good false chord screams for the third, but I hate the inverted fry/pigsqueal style. Sorry, the high's just weren't there for me, if it was proper vocal fry it probably would have had more "punch" and less "gargle". But honestly, this is still the overall best song I've heard so far in terms of metal.

ReplyDeleteWell, an instrumental version of the 3rd one might be nice. I could never understand the need of modulating voice like that. Especially when all these satan-worshiping metal guys are usually tiny and skinny ;)

Liked #1. #3 was alright, though not my favorite style of music.
ReplyDelete#2, just did not grab me. The lyrics didn't really fit with the title, other than the chorus, as with the title would of expected more of a focus around Luna and/or Nightmare Moon. Plus it sounds extremely slow, and with the length it dragged on. It might of worked better if the song was shorter, as if you compare the pacing between #1 and 2, even though 1 is actually longer, 2 feels much longer than it should. Was descent, though might be able to be improved on.
I was so disappointed by number two, I love R.E.M. and the lyrics sound awful, though the words are clever I just can't listen to it. So much potential. If the maker fixes up how the singing sounds in number two it could be amazing. Nobody knows how disappointed I am :( I wish I could be nice about this but I can't.
