the first word can't be song. "and yes, there will be song from evil/main characters," doesn't sound or really even look right without an "a" in there. The main fits that I've seen here are More and Love. I'm doubting love for obvious reasons so the first word is certainly more.

ReplyDeleteThe third word seems like the wild card to me more than the second. "Ship" would be the ultimate troll, but "Prin" could be an abbreviation for Princess, and I would definitely love to see more of Luna and Celestia.
All of the letters are posted as lower case, but does that rule out the possibility of an acronym?
Although more from main/evil characters fit, it's still unnecessary to point out that we will see the main characters in a three-parter, or villains for that matter. It is so obvious that giving us a hint stating this would be completely wasted.

ReplyDeleteactually, if we consider it a password with roughly 22 letters, making no other assumptions, this could forseeably take years to work out on a supercomputer. And that's assuming there's some reasonable way of knowing for sure whether the answer is correct.
Assumptions it is then; without them, there's no hope of solving this in a reasonable ammount of time.

"Song from main characters" seems most likely, And the fact that it doesn't fit gramatically isn't an issue. The rest of the text is somewhat broken english, it's expectable that the end is too.
ReplyDeleteAnd suggestions of Derpy/trixie/dj pon3/octavia/fan-made ponies joining the main 6 are incredibly unlikely to the point of impossible. Lauren Faust stated in her FAQ lately that they can't put fan-made ponies or stories into the show, too many legal issues.
Suggestions of having grimdark episodes or love is also out of the question, Hasbro have stated that the show is still primarily aimed at their target age group. They have said if they try and aim at bronies, they'll lose their younger female fanbase and they'll probably lose the bronies too.

I thought that the last three episodes we're speculating about were, you know, 24-25-26, (because I based my thoughts on the idea that the Discord episodes were made in Season 2, but now that I remember it better I was wrong) but apparently the season will end in this made-for-TV-movie, which is 3 episodes from a show together, nothing else. Hmm, that sounds actually really nice.

In the first episode of Season 2 Celestia admits that she is not connected to the Elements of Harmony any more, implying that she once was a part of it.
The event that could have broken her bond to the elements of harmony might have been her sending her sister Luna (another possible candidate for one of the elements?) to the moon.
Thus we finally get a glimpse of the former Elements of Harmony: Celestia, (possibly) Luna plus...
... four (!) more ponies.
Going even further from that, the story, being an extended three parter, could revolve around the friendship of the current elements faltering and growing weaker.
To prevent a catastrohpic event from happening (Nightmare, Discord returning, Mecha Rainbow Dash, Cupcakes, take your pick) the former elements must aid the current elements in redefining their friendship.
You people haven't realized it yet, but you should have combined phrases! There will be a song from evil characters!

One thing to consider about "26, 27, 28" is that in Italy, each half hour episode is split into two broadcast episodes. She could be talking about episodes 13 & 14.

ReplyDeleteLooking at the thread on MLP Arena, the secret is apparently huge. And it's going to make a lot of people happy. So in this case, I don't think it has anything to do with evil characters. Two of the words had been figured out by page 5, but which two (of course) weren't clarified.

I highly doubt that it's about songs. We know the show is gonna have songs anyway, so why hide it? I also highly doubt it's anything as simple as "more from main characters" since we get that in EVERY episode. Toys from evil characters? Possibly. The grammar isn't perfect there, but the same can be said for the rest of the post.

The info about episodes could be misleading. Maybe it isn't related to the code at all. There is a possibility that it is about the toys, not the episodes.

This is a decent start, as no other words make sense for the last word. Now as for the first, look at the list of possible words and strike out the words that would not flow with the sentence.

The message can't be something like "More from main characters", because that isn't that big. We already have that.
We have to think inside the chimney for this one guys, try to use 'more' as the first word. And remember, it has to be HUGE.

ReplyDeleteWell, we agree on character because almost all of the options, like "carjacker," don't make any sense. Similarly, I think we can eliminate nearly all of the options for the other words, as well. I mean, believe you me, I want the season to end with "Cock oral shit commanders," "roto trug psis chinaberry," "Hobo orgy spit containers," &c. as much as the next pony, but I don't think it's gonna happen. We can probably cut it way, way down.
For the first word, going from Viethra's list, these seem like the only reasonable ones (the ones that aren't really obscure words like "loge", aren't totally insane like "tofu", and make some sort of grammatical sense):

I haven't done the other word combinations yet, but based on how the first word is, by far, the largest, I'd guess that the second/third ones only have about 40 combinations, maybe 10 good ones. And of course the fourth can't really be anything other than "character".
It's interesting that the code is prefaced by "and yes." That makes it sound like they're confirming something we've long suspected or asked about.

"MORE from X characters" seems to imply that an old character returns, rather than that a new one appears. Theissen mentioned at Bronycon Septmeber that he wanted to work with John de Lancie again...

John DeLancie is happy to do it. Discord is the only seriously evil character with huge popularity maximizing on both the main target audience and the brony target audience. That would be a secret, where songs are not, and the introduction of new villains is not (much less four of them). Can't introduce four mane cast characters because the cast is balanced carefully as it is.

It's absolutely important to remember HOW it's being said. Even if words fit and makes sense, you have to think whether or not you would word it that way.
ReplyDeleteFor example, "more from evil characters" doesn't make sense because anyone who would try to hint at that would not have said "from", as the wording is extremely peculiar. In addition, "villains" would easily replace "evil characters". "More form evil characters" just does not sound like a hint someone could give at all.
