Its good, but I have a few minor suggestions/criticisms:
One, Rarity needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two, whenever Rarity's not onscreen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Rarity"? Three...
The characters are portrayed incredibly well, and the entire thing's written like it was taken right out of the show. I'm looking forward to the rest of this!

Yes it takes place after the movie, and no, it will not be based on the video game(s), which I am afraid I have not played.
While this story is chaping up to be a frightful romp of comedic proportions, I have to ask: What are the other mystery doors supposed to represent? My guesses are Clifford, for the paw print, but I don't recognize the Blue white shield and guns (Captain America? Modern Warfare? Huh?) or the stern clockwork face (gears of war? No idea.)
Please note: This will be awesome. And now I have to dig out the old VHS...

Okay, this chapter was indeed different. Rarity goes all Nightmare Rarity, Rainbow Dash becomes her loyal Shadowbolt, and the rest of the mane six are getting affected by the magic of Halloweentown?
And I love the musical number!
Wow! Just, wow! Ch2 was even better than Ch1, and that song in the middle was *so awesome*!
I really liked the plot twist of making the Mane 6 act like their costumed counterparts. Very clever move, and I can honestly say I've got no idea where this is going to go. I eagerly await your next update!

Ugh, I can't believe I am saying this.
I would really love if the authors would post google doc versions of these stories. FIMFICTION and FANFICTION are a pain in the fricken flank to download the stories from. I mean how hard is it to have a website download a .txt file in the original format so an app other than windows wordpad or works or anything like that to be able to read it properly. Try it, go to the story, or any story on FIMFICTION. Download the story via the download button and open it on any device that reads text documents. Even try the windows txt viewer or wordpad. In windows notepad and any other text device you will get no formatting whatsoever. It looks like a preschoolers wall o text. On any app higher than that it will open up somewhat formatted with a bunch or garbage and trash characters everywhere. And what did the fimfiction site mods tell me. We will look into it, a few months ago and yet I still saw no change. I have yet to download a single story from either of those two web sites as of late. I dont read them from the web site. I read them from my android phone. The only way I can get fics offa those sites formatted properly is to drag over and copy the text. Try it and see how agonizingly slow it is to do that. Make a new txt, file paste it in. Save it, rename the name so it will organize in a folder and do that for a 20 chapter story like Past Sins, Fallout Equestria, Antipodes. It's irritating to the say the least. I will deal with the clunky Google Docs over doing that any day.

It downloads it as txt. What do you expect? Plain text files HAVE NO formatting.
It's true though, would be nicer if you could download it as the same HTML that's shown on the page. I just save the bare html page and then edit it to cut out the actual story part myself.
I just read the third chapter again, and I like the bit with poor Fluttershy (Fluttertree?) getting hit on by the Halloween Tree.
But I wonder -- does that mean that the Halloween Tree has wood for Fluttertree? (Forgive me, my sister was watching her Beavis & Butt-head collection and the idiocy proved infectious...)

Oh, that ending! I love the duels between Twi and Rarity on one hoof, and Luna and Tia on the other. It's really a funny story, and it's oddly appropriate that the last chapter came a week before Christmas.
