ReplyDeleteOh, wow. So much potential in this. Let's see: anything ponified would be totally awesome. Among the ones already suggested, Star Wars=WIN, Avatar would be neat, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre would definitely be interesting. I'm sleep deprived right now, so my best suggestion would be ponyfying Cars. Rainbow Dash matches Lightning McQueen almost to a 'T' or however the heck the phrase goes. And Ponyville seems to be quiet enough that it could double as Radiator Springs. Any Pixar movie I think would look great with ponies in them. That's all I got. I seriously need some sleep right now. :P

A guy goes to the planet of Equestria, populated by the race Po'ni, where he has to take a Po'ni avatar to survive it's atmosphere. The evil military wants to take the precious element Friendship from the Po'nies for themselves, so they make the guy live with them so they can obtain it. He finds out Po'nies are awesome, and joins them to fight off the evil military.

After a disaster, the city of Cloudsdale has dissapeared and the skys of Equestria are no longer pony maintained. The Pegasus that used to control the weather seem to have dissapeared and became mere Old Mares tales from times long ago. The trueth is, the Pegasi had to move and settled over the Everfree forest, and had tried to rebuild, but the forest never let them. They lived in isolation and eventually only stories remained of their old way of life.
One day, an Earthpony working for a logging company starts logging the Everfree forest. When the two ponies encounter each other they embark on an adventure of rediscovery.

But the medical discoveries are even shorter lived as the two alicorns unleash Discord on accident, out of their rage and new mind power, from the Siberian tundras and he Summons other monsters on a holocaust against humanity. The alicorns side with him, only to realize the terrible mistake they made. But it's too late, and humanity and all of it's history is buried beneath a new world of chaos. But Celestia discovers she can now alter the movement of the sun, and with it newfound magic power. Enough to freeze Discord in stone And recreate the world they destroyed, but limited to their power Luna and Celestia can only bring forth pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies. However, the 3 races begin to show hostility, as the alicorn sisters disappear to gather strength they lost rebuilding earth, setting the stage for the beginning of Equestria. This should be a fanfic I should write even though I've never published one before

@Bob Another fabulous suggestion. Though I would suggest Pinkie for the remake. Don't get me wrong. I love the original, and Gene Wilder did a fantastic Wonka. But "new" Wonka seems to be more off his hinges than the "old." And Pinkie is definitely a pony that's off her hinges.

2001: A Space Mare
ReplyDeleteBefore the regal sisters came, before the three tribes, there was only the untamed and wild. Until someone, or something from the stars touched them.
Now many millions from the fate-full encounter with the "Mare-o-lith" the ponies have taken to space. All in an effort to compete with the United Tribal State Zebra (the UTSZ)and prove their dominance over their stripped counterparts. Development of large orbital research stations and communities have been built. And the ponies have even gone as far as Luna's old prison, with the blessings of Celestia. Here, researchers detect a strange radio-frequency.
Research teams soon uncover a solid black rectangle, in the proportion of a door. The mysterious object, dubbed the "Mare-o-lith" confounds the researchers. All attempts at opening it have ended in failure.
Several years after its discovery, they detect another in the outer expanses of the solar-system. Eager to meet it before the Zebras, a small crew is assembled aboard the Discoverer and journey with the ASI AI system. Threats abound. Sure to spark debates and discussion to span many generations!
So many philosophical, scientific, and theological questions to be asked...

Fluttershy or Twilight as Charlie, Rarity as Veruca Salt, Applejack or Spike as Mike TeaVee, Rainbow Dash as Violet Beauregarde, Pinkie Pie as Augustus Gloop, Celestia as Willy Wonka, and various background fillies would be the Oopma Loompas. This could also work with the CMC as the main Children

ReplyDeleteAnyone else think a crossover of Hunger Games, where maybe somepony *Cough cough Twilight cough* messes up on a spell and the mane cast is teleported to Equestria's future where they have the Pony Hunger Games? It's an idea and Hunger Games comes out 2012, so I'm pumped. Also apparently Doctor Who is making another full length movie so maybe that. Also I +1 James Cameron's Avatar probs my fav movie of all time seen it like 15 times or more.

She has help in the form of Fluttershy a vocal therapist with unconventional means.
The movie also features Celestia, the sister to Luna, who steps down from the throne so that she can be with the mare she loves.
