• Poll Results: Have You Bought a Pony Toy Yet?

Results for the Pony toy poll.  How the hell did you guys manage to tie? It has been even this entire time between embarrassment and no.

So why ARE you embarrassed to buy poni? Is it a parent/room mate thing? Or are you just afraid to go pick one up at the store? Buying ponies isn't really that scary.  Most people working in retail will just think you are buying it for someone else.

    1. I live in a small town, and everyone would know if I got a pony toy from the local McDonalds.

...so my sister got one for me.
      she kind of rocks.

    3. The toys are not released yet in my country so I voted no, I will totally buy the gift set if I ever see it.
For those whom are embarrassed, just act casual, don't give a shit if they give you strange looks, don't tell anyone that you are just buying it for your sister because that's suspicious, you don't need to justify the stuff you buy.

    9. I got a McDonalds Fluttershy pony from the drive thru with my lunch. It was no big deal. I'm not getting any more ponies (McDs or otherwise) because they don't look very close to the show, so aren't useful for investigating drawing angles.

    10. Wasn't sure about buying some mainly due to what others might think. Now I'm planning to start buying thanks to the Toys R Us deal. Also planning to get Dead Space 2 along with the ponies, that will be interesting. x3

    11. Got the full McD's set sitting on my desk at work. Reality check folks - if you're the kind of person who keeps toys and nick-nacks in your room/office/whouse/whatever the vast majority of people don't really make any kind of distinction between your "cool" toys, and a stack of neon coloured ponies.

Also to the Anon at 9:55am (two above me I think) there's a couple of different molds for the McD toys. The "half head in hair" ponies (Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity) only work from one specific angle, but the "full head" ones (Rainbow, Twilight, Cheerilee, Applejack, Celestia) all are much better. No articulation, but they work in 3D space much better if you want drawing reference.

    12. Gosh, I was buying ponies way before MLP was even remotely as trendy as it is now. I mean, I know MLP was big for girls back in my youth but it was certainly *quite* girly back then.

FiM really broadens the appeal of the ponies to all ages and genders. Either that or I'm just older and don't give a flying feather what others think of me :p

    13. 'Twas easy to walk into (or drive thru) McDonald's and ask for a girl's happy meal pony. ;) I got Applejack, Twilight, & Celestia that way. Rarity was given me by a friend. I wanted the rest, but before I knew it they had moved on to Barbie toys...I should have bought more than one at a time. ><
