Well that was rather short, but still some interesting pictures, including the two odd poses of Fluttershy and Twilight...Fluttershy blushing looked more like an anthro than a full pony, while Twilight just looked exasperated hanging off the bed like that. I don't blame her.

Kind of a short one today. But I don't mind. As long as I get my daily dose of drawing awesomeness. Been away from these for while, but this time, I Pinkie promise to at least give some kind of review every day no matter what the time. You guys put out awesomeness every day and deserve some kind of feedback. But I digress. On with the drawings:

This is the VERY FIRST Drawfriend without a single instance of Derpy since at least The Last Roundup.
Since The Last Roundup aired of Jan 21st, and today's Feb 20th, that means it took an entire month for the Derpy hype to go down enough for a non-Derpy Drawfriend.
I can't believe I paid attention for this long.
All of them were good, but I liked 12 and 24.
Number 1 actually reminds me of Odin Sphere. It has that same kind of painterly aspect about it.

Okay, let's look at some ponies...
1) Really a beautiful forest landscape with a very pretty pony in it. Love the expanse of grass and leaves, and the butterflies in the air. Really nice style.
2) It's a little creepy, having someone watch you sleep, but It's a lovely image of Celestia watchign over Luna anyway. I see Luna studies much like Twilight does... with books and things everywhere.
3) Still like it.
4) Pinkie looks awfully smug, and Twilight looks awfully spooked. Nice cartooning. In truth, anytime I've actually seen shipping between these two, that's pretty much how it works out.
5) They can hang with Beatnik Rarity! I really like this one quite a bit.
6) Oh, a very cool Twilight, in a slightly different style. Is that a quill behind her ear, or someone particular's feather?
7) An elegant Cheerilee. She's one pony I'm always happy to see more of.
8) Seriously, Discord is in romantic pictures more often than villainous ones. What's up with that? Still, I suppose if anyone could reform him...
9) I will, Pinkie. Count on it. Nicely shaded.
10) Aw... they're even adorable together as fillies.
11) My, Fluttershy is getting curvy. And slightly embarrassed. Like the butterfly backdrop.

#19 Is this a prussian (1914-1918), or an wehrmachts (1933-1945) solider riding on Rainbow Dash? One would be a symbol for the Kaiserreich (started the First) and the other for the Nazis (started Second World War). Irritating and in some kind of way pervert piece of art (old german militarism vs rainbow ... WTF?). Sure that this is the right choice for a drawfriend?

@MyBoyJI have no idea why, but those pictures always creeped me out a lot more than the actual ride did as a kid. It was like, they were about to die, obviously, but they looked so peaceful in all the pictures (the actual pictures, not these versions), which was just unnerving.
Yeah, on 1 I was all like "what a pretty twilight Sparkle, but her hilights are wrong-wait, where's her horn, wait, where's her cutie mark? who the hell is this!?"

Glad to see #27 didn't cause more of a ruckus. I get annoyed at how some people insist Dash must be a lesbian because she's a tomboy bedecked with rainbows, and I get the feeling the author of that tumblr would classify me with the haters as a result, but whatever, to each their own.

Nah, not unless you're hatin' on actual living people. Until something gets explicitly stated in the show, it's all just fandom, and one speculation is as valid as any other. So far there have been, what- FOUR actual established "relationships"? The Cakes, Cranky and Matilda, Twilight and Pinkie's parents... that's about it. I think if the show were going to have an overall opinion on hetero/homo/bi/whatever, it would almost certainly come down on the side of, y'know, friendship and inclusiveness, but Lauren Herself specifically said from the beginning that she didn't want sappy boyfriend/girlfriend nonsense to be a significant part of the show. Dash is canonically just a tomboy until an aired episode says otherwise.
I think every artist here can agree, though, that we all look sad next to #26. Jeez, that's just incredible.
