Pinkie Pie Tricycle

Source: Alex
No merchandise is safe form the pony armada!   Even sports equipment is ponified with these crazy equines at the helm.  I wonder if there is a matching helmet floating around though?  I think that would be a given.

This trike was found in New Zealand for $100 at a store called "The Warehouse".  If any of you are midgets, or actually from the target demographic, you might want to head over there and buy one so we can all see what it looks like in action!

Preferably with Pinkie Pie shirt, Pinkie Pie Socks, Pinkie Pie wig, Pinkie Pie shoes, and a Pinkie Pie lunchbox/canteen strapped to your back with a Pinkie Pie bungee cord.  Do it!

Is there an adult version?

Pegasi said...

Why would you want this? Seriously!
Also, 100 bucks for a shitty pink tricycle?

Basharoonskis said...

I would ride that shit to and from school every god damn day of the year. Too bad I don't live in New Zealand.

Anonymous said...

Damnit, bronies restrain yourself. I dont wanna see 20 something old men riding a little girls trike.

Pegasi said...

@Anonymous

My thoughts exactly...

What is wrong with this fandom?

8ftmetalhead said...

I just happened to be looking for weather stripping when I found it. Negatory on the matching helmet, though I did look.

Anonymous said...

Sorry if this is cruel, but a midget brony would make my day. XD.

sewagebiscuit said...

Jsyk, 100 NZD is only, like, 65 bucks here in the states. But for that price, it should still be made of sterling silver.

Jay Mann said...

@Pegasi

It's in Australian money. So, approx. $10.

@Pegasi

I realize that this show has captured an audience that yearns for the days of quality cartons, but I think sometimes, this obsession can go overboard. I just find it creepy how whenever Hasbro announces a new product FOR LITTLE GIRLS, Bronies HAVE to own it. The socks, the panties, a trike? Im sorry, but this is now bordering on pedophilia. Grown men wanting to act little girls is just variant types of wrong.

Pegasi said...

Second thought, a midget would be hilarious. :D

Just imagine Minime from AustinPowers on that thing.

M1Abrams said...

I'm all for the hilarious merch for the target demographic (And to be fair, with all the attention we've been getting from the folks over at Hasbro and the production staff on the show. Can we really define the target demographic as really being JUST for the wee lasses anymore?)

But where is my damn Brony merchandise! I mean yeah I got my Brony shirt, but I want a Pinkie Pie trailer hitch cover for my F150 or something equally as awesome!

Anonymous said...

Maybe if it were a 24-speed carbon fiber multipurpose bike with extra shock absorbers I would buy it for $2000. Heck, I'd use it instead of a car, if it were well-built.

Anonymous said...

First guy to ride this thing around in public while wearing "deal with it" shades wins 1000 internets.

Video evidence is required of course.

Pegasi said...

@Anonymous

I agree that this is messed up, but I don't seen how this would make you e pedophile...

Star Winged Brit said...

I thought if Pinkie would adorn the front of a vehicle it would surely be a pogo stick, so one could gat from point A to B in the same way she would.

Sandman said...

@Anon 6:03PM & Pegasi

While a ~20y.o. guy *buying* the trike would be questionable unless as a gift, I think seeing them just sitting on it, much less trying to ride one would be funny as all get out.
Those things are so tiny in comparison that it's like riding one of those little clown bicycles.

UGH HASBRO Y NO PINKIE PIE POGO STICK?!

$100 for a lump of purple and pink plastic? That's just disgusting.

pmcollectorboy said...

Right. -.- Now where's my Twilight Sparkle surfboard?

Anonymous said...

@Pegasi

Well, it wouldnt make bronies pedophiles (persay), but it would make them LOOK like pedophiles to the general public if people are witnessing older men indulging little girl clothing and merchandise. The fanart, the fan games, the fan music. That's cool, but in terms of retaining any dignity towards the MLP fanbase, its best just to focus on the aforementioned instead of degrading ourselves and soiling the good nature of the community.

TenchiFreak5 said...

Can I equip it with a Pinkie Pie gas motor and Pinkie Pie disc brakes (not that brakes would really matter when the wheels are plastic).

It would be fun as hell to ride then, though surely in an unbelievably dangerous fashion.

frederic said...

Dear OP, you can see it right there inaction...

8ftmetalhead said...

Such are prices of certain items in new zealand. Shipping's a bitch when you're off the ass end of australia.

Also, it'd be about 80 USD at the moment, because of the weak USD and strong NZD.

Despite this, we see little in the way of a price decrease, we have to order shit ourselves. NZ stores are pretty gross like that.
Still, the fact that they have blind bags is really awesome :)

X-Playsomegames said...

Hahahha. Oh silly people saying were creepy.

