Looks like Sibsy was right- there is going to be a gap between this two-parter with Discord and the rest of season two. How big of a gap is uncertain at this point, but if we survived the entire summer without new pony, I'm sure we can manage a month or two with only this so-far fabulous two-parter to hold us over.

If it's not listed, that means it's not coming on. Part 1 of the The Return of Harmony is in the weekly timeslot. As the one who took the picture, I can tell you that I can see a set in stone TV schedule up to 12-13 days ahead on my DVR. I'm betting that Part two will re-run the next week after that as well.

This is a total lie, and is completely not true. The listings for The HUB on Saturday the 24th at 6AM PST(GMT-8) and 6:30AM PST(GMT-8) are both set to "The Return of Harmony: Part 2" and feature a summary of the episode.

Before we were told EXACTLY when season 2 was starting, we were prepared to wait until December or some nonsense for our ponies to return. Giving us a date for an entire freaking season and only delivering 2 episodes is a real dick move.
This makes me want to skip season 3's premier next year, which means I'll have to leave EQD for over a month to get away from the spoilers... How could I have predicted that some people would see this and start whining and bitching? Good God, some of the people commenting seem to think that Hasbro are doing this deliberately to piss them off. The internet is a selfish place, where people get an elevated sense of self-worth.
To my knowledge they gave us the Return of Harmony episodes early as a taster for season 2. I heard that season 2 will be airing properly mid-October. It's hardly that long to wait, really. They gave us the episodes early; you may consider this a mixed blessing, but be grateful that you got any ponies. They could have either aired the Return of Harmony in mid-October and then aired the rest of the episodes every week after, or they could release the Return of Harmony a few weeks before (and, given that the episode was originally intended to be part of season 1 anyway, this isn't that difficult to accept) and give the fans something to tide them over until the season airs properly.
Funnily enough, it's not the end of the world that the episodes are coming a little later.
Dang, that's disappointing. But as other people have said, patience is important here. I really hope that the older fans can take this news better than the little people this show is primarily targeted at.
I'm sure I"ll have watched the two parter a dozen times or so by the time season 2.1 starts...

I have waited for over THREE MONTHS for episode 13 of Wakfu's season two to air and be translated. I've also been waiting a month for Homestuck's End of Act flash that has a cliffhanger at a pivotal point in the story.

You have another episode this Saturday coming, and then more maybe a few more weeks wait after that. If you can't emotionally deal with that, then you should probably be attending some sort of therapy for your anger/stress issues.

Nah, it's not getting canceled.
Because episodes are still in production (and will be until December), they are giving the studio enough lead time to get several episodes in the can before they air, which should hopefully lead to less breaks later on in the season.
During Season One, there there were at least two breaks during the season. New episodes didn't show for two weeks in a row over Christmas/New Year's, probably to give the hard-working production staff a break to spend time with family and friends over the holidays. There was another break Over a Barrel and a A Bird in the Hoof. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see similar breaks this year, too. :)
