• Music:Fluttershy Likes Being Nice / A Mare's Nightmare / Nightmare Millennium

Tons of music lately. I'm glad this community is so full of musicians/composers, my playlists have never been so full.

Even if the only thing half these songs have to do with pony is the title. I'm not complaining though!

    #1 is SO HAPPY

1.) Foozogz - Fluttershy Likes Being Nice (CUTENESS OVERLOAD MIX)
    2.) A Mare's Nightmare
3.) Omnivore feat. DJ P0N-3 - Nightmare Millennium - Pony Trance

      1) Awesome, I love this
      2) Not bad
      3) Meh

      Oh yeah, and you switched 2 & 3 :P

    5. The third reminds me of the Max Payne theme...

    6. 1) pure joy
      2) cool party music
      3) this should be game background music for the title screen or something right?

    8. I like the third one the best, Pogosama's "A Mare's Nightmare".

I notice with a lot of these songs that the trend is towards repeating a musical phrase and adding elements to that phrase every third or fourth repetition. This works nicely with the electronica but not so well in the orchestral pieces. I'm sure the simple design helps a lot in producing music quickly. 8^) A little too quickly maybe -- oft times there is no riff or chord to punctuate the end of the song... Pogosama's "A Mare's Nightmare" does have an end riff and I appreciate that. ^_^ On the other hand, an open-ended piece blends better with its beginning when listening to it on endless repeat.

    9. These are all awesome, Liked 1 and 3 best but its really hard to pick favourites in these usually since they are almost always just as good as each other.

    10. Well I'm complaining...
I wish we could separate them better.

A little bit, but mostly in tone.

Thanks for the download link! I like it better each time I listen to it. I'm curious to hear how you plan on fitting rap lyrics to this. It's so nice as is, I can't imagine it getting any better.

You know, It worked for the first couple verses, but when I "rap" I go to fast and it ends up taking away from the song itself. I think Ill let sleeping dogs lie on that one, and do something a bit faster paced to match the way I write lyrics.

Thanks again for the feedback though, it really means alot.

    15. The first one made me really happy, then the other two brought me down... the second was better than the third

    16. 1) Very upbeat and lighthearted but repetitive; I of think a Kirby or classic Sonic stage.

      2) Could be very easily heard at a club; quite trance-like, I lost track of those 4.5mins.

      3) Sombre but encouraging, like Phendrana Drifts from Metroid Prime; could be mistaken for one of Yamamoto's pieces, and that's a good thing.

    19. I enjoy music that repeats the same melody but adds small changes over iterations

    21. 1) Upbeat and awesome! It's a keeper.
      2) Wow! Adding that to my trance playlist.
      3) Always enjoy music that incorporates piano.

    23. 1) I didn't think I would say this, but... this one's way too repetitive. Cute Fluttershy aside, I can't find any redeeming qualities in this, sadly.
      2) I love me some trance, but this really isn't pony music at all. Samples from the show are far and few in between; it really feels like one would call this pony music just to cater to the pony fans. I know pony music doesn't have to be called pony music just because it uses a bunch of different samples from the show, and that it can have a kind of theme that is inspired and about the show, but it really didn't feel like that here. Still, though, it's really good.
      3) This one, however, felt more like it wanted to represent something from the show. Being stuck on the moon for a thousand years has got to have some kind of effect on your emotions, especially if you got banned there because of getting corrupted by some kind of evil.

    25. Much as I like these songs I personally find the songs that actually have something to do with the show to be much more fun.

On that note if anyone can point me towards good pony songs that feel like they aren't just some random songs with pony picture and -name I would be really happy (for example I really enjoyed Pony Swag and Fluttershy's Lament).

    27. 1) Honestly a bit repetitive, but if there was like a fluttershy pmv with it it would be a lot better. Just keeps it more interesting.
      2) decent
      3)once again, decent
