• BroNYCon Ticket Prices Rising Tonight!

If you were planning to attend BroNYCon in January, it might be a good idea to grab the tickets now.  Midnight tonight (EST, or 9:00 PM Pacific), the tickets will be increasing by five dollars a pop.

Hit up their website for information, and keep an eye on the nightly roundups for any new events taking place.  It seems like every day, another well known name pops up on their roster.

    1. God, finally!

Now I'll never have to do that again. The urge has been satisfied.

    8. I was interested before, but I noticed a specific person was going to be there on the list. Strong dislike to that one person. I'm not going to say who. Maybe next time.

    9. Gotta get Kathleen Barr (voice of Trixie) for the next BroNYcon. For Seth's sake.

    10. I'm actually waiting for the prices to rise so when I buy a ticket you can make more money. I'm a nice person.

    11. .... Wish they had Kentucky brony-con!!! Or I wish I was old enough to drive/ had enough of my own money to fly

    12. I swear, there needs to be a Bronycon West, like maybe in California. I am not going to pay Celestia knows how much just to fly to NY for however long the convention is. If there were a Bronycon West, it would save West Coast bronies time and money trying to attend the convention. Maybe different people and events would occur, but I think it would at least be more fair to the overall community.

    13. I'll join! As soon as I fix my canoe, I'll take a tube train down to the Thames, row out and down the English Channel, and then it's a straight shot across the Atlantic! What could go wrong? xD

Speaking as a core staff member of BroNYCon let me:

      A) thank you for the thoughtfulness! and

      B) explain that people pre-paying as early as possible helps Tinker to be able to put down payments on the convention location, pay for tickets for people like Nicole Oliver and Andrea Libman to fly in, etc. This is why she tries to give incentives for people to prepay ASAP.

The best thing you could do? Pre-pay $60 right now and be a SPONSOR, which gets you guaranteed awesome seating for events, your name up on a big sign for everypony to see (unless you prefer anonymity) and most likely more benefits; last time sponsors and super sponsors got free posters signed by Jayson Thiessen and Sethisto!

Or you could pay $120 or $200 to be a Super Sponsor or Gold Sponsor, but... I digress. >.>

Well good luck, Lord knows how rough the seas will be in the middle of January, plus be sure to check the timezones too much sure you get there one time.

    18. Oh, wish I could go so much. But I won't have the time and money for a big trip by then. Eventually, eventually...

    19. @Tsitra360 You can't please all the ponies all of the time. Anyways, I hope you decide to go anyways. Remember, you can just go to another event while your disliked person is speaking. We DO have multiple things going on at the cons :)

    20. As a reminder, gang, if you can't afford to go to BroNYCon-- or simply want to join a pony group local to you (and you should want to do this; they're a lot of fun!), go to http://www.bronies.com/map and find your nearest group!

    24. Wish I could go; unfortunately I'm in the younger portion of the brony population and I don't think my parents would approve.
