I've waited over five minutes for the dang video to load up so I can watch it.
I'm okay with waiting this long (and however many more minutes for the rest of it to load up so I can watch it w/o any delays) to watch a one minute clip...
it is only 10 or so hrs from the premiere and im staying away from ANYTHING that will spoil it, i wont even read the comments after i post this. just gonna head to the garage and work out for a while, then imma turn the tv on and watch the show, nothing more nothing less

But yea, I definitely noticed that in the clip and got a good laugh from it.
The video player works it's just really slow and loads a couple of seconds at a time. Either be prepared to wait like 7 minutes or just skip this clip.
NBPony.... With the airship in "Sweet and Elite" I'd say 1910. But... No telephone or radio yet. Maybe Equestria's magic produces too much static. (Pinkie Pie's singing telegram? But no other evidence that that exists.)

Considering the fact that the world of Equestria is populated by ponies, it's to be expected that their technology developed along different lines from real world technology.
Confound those fast-travel loading screens, they drive me to wonder how I travel!
But seriously, where'd the train to Canterlot come from? This is the only time I've been bothered by anything that's mysteriously popped up in the show that shouldn't be there. I mean there's ARE trains (Appleloosa and Ponyville of recent) but they managed to get a line all the way to Canterlot while going through a mountain! Only answer to that would be that Celestia had a hoof in it's construction. Also, did anyone notice the rich couple at the trainstop? They had their heads almost 90 degrees up! Talk about stuck up!
Re: technology, I think it's a mixture of several different times of technologies. For example, they have guns, electricity, steam trains, and tanks, among other things. But they don't have things like internal combustion engines, cars, planes, computers, TV, radio, ect. So it looks like it's a mix between having some modern tech, but not the really... "futuristic" tech.
Things I noticed... Derpys in the train, Its a steam powered train like in the opening, Scootaloo stuck to a candy cane. Pinkie Pie, your still random.

BTW they didn't even have snow for winter wrap-up. I imagine it's just an effect they can put over all the other animation once it's done... Also, the other animation is ornate; it looks like they put lots of work into everything. The FIM team has outdone themselves again!
