also, BAAAAAAAWWWW from fandumb, it's kinda funny this time. Alicorns are coming. And I'm okay with it, if royal family turns out to be, well, proper family that's one brain-twisting enigma down. AND THAT IS FUCKING GOOD.
And the franchise wanders farther and farther from the fantastic world Lauren Faust created... *cynicism*
ReplyDeletei don't understand why people are going nuts about this. if there are more alicorns that means there are other countries in the pony world besides equestria.....is that so much of a problem?
ReplyDeletealso why would it make celestia and luna less of a god.
perhaps each set of alicorns in their respectrive countries handles a specific aspect of the world's elements. a whole parthanon of alicorn gods with celestia and luna at zeus's spot.
sun and moon, time and space, death and life, etc.
@Kole
ReplyDeleteYes, people are missing this post. It's an alternate version of the Gala.
I almost wanna wish it was Celestia's son. Either way he's so adorable!
ReplyDeleteThat little alicorn is kinda cute you ask me.
ReplyDeleteThough more seriously its becoming obvious that anything Merch related is not canon to the show. Which is generally the norm for other fandoms so help me.
...hmm...
ReplyDeleteBlueblood as a lobster would be funny. Cuz blue blood, get it? lol, sorry bad puns.
@Killsteal_Wolf
ReplyDeleteThat would be...
the
best
thing
EVER
Who really gives a damn? It is great to see more alicorns. Fanon throwing its weight around was silly especially if they consider it to be better than canon. I am 100% in support of whatever Studio B does, not what some privileged, spoiled segments of the fandom does.
ReplyDeleteWROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG.
ReplyDeleteI am fine with the Equestrian landscape to be leaning more towards matriarchy. Alicorns should be legendary creatures, if the show explains them more in detail, fine. But as things stand, the only two who should be around are the immortal Goddesses who reign over this federal duchy.
Now it seems like Blueblood and Rarity are on good terms as seen in her last visit to Canterlot, but I look at this with nothing more than a scowl. But we have to keep something in mind: this is marketed to little girls, and despite whatever we may see in Equestria, a lot of this stuff I HOPE isn't canon.
@Lorenzo..
ReplyDeleteHasbro gave us this gift of a show. I love how people like you are quick to condemn instead of look at the possibilities. Then again, all the excessive complainers can do is toss out juicy oneliners without reason.
@C.Olimar788
ReplyDelete>And the franchise wanders farther and farther from the half-baked world Lauren Faust created..
Fix'd for ya.
Seriously tho, new alicorns can make or break things.
Again, speaking strictly as a writer, I have to put this out to my fellows fans. I know this comic isn't canon but that's not what I'm going to be aiming for right now. I'm speaking solely of supplement material, stuff not in the show but are still part of the canon. How do you fans see supplement material? Is it not canon simply because it's not seen on screen? I'm asking out of curiosity so don't shoot me.
ReplyDeleteOn the basis of the Princesses are the only alicorns in canon, well, that fell apart a while ago. Someone with a good eye snapped a screencap in the actual show of an alicorn foal, obviously not royalty. It was only for two seconds during the Wonderbolts race Rarity saw with Fancy Pants. The foal was in the stands. It's been a while since I've seen the screencap but I'm sure it's easy to find. I want to say I saw it via TV Tropes but I can't be sure since it's been months.
My reaction...

@Ikkou, no it cannot. alicorns were never designated as royalty or gods, etc. You guys are creating thus fanon delusion and think it us canon. As it stands, alicorns are not going to impact anything. Do not blow it out of proportions like all the fanon complainers.
ReplyDelete@Inconspicularity
ReplyDeleteI have to ask about that. What about those of us who use alicorns outside fandom and in personal canon like my All World series? I have whole herds in my stories
This really comes off as a generalization and makes me feel like a horrible writer for including alicorns in my mythos.
The animosity radiating from the comments sections is baffling.
ReplyDelete@janaly, do not mind them. Your fanon interpretation of alicorns us as legit as any other fanon. Those wielding around Lauren Faust's name almost religiously are being zealous, dramatic jerks about it. Pay it no mind and carry on
ReplyDelete@MyBoyJ
ReplyDeleteI never meant to imply that the magazine was canon; I was mostly referring to Cadence.
Also, while Heart's Warming was based on the story app, that's still a drop in the bucket compared to the side products that didn't become canon
Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky
ReplyDelete@SteveJobs, I cannot fathom it either. I wish I did not have to go out of the way saying the fanon thing is no big deal, but I suppose the typical overdramatic doomsayers of this show and fandom needs to have a counterpoint in that most fans probably have faith in Studio B to make it right it those toys and promo characters are featured in the show. As it stands, they are not show canon yet. Whether they are canon or not, the constant complaining and doomsaying is ridiculous.
ReplyDeletethose magazine "artist" are just trolling us XD ahahahahahaha- i hate them.

