Also, an idea that's been bouncing around my head the past couple days: what would you think of an action/plot (storyline, not that...) centered spinoff of the show with a running arc throughout the series? In my idea, the princesses would be overthrown, banished to the moon/sun, and replaced by an evil tyrant. The mane 6 would be vigilantes, trying to restore Celestia and Luna to power an discovering the powers hidden in the EoH. Can the fandom get too big for it's own good? We are rapidly expanding, and for some reason, I keep feeling as if there's going to be too much going on with bronies on the net, and that lots of content will start to be overlooked. Like the logistics of RD's Rainbow Tail after a sonic rainboom, or Spitfire and Soarin's thunder cloud tail when flying. And if any other kind of weather condiiton is possible.

2.)Do the high visual and physical intensity(sonic rain-bomb) and cartoon violence take away from the MLP's naturally light-hearted nature?
3.)Fluttershy versing the bear. Did you feel this was completely out of character for Fluttershy or did you feel that Fluttershy was completely capable of doing this.
4.)Do any of you feel that MLP is turning from an Amazing awesome educational girls show into a decent guy cartoon?
They all basically ask the same question. I think MLP is losing its girly touch and the characters seem high-strung and very physical. I can't recall a calm scene in the recent episodes where two ponies were simply having a conversation with each other about a certain problem.(ew, gay right?)
tl;dr
For Season 2, I fear that we'll be laughing our asses off more than forming emotional connections with the characters.

B> If you compare the build of the balloons Discord uses in the Balloon Garden scene to the balloons shown in almost any season one episode (Or even the balloons Pinkie brings to the picnic in Lesson Zero), there's an obvious difference between them. What does this mean? Are they implying Canterlot gets all the good stuff, while Ponyville doesn't? Does Pinkie only buy the smaller, cheaper looking things because they remind her how she got her cutie mark? Does magic just automatically result in better balloons? Was it done to prevent drawing focus to them in episode where they're unimportant VS the scene where they *are* the scene? Discuss.
C> At no point in the show have we ever seen a main-six pop a balloon. So far we've had Gilda do it, who was implied to be a bad personality. The dragon in Dragonshy does this, clearly bothered by Pinkie's presence. All of Discord's balloons disappear in a manner akin to popping, but not quite. Possibly due to Discord's own magic? Pokey Pierce does this as well in Call of the Cutie. Are they implying he's not a friendly pony? Do you think the main six would be incapable of popping a balloon if they tried? Does this apply to Pinkamena?

I had that same thought! The EXACT same characters! You saw that image too, didn't you? "Backgrounds are Folklore" or something like that. Probably make a fanfic or fan animation if I can get to it. So what'll it be? My Little Pony: Independance is Strength? Elements of Resonance? And working for Princess Luna to free her sister and fight against the Spirit of Oppression? While helping themselves other out, learning the important of self-reliance? To depend on yourself while letting others rely on you?

My question is similar to what Tr4ffic Lights said, but I really think it deserves some attention.
The new season is a lot more busy. Like Tr4ffic Lights said, there's never really a time in the new season that it's just calm. In season one, the mane six (to me) represented six different archetypes of people. In the new episodes, they often seem like self parodies.
How do you feel about the updated visuals? The new intro has so much more going. A train running through the middle of ponyville? Do you like the new fancy glow for unicorn magic compared to the more subtle glow in season 1?
What's it like running the site? does blogger have tools that let you shape posts, or do you have to code some stuff yourselves? Does blogger even let you do that?

How do you feel about the doom-criers that have been popping up here and there saying that a given season 2 episode is inferior to season 1?
I read someone who claimed that all the craziness involved in these three episodes destroyed all the basic foundations that season 1 created, and instead of the ponies we know and love, we have received parodies and mere suggestions of the ponies we once knew.
I don't necessarily believe that (Lesson Zero for best episode), but I'm asking what do you think about that whole thought process?

Read the fanfic Celestia's Notebook, for what I think is one of the most in depth theories of pony earth physics. It depicts a very cool origin story for the alicorns, and for the reason nature seems to be so dependent on ponies. Word of warning, it's written, quite literally, as Celestia's personal notebook, like a diary/research journal. I tend to go with the theory that they need to bump the planet's spin every 12 hours, like that story depicts. The moon's orbit was synchronized with the day night cycle to simplify it's operation so one pony could manage it and to better time the manual management of nature to it's cycles. That's the theory I like, which makes Celestia's Notebook, my favorite fanon origin story for modern Equestria, though I'm also a huge fan of Paradise, and would LOVE to see it update sometime this millennium. The sun and moon have not been addressed yet in that fanfic.
I personally tend to favor Celestia and Luna as regular ponies who have been ascended to alicorns by either experimental magic or by a destined fate rendered by an unknown power. I also find the idea that all ponies were once alicorns, but the race was somehow split... that works for me too. I tend to be a little apprehensive of stories that deify the two ponies. I'll read them from time to time, but they are not my favorite.
I'd love to hear the thoughts of the EqD crew regarding your views of the two princesses, not to mention the theories of beings like Discord, and Nightmare Moon, as I've heard many theories that Luna was in some way "infected" by the nightmare. Hasn't the production team stated that they sorta intended that Luna was affected by something that either latched onto jealousy or caused it?