Remember this isn't the first time a female child's show captured the adult audience. Remember Totally Spies? Or maybe Power Puff Girls? :3

Ryan said...

Remember, Hasbro has been known for having their brands to spread out far apart from just creating toys such as t-shirts, towels, video games, even tricycles like this by following their brand blueprint. A good example would be the Transformers franchise (which is making $4B!).

They are still targeting the main audience of the My Little Pony series. However, I wouldn't mind buying suitable for an older audience like novel books, show-accurate toys - or make the merchandise gender neutral, suitable to both genders.

Check out the corporate stuff in this link to see what I mean:

Particularly, check out "Nov 9, 2010 - Hasbro, Inc. Investor Day".

Actually, screw the Twilight Sparkle surfboard. I want a Friendship is Magic tour bus.

I'm just imagining a group of Bronies at a Brony Meet all riding around on these... oh goodness. lol

thehivemind33 said...

Now we just need a Pinkie Pie Motorcycle.
Anyways, I know what I'm getting my little cousin for her birthday! :)

Desigos said...

Eventually they are going to realize the goldmine of money they are sitting on, and make some official, show-accurate, adult merch. And that day will be awesome.

thehivemind33 said...

Motorcycles in the color scheme of the mane cast.
My life would never be the same.

Erm... I'm detecting a distinct lack of pants in that particular outfit. And the resulting mental image bothers me. Greatly.

Fallin' Winter said...

Wouldn't be willing to pay money for that. Unless my friends bought it for me as a gag gift. In which case, I'd be riding around on that thing all the time because I'm probably short enough to ride it although somewhat uncomfortably.

Timey Wimey said...

The trouble with tricycles, especially ones that are mostly plastic like this, is that there's a non-negotiable weight limit.

Hasbro's marketing is unlikely to cater to Bronies; there won't be enough sales volume for mass-marketed items.

The Brony market is better addressed with lower volume, higher markup items. For years now there's been a collectors' market for miniature vinyl figures. If someone licensed show-accurate figures and sold them through specialty shops (comic book stores) we'd buy them!

Anonymous said...

Lol all the people freaking out. Guys, it's a trike. Someone saw it at a store, and emailed Seth. This does not mean that everyone is going to go out and buy one. Jeez.

Anonymous said...

It's also in Australia at Big W. I took a picture of it and posted it on the MLP facebook page weeks ago and now people care?!?!

ShadowCell said...

not pictured is the boombox built in that loops the chorus to "Ridin'"

UniDL said...

Yeah, I have to say, it;s the people freaking out who are bringing real shame to the fandom. I'll buy whatever I very well please, if it's to support the show.

Anonymous said...

Everything seems to involve Pinkie Pie. She's taking over the world.

mr-mushy said...

@Jay Mann

Not sure if trolling or just stupid.

NZD and AUD are totally different currencies.

Stellar Wind said...

I wanted this as a cosplay accesory (Scootaloo!) but dammit. That price. :(

pinkie pie gets all the cool vehicles

KShrike said...

Do I seriously see what I think I see?
Yup. Twilight vector of stupidity.

Doesn't Hasbro have access to OTHER vectors involving Twilight????????????????????????

sauron said...

I will ride that to gamestop and buy gears of war3 with a stormtrooper costume.

Anonymous said...

I don't care if I'm 6'2", I would ride this every where.

David Reinold said...

This is the first time since I started watching the show that I've really just wanted MLP merch to stop existing.

No brony over the age of 10 will be fucked up enough to buy a $100 baby tricycle. Who's bright idea was it to put a $100 pricetag on a child's toy that is 75% plastic?!

Blue fox said...

1. In-large.
2. Add motor.
3. ?????
4. profit.

8ftmetalhead said...

@helldiver450

All the other trikes that were there were also 100 dollars.

It's just how things go in new zealand. Certain things get huge market, other things don't.

I have seen a pony helmet with Celestia on it, not sure where though...

curse you little kids, getting all the cool toys.

You know what I want? A remote-control Scootaloo toy buzzing around on her scooter. So awesome.

Carletta's Corner. said...

There's two things I must say:

First: NZ is also selling trikes withOUT handles.

Second: I'm gonna love and tolerate the shit out of you. Why? Little person Brony (female no less) representing. Maybe I should call myself a Shetland Brony? ;)

Manjoft said...

I can't help but think that if a someone outside the target demographic were to buy one, and miraculously be able to ride it... I think that they would be blaring from a stereo "They see me rollin', they hatin'", at regular intervals.

Anonymous said...

I'm not a 30 year old man, so I might be able to get away with this.

I'd ride this piece of awesome to Coles. Like Manjoft said, with a stereo in that basket, blaring music.

Anonymous said...

why is there an article on a trike? I'm just confused.