@Steve Jobs My response was to the s***storm, not at the Alicorn in question.
ReplyDeleteNew Male Alicorn, and his mane is Yellow and skin color is white.
ReplyDeleteHoly mother of Buck it's like they can read my minds.
@IX
ReplyDeleteALMOST every character. Nightmare Moon's french name is «Séléniaque». I know this, because french is my main language. *smile*
I don't trust this source. I don't want alicorns everywhere, also.
The main crux of the story, I gather, is that the rest of the Mane Six have been turned to Vector by the evil Maredusa.
ReplyDeleteJésus Christ c'est quoi cette merde?
ReplyDelete'Putting Your Hoof Down' is actually about AJ finally getting a different vector image.
ReplyDeletenot cannon till show proves otherwise
ReplyDeletehints
first why would Hasbro repeat Blueblood's colors and cutie mark
note the horn is grey but the body is white (smells like bad Photoshop to me)
and third if its a colt why does it have the eyes and muzzle of a filly? (because its a RD vector they re-colored)
Well, Luna and Celestia still have magic manes.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Magic-maned ponies are the super-special thing indicative of power, and Alicorns are just a rare breed.
Rarity and Blueblood?
ReplyDelete(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Yuck, that was too frilly, even for a brony
ReplyDelete@Kole
ReplyDeleteoh so this picture is like an alternate universe where Prince BB isn't such a jerk and there's a male alicorn
nice
Simmer down folks, crazy European comics are all part of being a member of the Hasbro Family fandoms. Go look up the Transformers stuff to understand.
ReplyDelete..."Leon"
ReplyDeleteObviously non-canon pony is obvious.
Dammit Celestia how many relatives are you hiding from us?
ReplyDeleteAnd the mystery behind the royal family tree deepens.
ReplyDeletedoesn't Rarity ever learn to not meet with dicks from past episodes
ReplyDeleteWell, that set off an internet shitstorm.

Starting to look like the Transformers and Sonic fanbase up in here. So much rage over one alicorn? Calm the fuck down. kthx.
ReplyDeleteI find I'm more bothered by the image of two ponies dancing bipedally.
ReplyDeleteA pony with a human's name?
ReplyDeleteVladimir, hmmmm.
Prince Blueblood got his wings cut off. AWESOME!
ReplyDelete@hyreia He's actually Blueblood's mutant clone... in 1/8 scale!
ReplyDeleteBlueblood: I shall call him, Little Blue. No no little Blue, we do not eat Rarity's kitty. Now, I might be tempted to eat her... *glares at writer* You sir, are a pervert. I refuse to stoop to such a level!
*writer* Stuck up prick. >:/
Vladimir? Fuck, Stalliongrad really DOES exist! I thought that was just some sort of troll edit!
ReplyDelete>>now suddenly wants FPSRussia as a Fallout Pony.
Male Pinkie Pie, but with guns instead of party horns. That will end totally fine and well.
I think this will be part of the season 3 opening.
ReplyDeleteVladamir? Sounds a little too badass and evil for Prince Douchebag.
ReplyDeleteI for one am not gonna take this pile of shitty vectors seriously. Sorry if that sounded rude but this stuff is just ridiculous...
ReplyDeleteDid somepony wipe Rarity's memory about Blueblood?
ReplyDeleteAgh! Human poses! WWWWHHHYYYYYY!!!!????
ReplyDeleteAlso, F minus minus for getting Blueblood's name wrong and making an alicorn colt that looks almost exactly like him. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how Cadence can be an Alicorn.
However, this is a positive portrayal of Blueblood from an official source, so that amuses me if for no other reason than because it pisses off all the bronies who think Blueblood is the devil while Trixie and Gilda are god. :p
Okay, WHY does Blueblood have a Harry Potter scar?
ReplyDeleteThanks Banjo, you just doomed us forever with endless crossover material by pointing that out.
ReplyDeleteMore than usual I mean.
What ever. What the fuck ever.
